^ Can I use time finder? If yes, what method is it?
@acetrainerzx: method wondercard frame 1 on RNG Reporter.
I've been trying the bug catching contest in National Park and so far it clearly doesn't seem to match nor correspond with Method K non-synch as I've targeted frame 206 only to get what appears to be that of frame 248. Next time I shifted back in difference only to get a different spread from another frame. I'm using a smeargle with sweet scent, spore & false swipe which means the lack of a synchronizer there. It appears the species, gender & spread get determined at time of catch at least.
Volbeats are male.
Ilumises are female.
You people should really create the habit of looking this up at serebii's/ psypoke's/ Bulbapedia's pokedex.
I believe that their breeding pattern is similar to Nidoking/queen's. With them, if you breed a male nido with a Ditto, you will always get male. But if you breed a female with anything else, there is a 50/50 chance of getting male or female.I was already aware of their genders. However, last time I tried that, I got the incorrect Pokemon.
Ohh, I'll try that.I believe that their breeding pattern is similar to Nidoking/queen's. With them, if you breed a male nido with a Ditto, you will always get male. But if you breed a female with anything else, there is a 50/50 chance of getting male or female.
Note: I haven't tried Volbeat/Illumise myself, but it sounds like the same basic idea.
time finder? when it comes to wondercards, the nature is completely random so they're ignored and go by the wondercard method. I personally use Wichu's PokeRNG to find spreads which I believe VileTung had uploaded to his site when someone reported the link not working.^ Can I use time finder? If yes, what method is it?
nevada: It happens occasionally and is a reason why I suggested to make sure save frame is one number (means that you get 7, 7, 7, 7, 7 when you test it out) and no numbers in between. If this is the case, then I found that some years can be bad and mess up your save frame. Try changing your years and finding a different spread that correlates to your save frame (7). If this still shows that your saveframe is 6 and not 7...then change your saveframe. You don't have to try again ^_^
In the chance that you find your save frame jumping too much from 6 to 7 and vice versa...then I suggest you load up the game and save again. A decent indicator is when after you save, the cowgirls and pachirisu doesn't move for a good second. After doing this, find your save frame again and then once you confirm one number, soft reset for IVs. This is only after you changed dates a good 3times or more and still find that your save frame is jumping.
There's something on my RNG Reporter that is really bothering me.
When I open up the program, I see the main page with my ID / SID numbers I'm currently using. When I open up the Time Finder and click on the Shiny Egg Tab, those numbers are still there. However, when I search for Shiny Egg results, my SID changes to a totally different number. Therefore, I cannot get any Shiny Pokemon in my game. Anybody know why this is happening?
I think not, as BarrelRoll and you are doing two different things to get the shiny egg it would seem. You're using RNG reporter main window whereas BarrelRoll is using time finder window Shiny Egg Tab.
If you want to test this Skippy (and don't mind losing a bit of time) don't have a nature or ability set. Just check the shiny egg box and click generate. The first result would be the least number of taps required, albeit sucky nature, and try that. If the egg hatches shiny, then you know it's your tapping. If not...then it's another problem that needs to be further investigated.
Do you have any roamers out? Also, what frame are you hitting? If you don't have enough rare candies to get an idea, atleast look for a nearby adamant spread. I've had random +2 advances before in HG, so you may be getting this too for some reason. I suggest using the elm calls to see where you are at frame wise. To know if you're on the right frame, you have to see if the elm call matches for the frame before it (so if you match frame 15-22 calls and are on your seed, then the articuno you battle should be frame 23).Some help?
For the past two hours, I've been trying to get a Calm, Almost Flawless Articuno; I've hit my delay exactly two times and apparently, I've messed up the exact same way on both attempts. I need to hit a frame of 23; so I did 22 Elm Calls and since Articuno's monster frame is 1, I should be at Frame 23 now; so I battled Articuno and captured it but on both attempts, I got an Adamant Nature. Anyone know whats happening?
Iirc, you can't have an ID or SID that is greater than 65535, so you may want to double check to see if that is your SID.This is really starting to bug me, now.
When I open up RNG Reporter, my ID is 43796 and my SID is 89710. These numbers are correct. I open up the Time Finder and click on the Shiny Egg Tab. When I generate results, my ID stays the same. However, my SID changes to 65535. I'm not changing anything, so I have no idea why it's doing that.
To double check this, I opened up the Capture Tab in the Time Finder since it also involves SID. I clicked the Shiny Only box and generated results. This time, however, the SID (89710) stays the same.
Why would the SID change in the Shiny Egg Tab?
It shouldn't effect it. If you're getting the nature/ability/gender right, but not shiny (assuming that you're going for a shiny egg, and the only thing wrong is the shiny part), then your ID/SID isn't correctly typed into RNG Reporter. Just double check and make sure that you input them correctly (I've had the same problem, only to realize I mis-typed in my SID).I did it that way...And it even hatches with the nature/gender it says it's suppossed to, but still...No shiny.
I have the reporter set as follows...
Method: DPPlt Egg PID (Normal)
ID: 12156 SID: 61700 Shiny Only Checked On
...everything else is set as it's default settings. I then click Seed Finder, and put in the date and time of the game starting (yes, I synched up), and the nature/IVs of the first wild capture I found. I usually get a number around 600. Sometimes I get second number, but I was told to use the near 600 number, so I just ignore the other numer when it appears. I click OK, and then when back in the main window, I click Generate, and nothing else. I use whatever the first starting frame number is, and then do my taps.
This gets me the correct nature and gender it says I'm suppossed to every time, but no shiny still. :/
The only thing left I can maybe think of is that I have a fast hatch code on with my AR. Will that effect it?

I double and triple checked and my SID is 89710. But that's very interesting, though...
@Skippy: Do you have Syberias flawless ditto? If so, you can use international instead of normal, which usually shows up with a lot more shiny spreads, most being pretty low.
1) Yes it advances the RNG by 1 frame, this is explained in the first post under the hide tags.I'm trying to capture a pokemon through fishing and I have a few questions.
1) Does a failed fishing attempt or an attempt that does not give an exclamation mark in pearl advance the frame?
2) Does a swimmer that swims in predictable circles advance the frame (as a wandering npc)?
3) If the answer to 2 is yes, then if I stop the swimmer from moving by standing in front of its path, will it stop the frame from advancing?
Thanks in advance.
