Pale pass looks like an interesting place to say the least. I actually think it would be a cool little community to build in. Any rules like oho where you can only build with certain materials? And is it up for colonizing? Coords?

The rules that we have in Pale Pass are fairly simple, just stick woth the theme of the buildings (heavily wood,stone,planks, stonebrick).
we dont want to give away the coords just yet but if your on at the same time as myself (chival), asdfy, wolf or renegde ask us to show you it =)
And as for building.. were not realy sure yet as we dont want to have enverything super squished
 
Ah, ok. I guess it's just that I want to contribute to Pale pass as I love wintery type feely places (awkward wording there 9_9). So I'm guessing those houses are your's then? Or did you make them to be NPC ones? All in all, I think this would make a nice cozy colony for some to settle in. It would be much more difficult to thrive in because on the outskirts of town the forests are constantly spawning baddies in the dark. A bigger challenge if you call it.
 
@ Rawbi

When you do the Oho video, be sure to include the slime farm and feel free to ride up the slimevator from my house. I trust you remember how to get there. Also if you go down to the skeleton trap there's a nice little wheat farm machine thing I've made over there. I'll put up a few signs that explain how to use it, I think it'd be a pretty cool thing to show in the video. Showing tennisace's house would probably be a good idea since he is the founder after all. Also for views either go right to the top of tennis's tower or top of Master Win aka jamster's tree.
 
I arrived in Lotus Village for the first time today, looks really cool. I already have a plan for a house, I'll see how it turns out.

Important: I was attacked by a creeper in the rail-tunnel from spawn to the village, and it completely destroyed around 6 rails (stupid lag didn't let me hit him quickly enough). I don't have any rails, so I couldn't repair it. I placed a sign where it happend to let you know, but I thought I'd post it here as well.

Also, Fisdunction's lighthouse looks pretty boss so far.

Fixed it.

If you have unfinished business in Oho, make it presentable by tomorrow, or I'm recording it as is!
 
Someone built some giant tower in front of my house in Lotus :(

Well I had a nice view...guess next time I'll have to make stuff close to things so it won't be obstructed instead of trying to build outwards to allow for a bit of room around the main area.
 
Hey, here's a little idea of how my house in Lotus Village might look like, gimme some feedback. If too many people say it's horrible, I'll scrap it and think of something new. :D

I kinda like the open look of it, and I still have ~70% of the space unused, so there's a lot to do.

edit: Ignore the giant blue sphere and the tree, haha

I agree with the fact that the open look is nice, but then the roof kind of takes away from the feeling.

Maybe make the roof part glass too? Just a suggestion.
 
I like it, and considering there's no real...code? besides using a lilypad, should be ok.

I say throw in a water fountain somewhere, but that's me.

...you know what's sad is I have that game and I didn't realize that was where the name came from, I just thought it was a pun on Delfino somehow >.>

Anyways, nice to see you were soooo eager to see asdfy's ship you jumped off a parapet lol. Kinda creepy how everyone was crouched and following behind you while filming.

Because I've never played that game. I thought the name was original!

I guess it's some weird twist of fate that compelled me to make a structure from a Mario game in a Mario-themed community...
 
Yo.

Quick question: I want to build in Oho Oasis, and for what I have in mind I'll need a large (I mean large) amount of sandstone.

The way I usually get Sandstone in SP is by choosing a desert and digging a giant hole into it, then never visit it again.

Since smogcraft is a multiplayer server, I figured I'd ask first. I'll wander far away for it, but still, when I'm done with the desert, it won't look so pretty anymore. If you guys say you don't want an ugly crater somewhere in the sand, I'll find a different way.
 
Yeah, if you leave a crater in the desert, I'll murder you. I generally find deserts and just flatten a mountain or a strip of land, which yeah if you don't put effort into will still look unnatural, but is way, way, way better than a giant hole in the ground.

Sorry, keeping landscapes natural is like my form of Minecraft OCD.
