Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Just an equation on how to work out how many clicks I have to make (Mingots formula baffled me!)
Well i have an online calculator for that, but it can't find intialoffset (frame) 12 and 24 correct. If you want I can bring it online, but I need to eat first

P.S. I'm SR'ing now on a Shiny Modest Spiritomb

@ Pokerealm -- The OP is being updated pretty religiously, so all new information or what we have to this point is pretty much there.

Oh my gosh, this is really confusing x_x
But since I'm on strike against my AR at the moment I'd be willing to learn if it meant not spending 4 years hatching an egg with good IVs. >_>
Keep up the good work guys :B

AWESOME =D

I need help with the seeds etc. though. Pretty noob on that part =(

I'll get my SID in a sec.
Please explain step-by-step what I should do after that, like how to find the starting seed and all those stuff with PIDs, with links to apps and programs. I don't have time to look through all the posts xD

EDIT: SID = 34910, ID = 45417

Nevermind, reading the first post.
Will ask if I don't understand anything =)

Damn, the only way to find their IV's for me is using pokesav, but I can't turn off/on the game :x

Anyone who has a code or something for AR (using R4DS), please PM me.

I put the number i got from RNGReporter in the japanese program as well as my ID and PID but i have a problem. When i run the program for normal spreads it works fine; it gives me a list of PIDs. But when i select the shiny box it gives me just one line with some random symbols but no numbers at all. Why's this?

The first line is just random symbols, most likely a header for it.

The second + line would be shiny pids, and it is possible you just didn't get any. Try again and see if it happens. Make sure you have 0x in front of your initial seed.

Mingot, I need your help tonight to figure out legendary SRing. I need to know what the seconds are. Is that the second that the game starts (the black scree with red) or the save file opens?

Did you see what I posted earlier and told you in irc? I'm so close. Just a little tweaking.

Jonny just spent the last 5 hours on MSN with me while we worked on figuring out the egg PID RNG and I am happy to announce that WE NAILED THAT MOTHERFUCKER.

And =Jonny= is fucking awesome and asplained me how to do math.

Turns out that the rng here is not an LCRNG, but a Mersenne Twister.

Which sounds a lot cooler than LCRNG.

Wow... last time I checked, this was 2 pages long, with not much known. You guys are either spammers or geniuses. From the info on the first page, I guess the second. There goes chaining, if I understand this correctly. If it works, there will be no more shiny SBPs ... until 5th gen at least. Not sure if that's awesome...
If someone already said this, sorry. I can't read 20 pages.

Thanks, i didn't know that was possible.

Now i have another problem though. I did this all over again many times and i can't get a delay number around 600. Is this normal too? Do i have to keep trying?

Your delay number is either time on second screen or time to catch a pokemon, so just start fast and get in a battle within the first 10 secs, it will be obvious which seed is yours. It doesn't need to be around 600 by the way.

I need some help guys ^^

Random pokemon seed: AF13027C
Got these PID's:

‰ñ”,PID,«Ši’l,“Á«’l,«•Ê’l
03080‰ñ–Ú,413E7808,‚ª‚ñ‚΂è‚â,1,008,š
07781‰ñ–Ú,15B32C82,‚«‚Ü‚®‚ê ,1,130,š
18422‰ñ–Ú,788241B0,‚¨‚Á‚Æ‚è ,1,176,š

So I chose the 3080 one.

3080/12 = 256,666666666666667

256 - 1 = 255 double clicks
6 - 1 = 5 coin flips

Is this correct?
I didn't fully understand this part:

Step 8

At this point you have some light math to do. Take the number of the shiny PID that you received from calcpid and do the following:

Divide it by 12 and getting the whole number and the remainder. For example, if your starting number was 26 this is what you would do:

38 / 12 = 3 remainder 2. (these numbers are colored here and later when used to help avoid confusion whether we are using the
quotient or the remainder)
