Name of the Pokémon: Minior-Meteor
Role(s): Defensive Pivot, Physical Wall, Hazard Setter
Type: Rock/Dragon
Abilities: Levitate /
Reckless
Stat Distribution: 80/60/120/100/60/80 (480)
Movepool Additions: Recover, Spikes, Draco Meteor, Dragon Pulse, Mystical Fire, Heat Crash, Flash Cannon, Meteor Beam, Scorching Sands, Night Shade, Earth Power
Movepool Removals: Shell Smash, Calm Mind
Justification: Minior is the perfect defensive partner for Klefki. Thanks to its Rock/Dragon-typing and ability in Levitate, Minior easily covers for Klefki's Fire and Ground weaknesses, while Klefki's great Steel/Fairy-type covers for almost all of Minior weaknesses, except for Fighting and Steel, which are both neutral but Klefki can threaten Fighting-types. Minior also provides some nice utility for Klefki, with hazard setting abilities in Spikes and Stealth Rock and pivoting in U-Turn (and Explosion ig)
Beats: Nothing yet
Loses to: Gastrodon, Klefki (Klefki's STABs slightly outdamages your Earth Powers)
Name of the Pokémon: Simisear
Role(s): Defensive Pivot, Hazard Remover, Physical Wall
Type: Fire
Abilities: Gluttony / Sticky Hold /
Ignite*
Stat Distribution: 75/98/113/68/83/61 (498)
Movepool Additions: Rapid Spin, Super Fang, Slack Off, Curse, Hypnosis, Parting Shot, Body Slam, Burning Jealousy
Movepool Removals: Nasty Plot, Grass Knot, Flame Charge
Custom Elements: Ignite - Fire -ate clone
Justification: Like Minior is to Klefki, Simisear is the perfect defensive partner for Gastrodon. Its pure Fire typing handles Grass-types for Gastrodon while Gastrodon's Water/Ground typing with Water Absorb shuts down all of Simisear's weaknesses. Simisear brings plently of utility to the table with Taunt, Parting Shot, Hypnosis, Will-O-Wisp, Body Slam paralysis, and a near unblockable Rapid Spin and Super Fang with Ignite, or the option of having a near permanent hazard immunity with Sticky Hold and Heavy-Duty Boots.
Beats: Klefki
Loses to: Gastrodon
Name of the Pokémon: Vileplume
Role(s): Offensive Pivot, Status Spreader, Cleric
Type: Grass/Poison
Abilities: Effect Spore / Filter /
Flower Veil
Stat Distribution: 75/112/70/60/70/113 (500)
Movepool Additions: Trichomes*, U-Turn, Rock Slide, Healing Wish, Gunk Shot, Play Rough, Throat Chop, Poison Jab
Movepool Removals: Swords Dance, Growth, Grassy Terrain, Grassy Glide
Custom Elements: Trichomes - Poison-type Physical Thunder Cage clone
Justification: Vileplume is pretty simple. It can come in, even on Toxic Spikes which it gets rid of, clicks Petal Blizzard, Gunk Shot, and Rock Slide or Drain Punch a bunch, then switches with U-Turn or heals a teammate with Healing Wish. It also has some neat utility options in Sleep Powder, Leech Seed, and Strength Sap, which can all forces switches that Vileplume can abuse with the Trichomes or U-Turn. Can't really touch Klefki, but that's what teammates are for.
Beats: Gastrodon
Loses to: Klefki
Name of the Pokémon: Zebstrika
Role(s): Offensive Pivot, Status Absorber, Status Spreader
Type: Electric/Ghost
Abilities: Volt Absorb / Sap Sipper /
Quick Feet
Stat Distribution: 72/70/83/117/73/110 (525)
Movepool Additions: Mystical Fire, Shadow Ball, Switcheroo, Hex, Psycho Shift, Memento
Movepool Removals: N/A
Justification: Zebstrika is a slight twist on the typical Electric-type pivot formula. It's decently powerful and has great offensive coverage in TBolt, Shadow Ball/Hex, and Flamethrower, has Volt Switch to pivot, and nice utility options in Switcheroo and Thunder Wave to keep the opponent on their toes. However, where Zebstrika gets really interesting is its ability, Quick Feet. Either by holding a Flame Orb yourself or switching into a Toxic or Will-O-Wisp, Zebstrika quickly becomes blazing fast while retaining the ability to switch moves, which can really annoy walls that rely on these moves to neutralize threats. And if the damage is racking up too quickly, and you're not holding an orb, you can always heal off the status with Psycho Shift and make it someone else's problem. Though it gets stonewalled by Gastrodon, Zebstrika should be a fun mon to play with it.
Beats: Klefki (Spam Mystical Fire/Overheat, Klefki can't hit you back very hard)
Loses to: Gastrodon
