Quick question, is abusing Roamers difficult, and do you do all three at once or one by one?

Off topic, can a pokémon with Substitue active survive Explosion if it uses it?

it nearly impossible to do all three at once since all are method 1 pokemon, therefore if you want a specific spread gthere will only be 1 frame that has it, so if you want a specific set of IVs the chances of 3 seperate spreads appearing with the IVs/nature you want on the same seed are unlikely, so one by one is the way.
 
Finally going to start RNG'ing in SS, but had a few quick questions if anyone could help?

I am going to start with Groundon then Lugia, is using the Silver Drama okay?
Assuming there both on a frame of 1, with method K.

Just starting so sorry if this has been covered before.
 
Ok, I'm really new to the whole PRNG thing, so pleas excuse my stupidity if this has been asked before. I'm just curious, where can I download the RNG reporter for platinum, and also, is this the program I should be using or should I be using something else??
 
im trying to teach someone to RNG on HG, and I'm starting with calibration. He doesn't have enough rare candies or AR so would it be possible calibrate by catching Lugia and using its IVs?

that would work it can be any poke as long as you can check its IVs, theres even an IV range option in seed finder in the latest RNG reporter that can be used to check your delay and seed by inputting a range of a pokemon's IVs and a range of delays to look for.

can you use the silver drama radio to advance the frame for Lugia/Groundon?
 
yeah that's right that's what you use to advance the frame. In case you didn't know, when you press the bottom-right button (if its not Buenas Password) and drag the cursor back to the centre, the frame advances by one.
 
Damn failing for the third time at hitting my target frame.
Maybe you guys can help.

Target Seed: A4160986
Target Frame: 57
Target Nature: Adamant
Roamers: Entei, Raikou
Goal: Extremespeed Dratini

Gotten:
Mild
HP: 25-31
Atk: 19-25
Def: 24-29
SpA: 7-13
SpD: 0-6
Spe: 31

Frame 56 is Mild (but IV range don't fit, odd..)
I advance with calling Julian 27 Times.
Starting Frame 3 + 54 = 57.

But I always get mild which is on 56. Logically I tried to advance then only one frame more (did by calling Irwin)
But then I landed on Bashful and it wasn't in the list at all.

I'm pretty sure I hit the delay, no messup in the advance as I hit three times Mild.

So what should I try next?

You can check what Seed you hit using the roamers. That would make it a bit easier than just thinking you hit the delay. Unless you have been checking.

As best as I can see, that spread does not appear on that Seed, so I'd say you were hitting the wrong Seed. Did you check any of the near by Seeds?

I used the roamers for checking and the routes fit with the routes of the target seed that's why I was pretty sure that I hit my delay/seed.

And you wrote down the routes they were in before when you saved in front of the Dragon guy?

If so, I'm at a loss. Unless you keep getting a false possitive. Maybe plug the time you were using and the IVs you do get to see what Seed/frame you're hitting. I don't know what time you were using, so I can't do that for you.

But that spread is not on that Seed, that's all I know.
 
You know, since Romsstar WROTE the guides about using the roamers to find the seed, I believe he would know that already.

That's why I'm at loss too. I guess I should keep trying. hm:(

@Romsstar: Level the Dratini up to find more accurate IVs so the Reporter can find the spread if you get that one again? Or something?

Yeah nice idea, but on retail cart it's kinda hard to access enough rare candies. But I appreciate your help.
I'll find some way. (hopefully)

If I just had the Elm Responses damn.
Just too soon, and I can't rely on Irwin, not enough tests yet.

Well, if ten or so would be enough to narrow them down, I have a fair amount of BP still kicking around my Plat.

I've tried some of the "solvers" out there with varying degrees of success. I had one get me up to level 6, then bombed back to level 1 and stayed there for four or five boards. I was hoping some of the minds here had come up with something more accurate.
