My Rain Dance team. Please rate.

This is probably the best team I have built in a while. Suggestions are appreciated.

Gallade@ Lum Berry
Adamant
186 Atk, 252 Sp Def, 72 HP
Swords Dance
Close Combat
Shadow Sneak
Stone Edge

This is designed to be an anti-lead. With the EV spread, it (barely) survives a Life Orb Timid Gengar's Shadow Ball and KO's it with a SD Shadow Sneak. :toast: This was originally a CB Machamp.

Kingdra@Life Orb
Naughty
Swift Swim
252 Atk, 168 Sp Atk, 88 Speed
Rain Dance
Waterfall
Surf
Draco Meteor

My first rain starter. Waterfall 2HKO's Blissey. Just about every team I've faced is Kingdra-weak.

Dugtrio@Life Orb
Adamant
252 Atk, 252 Speed, 6 SpD
EQ
Stone Edge
Aerial Ace
Sucker Punch

A great revenge killer, and can take T-bolts intended for the rest of my team. Life orb over CB for more freedom.

Blissey@ Leftovers
Bold
252 HP, 252 Def, 6 Speed
Aromatherapy
Seismic Toss
Ice Beam
Softboiled

Formerly a Ludicolo.

Waterfall
Ice Fang
HP Electric
Focus Blast

Thanks to www_dot_com for giving me this set. This rampages through teams.

Threat list:

Tyranitar: Leading T-tar's are taken out by Gallade. Late-game, I will hopefully have the rain up, so Floatzel and Kingdra can kill it. Duggy can also revenge kill it.

Gyarados: Taken out by HP Electric from Floatzel

Infernape: Revenge killed by Duggy, as well as Kingdra (especially when raining).

Azelf: I can see Azelf being a bit of a problem, but it is taken out by Kingdra and Floatzel when raining.

Electivire: Revenge killed by Duggy.

Heracross: Revenge killed by Duggy.

Salamence: It can be a problem, but has never shown itself to be one. Kindra can Draco Meteor it to death, and Floatzel Ice Fangs it. Celebi can (somewhat) wall it and hurts it with HP Ice.

Togekiss: Damn, this thing is a pain. Blissey can use Aromatherapy, and Kingdra and Floatzel can kill it.

Gengar: Gallade.

Garchomp: Celebi, Floatzel, and Kingdra. Do you notice a trend here?

Lucario: Revenge killed by Kingdra and Floatzel. Gallade is a decent switch-in.

Starmie: Floatzel can kill it, and Celebi can Leech Seed it and switch to Blissey.

Weavile: Leads are killed by Gallade. Late-game, it is revenge-killed by Kingdra and Floatzel

Dugtrio: Could be a pain if opponent uses him well, but nothing is very afraid of him.

Porygon-Z: Revenge kill it. I have no safe switch-ins for it.

Machamp: Nothing likes taking hits from it, but Duggy can revenge kill it.

Snorlax: Gallade.

Zapdos: Hasn't been much of a threat, but I can see it being one.

Suicune: Floatzel and Kingdra

Breloom: A pain in the ass. Outspeeding it is key.

Ninjask: I have no phazer/hazer, so it could be a problem.

Metagross: Prediction. That's it.

Heatran: Non-Choice Scarf versions are revenge killed by Duggy. CS versions won't hurt Blissey much.

Celebi: Kingra and Floatzel.

Jirachi: Prediction.

Dragonite: Same counters as Salamence.

Mamoswine: Floatzel.

Gallade: Not sure.

Yanmega: Gallade can take out most leading versions.

Kingdra: My Kingdra.

Roserade: Annoying as hell.

Scizor: Hasn't been much of a problem.

i think its excellent!

but maybe give ludiculo dive instead of surf and rain dish that way he gets two turns of leech seed, rain dance and leftovers restoring a lot of hp maybe even if he had confuse ray or attract it could help also instead of calm mind.

i don't know about floatzel i don't think hes great maybe a lantern, milotic or stamie would be better in my opinion

Ludicolo and blissey seem kind of overkill here, i suggest taking out ludicolo for a Celebi with Leech Seed, HP Ice, Rain Dance, and Recover so it can still kill Chomp, Stall out and of course we need a physical def EV spread seeing as your team seems to lack someone to take physical hits the standard 252 HP / 220 Def / 36 Spe seems good. He also can be used as your second rain dancer.

That sounds good. Thanks!

IIRC, Ludicolo can't use Dive. Also, Floatzel works perfectly. I'd rather not change it.

You know who works even better than Floatzel? Kabutops. Seriously, if you look up and down the OU list, Kabutops in the Rain will just fuck shit up. The Rain boost and you get in your Swords Dance and you pretty much hit everything neutral with SE/WF/XS.

Anyhoo, I dislike the lack of Stealth Rock. For example, you don't random Focus Sash Gengars appearing out of nowhere, and end up taking out something cause you couldn't KO it, or if Weavile comes out later, who might hurt a lot of shit. I'm not sure what your last intended move for Celebi is, but Stealth Rock can get some consideration in there.

Although I don't mind replacing the Dugtrio. Sure it revenge kills, but that's not the point of this team. That'll just open up holes everytime Dugtrio is out there. You don't want a Salamence getting a free hit on you after you EQ kill something, or Gyarados getting too happy with it's free Dragon Dance and then gets lucky with a timely SE CH or some shit. The Dugtrio doesn't even stop a ScarfHeracross, which can greatly fuck up this team. Now we have steels that can help out here, such as Skarmory or Forretress, but you lose out on that whole Infernape thing. So to combine all those factors, a Gyarados can go here. With Rain up, and you get in your DD, those Waterfalls are going to hurt shit. The Intimidate helps you out as well.

To work on all these changes, we could perhaps turn Blissey into like Wish, Seismic Toss, Stealth Rock, Protect. Then maybe let Celebi be like Rain Dance, Heal Bell, Recover, filler.

Kabutops would help with my Celebi problem a lot. How about:

Kabutops@ Focus Sash
Adamant
252 Atk, 232 Speed, 24 HP
Swords Dance
Waterfall
Stone Edge
X-Scissor

Focus Sash lets it get at least one SD off. After that, it outspeeds almost everything with its Swift Swim boost. X-Scissor for Celebi.

BulkyGyara seems like a good idea. Thanks!

You want this Kabutops:

Kabutops @ Life orb
Jolly - 20 HP/252 Attack/236 Speed
-Waterfall
-Swords Dance
-X-Scizzor
-Stone Edge

EVs let you outspeed Lucario (Neutral) which goes at 279 Speed. this set gives you 280 Speed.

Kabutops doesn't really need the extra speed, because of the Swift Swim boost.

But you need to remember something about Rain Dance teams. They have to be able to function outside of Rain too. Your's does, but you're already boosting your attack. Also, it's good since a Lucario with an SD under it's belt will OHKO nearly everything with or without the rain.
