Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

I suppose you can, it is a stationary pokemon.

Ok, this RNG finally got the best of me and although defeated I'd really like to know where exactly was that I lost...

I had to hit a delay of 2176 and the 6910088B seed at the 16:43:50 of the 11/01/2011 (today).
Some times I didn't hit the delay, that's cool. But now it's been four times that I hit the following, according to the seed finder function after catching and checking IVs of the pokemon:
Delay: 2176
Seed: 69100880
According to RNG reporter seed to time function, that seed equals to the following result:
Delay: 2165
Seed: 69100880
Date and time: 16:43:50 11/01/2011

Here are two screenshots with some of the information:

I'm quite angry at myself for not having a single clue as to what or where I'm screwing up so any kind of feedback would be highly appreciated.

Your seed finder says year = 2000. As the year goes up, the delay goes down. You hit the right seed, just not the right frame.

Hmmm, that does make me feel a bit stupid -_- Didn't know that when doing the open search you had to change it.

But still, I fixed the year on the seed finder and the only thing that changed was the delay, that naturally went from 2176 to 2165. It still says the seed is 69100880 instead of 6910088B so RNG still got the better of me ;(

And also, how exactly is it that I'm even hitting an odd delay when I normally should be hitting even ones? Is it because I'm using an AR to start up the game or something?

I thought you had said that was what you were aiming for up there.. must've misread.

Anyway... that means your delay is wrong. You're 11 delays too low. That's why you kept missing.

OOh interesting. Thanks but the thing is with snorlax you have to play the flute aswell, does that screw up the whole thing?

It probably advances the frame. Only way to tell is find someone who's done it or experiment yourself.

Yeah, think I'm gonna rest today and continue with it tomorrow. Thanks for all your responses mate.

One last question just to be 110% certain. Is it possible to be 11 delays short of the seed (2165->2176) when I'm supposed to hit only even delays according to all the calibration that I did? I do not have a GBA cartridge in, only starting up the game with an AR.

Cheers

Just wondering, how do I breed a ghastly with hidden power e.g. HP fire 70. I can't find how I can do it on the RNG reporter or the JavaRNG

I'm trying to RNG the roaming Raikou. I have all three roamers in the wild then proceed to KO Raikou. I battle the E4 then save in front of Lance, hit my target delay, etc.

1. What frame will Raikou respawn on if Entei and Latias are still roaming?

2. Say Raikou respawns on frame 6 and my target frame is 50. Does that mean I have to advance the frame 44 times before battling Lance?

3. RNG Reporter at the main screen gives me times for every frame when I click generate (for Method 1) for my target seed. Should I be using that time or the ones given to me by "Seed to Time" function?

Okay actually I figured out that you need 31/30/31/30/31/30 for HP fire. So basically if I RNG breed a pokemon like this, will I have hidden power fire 70?

Since there's only one roamer to be re-spawned (while the other two are still roaming), it will be on frame 1 after re-spawning.
If there are two roamers to be re-spawned (while the other one is roaming), they will start on frames 1 and 6. The roamer order is Entei -> Raikou -> Lati@s. Try reading Post #2 from the first page.

Answer to question #2: You'll advance 44 frames if there are no other roamers in the map. Formula for frame advancements is: Frames to Advance = Target Frame - Monster Frame - Advanced frame due to roamers in the map - miscellaneous advances (includes wandering NPCs, date roll-overs, etc)

Thanks, I did read the post but for some reason the "respawn" part didn't register in my head and I thought the current roamers stayed on frames 1 and 6 and the new one would respawn on 11 or something...I don't even know.

Anyways, I'm trying to hit a target frame of 237 and I'm saved in front of Lance so I have to use the radio. I'm not quite sure how it works though. I know Pokemon Search Party and Silver Drama both give consistent frame advances of +1, but when is this applied? For example, is it +1 for every new piece of text that comes on while the station is playing or +1 every time the station reloops to the first message it played?

I would use Pokemon Talk but since I don't have Elm calls to help me determine what frame Pokemon Talk actually landed me on, I don't think I can use that. Is there a faster way to do this?

Now I feel awkward asking another question about shiny hatching, especially since I just tried to help someone else on this same subject a couple pages back =/

Yesterday I was able to easily breed a shiny Dunsparce on my first time ever performing the process. But today I've failed twice at breeding a shiny Beldum. I verified that I was on my correct seeds before putting the two parents into the daycare, then saved in front of the daycare man when he was (supposed to be) holding my egg. But after I hatched it, it wasn't shiny and it was the wrong nature. Since it's the breeding method, I don't know how to figure out where it went wrong. It gets really frustrating since Beldum takes so long to hatch, and after all that time I didn't get what I wanted. Any suggestions?

If you hit the right delay but got the wrong egg totally, then it sounds like an issue with your frame maybe? Calling Youngster Joey the right amount of time or maybe counting the eggs right? :o

Well, I was able to get it on my third try. I used one of the failed babies as the parent instead of my old Beldum, and it worked. So my question is (and I know I should have checked this before I started), do Pokemon from the Pokewalker make it not work? Like do they count as international Pokemon or something like that? My first Beldum was from the Pokewalker just because it was the only one I had at the time. That's the only possible reason I could see for the first two attempts failing, and the third one working when I used a Pokemon hatched in my cartridge.

Hi, I'm new there and this is actually my 4th time trying RNG abuse.

I've succeed IV abusing 2 times but it's very hard o hit right delays and frames. I tried to use PikaTimer but it doesn't seem to work on my computer (I've just updated Java and rebooted the machine, didn't help. I've heard that .jar files might not work on Win 7...)

Now I'm trying to breed nearly flawless shiny adamant Horsea. I got that horsea shiny and adamant in no time but getting good genes is another story...

There are some details:

A - 31/31/31/31/31/31
B - 18/31/14/7/1/31

Target seed: 3B130281
Target date: 31.1.2011
Target time: 19:14:14
Delay: 630
Starting frame: 3
Frame: 5
31/B/30/A/A/31

Problem is that suddenly the starting frame changes when I actually hit right delay...

1. 3B130285
14 seconds delay 634
12/29/B/A/A/18
Frame 3

2.3B13027D
14 seconds delay 626
30/B/16/A/20/30
Frame 3

3.3B130281
14 seconds delay 630
31/B/B/5/8/9
Frame 6 (1 journal flip -> 6-2 = 4)

4.3B13027B
14 seconds delay 624
3/22/16/B/B/A
Frame 3

Any solution to this? Or should I give up and try different seed? Game is Diamond.

Thanks in advance.

Firstly if you hit even delay you will ALWAYS keep hitting even Delay. To change your delay by 1 (even to odd or vice versa), either put a pokemon GBA game on the bottom of your DS or change the year by 1.

To answer your question, are you doing 4th gen Shiny egg in the time finder?
If you are you start counting the flips after the 10 flips you do to verify the seed.

I'm using Method J to get Giratina in Distortion World. Would I have to check the "Odd/Even must always match" option in Seed to Time if I put the GBA game in the slot?
I know Giratina's monster frame is 12 and not 1 because of Distortion World's wonky RNG advances, but it was just vague about when I start counting manual frame advances.
Sorry, I'm quite new to this whole RNG thing, I'll probably have a lot more questions.

So I'm trying to capture a perfect Togepi and I don't know what to do after finding the Seed to Timer. When you generate, do you want the delay to be in the range that you got or what? And to be sure, once you have your target you change your DS Time to a couple seconds back from the target time. After that I don't know how to find the frame and other things.

What game are you trying to catch it in?
