Obviously something is wrong, or it would work.D:
It didn't work for me.
The number I tapped the application is correct,
My SID is correct (I used my wild not-chained not-bred swinub)
Everything is correct.
I also use R4

I've found Sweet Scenting to be a great method to make sure you don't screw up the journal taps, since it tells me where the RNG is currently placed. Although I had to revert to version 4.0 to use a Seed Finder that didn't limit me to an offset less than 1000.
Now I have a 26\30\23\31\22\31 shiny Naive Azelf to show for it. :D Going for shiny HP Ground 70 Cresselia next.
EDIT: I've still got a few frames ahead that have that same spread; any suggestions as to what I should catch Naive and shiny?
Just confirming, the three birds increase the offset by 1 each as well right? So if I have those 3 out, then my offset can't be lower than 4?
I don't have problems with the offset.Does anyone else have their Offset change after 3 or 4 SR's? I'll finally get an offset of 5 then without saving (So the NPC's don't cause the Offset to change) it'll suddenly change to 6 or something else. It's seriously annoying, having to look for an Offset again every 5 tries.
So I decided to take out my dusty JP Pearl, find my SID through my only Shiny I caught (since there's no SID code for JP Pearl I think), and I found this in RNG Reporter
23/25/16/28/29/31 Hasty
Method J
Offset: 80
Date: 1/1/2092 (Happy New Year!)
Delay: 602
Seed: 130c02b6
PID: 489310186
Going for Palkia with this, but I want to ask some things:
1) Is Palkia's offset 1 for Pearl?
2) How do I reach that target "frame"? Following Pokerealm's example (and if offset =1), it would be hard as 79 (80-Palkia's offset) is a prime number, which would mean I have to walk around for 10112 steps with one Pokemon. Are there any other ways that would speed up this process? (that I probably wouldn't have bothered to check the last few pages on?) Is there any way to confirm the delay?
3) I heard this can be manipulated through journal flips. Tell me the specifics
iirc, the RNG advances by 1 per pokemon in your parter after 128 steps. If you have 5 in your party, that's 5 advances for every 128 steps. Don't quote me on it, though. The OP has info on it.
Hello guys, now, this might be a stupid question but I'm not that familiar with the RNG methods yet so please be nice^^
I understand perfectly well how to do the Breeding stuff with right nature and shiny. no problems there, works out perfectly. (or at least nearly^^)
But as I basically use only the Egg PID stuff, I noticed there are other methods as well (naturally).
Now I know how the thing with the Eggs works out, but there's more the RNG Reporter is capable to do and taking the updates in account I guess it will be even more.
So can this program help me to get shiny legendaries(screw the IVs first, I'm a beginner) at the first try when I'm doing it right?
For what else can it be useful in terms of getting shinies? Would wild encouters with getting the right frame also be shiny?
I'm playing platinum so I don't know what works out there.
Are there things that work in Diamond/Pear that don't in Platinum?
What would that be? Is it useful and how to do it?
Which Method is for what useful?
Sorry many questions, but the tutorial at the beginning explains much about RNGing itself but not about the program and what actually can be done with it except the shiny eggs^^
Ah sorry addition: This also works out for Emerald? Same questions here, shiny legendaries, right nature stuff, wild encouters, what's possible?
-> in short: is there a rng method for encountering shiny legendaries?
how? no tutorials out there:(
this has been happening to me lately. I would hit a consistent offset but get the wrong delay and after a few resets the offset changes. Its a real frustrating ordeal but i guess theres nothign you can do about it but keep resetting.Does anyone else have their Offset change after 3 or 4 SR's? I'll finally get an offset of 5 then without saving (So the NPC's don't cause the Offset to change) it'll suddenly change to 6 or something else. Let me get this:Therefore the OP is right. The offset is 80 so walk 128 steps with an odd amount of pokemon in your party in palkia's area, don't head back into mt cornet. Then do journal flips that say caught pokemon ( 80 - # of party ) amount of times.
Let me get this:
Say I have 5 pokemon
80-5 (after 128 steps) = 75
75-(75 Journal Flips) = 0
0-1 (Palkia's offset) = -1
Is this it?
I have a few questions that I'd like answered:
1. What's method 4?
2. What purpose and use does the IVs to PID tool provide?
3. What purpose and use does the Seed to Time tool provide?
4. What does the A's and B's mean when calculating for an IV spread?
5. Can anyone tell me how to calculate for IV spreads with a specific nature?
Thanks to anyone who can answer.
4. A's and B's mean the IV will pass from that parent
