Yeah, but I don't have an AR so that's quite lengthy. Can I possibly mash A before any NPCS moves, go fly to an area with high level pokemon, input the time i got into the game with the seed finder under method 1 (a separate rng reporter opened in other words), enter its stats to see what delay I entered the game? Or I have to do it your way in that I should hatch my egg as if I were trying to find its save frame?
edit: Also, this is a separate question, but during the calibration phase I kept getting 28-29 normal seconds despite the fact that, according to my timer, it took me about 15-16 seconds to enter the game from my soft reset. Is that normal?
You don't need an AR to verify the Eggs IVs.
Hatch the egg.
Input the species, nature, characteristic and stats for Lv. 1 on MetalKids IV Calculator.
Give an exp. Share to the just hatched poke.
Go to an area with high level pokemon and defeat one.
As the hatched poke levels up thanks to the exp. share, input the now stat (not the stat change, not the +2, the whole new stat number).
The leveling-up will stop around level 6-7, calculate the IVs.
Use the possible IVs given by metalkid's calculator to filter your RNGreporter results.
If you did everything right, RNG reporter will tell you that either you get your egg on the right frame, or on other frames above 100 - which would be impossible.
Use a berry to wipe the EVs gained in the battle via Exp. Share.
