Hey all, apologies if this is too specific/a bad idea, but I think a Mega Garchomp Webs HO team would be interesting, as MChomp has a speed stat that's only really considered "alright," esp when compared to it's non-mega counterpart. Once the fairies are gone, the thing has the potential to begin racking up momentum, and quickly too.

Garchomp @ Garchompite
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Scale Shot
- Fire Fang

This is the Smogondex set here, although it obv can be changed.

:ss/Altaria-Mega:

CHECKMATE (Altaria-Mega) @ Altarianite
Ability: Pixilate
Happiness: 0
EVs: 52 HP / 252 Atk / 204 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Frustration
- Earthquake
- Roost / Refresh / Fire Blast
I do think that Mega-Altaria is worth looking into atm. It's defensive typing lets it blanket check a lot of the meta, due to them not being able to OHKO it from full. It can be a very threatening wincon able to potentially beat would-be checks with Fire Blast, like Corv and Skarm (they don't do much to it anyways, but corv can potentially pressure stall its Frustrations if you don't go Fire Blast because of this). It's also pretty fun to use in my experience. Clicking DD and steamrolling Offense / Balance. I'd love to see us build around it.

Though it’s technically 1 mon, I would highly prefer the submission of a core: Electrium Z Buzzwole and Tapu Koko. Offensive buzzwole seems like a decent pick in today’s metagame able to break past many of the bulky waters thanks to electrium Z, and has a very crucial speed tier above timid heatran. Tapu koko provides momentum to get opportunities for buzzwole to break and sets the terrain to boost thunder punch. Tapu koko’s set can obviously be changed, this is just a placeholder.

Buzzwole @ Electrium Z
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 8 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def / 244 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Thunder Punch
- Ice Punch
- Roost

Tapu Koko @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Electric Surge
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- U-turn
- Dazzling Gleam
- Roost
- Thunderbolt

Clefable @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 76 HP / 252 SpA / 180 Spe
Modest Nature
- Moonblast
- Thunder
- Knock Off / Stealth Rock / Flamethrower
- Soft-Boiled

Offensive clefable is quite the threat, with strong moonblasts and thunders surprising unassuming gliscor, corviknight and toxapex to name a few. The last slot can go to any of the 4, knock forces pressure on heatran and chans/bliss, rocks can make for an offensive rocker that lures and hits defoggers hard, while flame can be ran to surprise sciz and melm (although constant thunders do similar things). Overall interesting offensive presence that pairs well alongside other pokemon that pressure steels.

Zapdos @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 240 HP / 196 SpD / 72 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Hurricane
- Substitute
- Roost

Voting is up! Ends tomorrow! (in future, please submit sets with your submissions)
:Heracross-Mega:
Heracross-Mega @ Heracronite :Heracronite:
Ability: Moxie / Guts
EVs: 32 HP / 232 Atk / 24 Def / 220 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Rock Blast / Pin Missile / Bullet Seed / Substitute
- Pin Missile / Rock Blast / Bullet Seed / Substitute

I rarely ever see Mega Heracross and perhaps for a good reason but I feel like it has potential to be an incredible wallbreaker. It has amazing coverage in conjunction with Skill Link like Rock Blast, Pin Missile, and Bullet Seed. Rock Blast being able to handle threats like Zapdos, Gliscor, and Landorus-Therian. Pin Missile can nail common physical walls like Tangrowth, Slowbro, and Lati@s switch-ins. Finally, Bullet Seed checking common Water-types like Tapu Fini and again, Slowbro. The given EV spread can be used alongside Substitute to let Substitute survive an Earthquake from Landorus-T while still outspeeding the likes of Timid Magnezone. Moxie can pickup kills before Mega-Evolving to get a free attack boost and Guts can punish Pokemon like Slowbro, Rotom-Wash, and Tapu Fini who commonly use Scald or Will-O-Wisp.
Charizard-Mega-y @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Drought
Modest / Timid / Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Weather Ball
- Scorching Sands
- Solar Beam
- Roost

zardy is a cool up-and-coming breaker in the current meta, and i think its very threatening for a majority of teams, seems cool to build around and explore what team structures this trendy dragon fits on. I cut out evs and nature as i think thats not rlly smthng which zardy has a standard for as far as im concerned, but if thats not allowed then these are the evs / nature i prefer:

EVs: 80 HP / 212 SpA / 216 Spe
Modest Nature

Mega chomp + flame body heatran.. helps vs weavile and rilla so mega chomp can sweep easier

I hosted today's CCAT, and we ended up with a pretty solid team.

click on sprites for the importable!
We built around Mega-Altaria, a solid wincon that provides good defensive utility and sweeping potential. We paired it with SubZone to abuse Ferrothorn to assist Altaria in sweeping, as well as removing Corv and Skarm. Colbur Bro was the tech we used in order to remedy our bad Weavile MU (especially Darkinium-Z). Specially Defensive Ferrothorn helps check Kyurem, and Lele provides speed control that can outspeed Zard-Y and revenge kill it, due to how weak we were to that as well. Thanks to everyone involved in the making of this team!

Ability: Sand Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature

I'm submitting another dragon! M-Chomp can be an extremely scary mon to face, as it takes Garchomp's already good bulk and makes it even better, allowing it to soft check a ton of the meta and make it harder to revenge kill without a Weavile, even with the defense drops from Scale Shot. It can absolutely destroy balance builds after Weavile and other counterplay has been dealt with through other means. I do believe this mon is a threat and is worth looking into atm.
