So the Hornets traded Tyson Chandler to the Thunder for Joe Smith and Chris Wilcox. This was basically a "money trade", with the Hornets are trying to shed some salary. I think this hurts the Hornets because they lack a Center, with Hilton Armstrong being the next best thing... I guess they can go small with West and Smith/Wilcox, but their inside defense will still suffer.

It's a really nice move for the Thunder, and I strongly believe they will be a playoff team in 2-3 years (I predict they will win 30+ games next year, something similar to Portland last year). It will be interesting to see how they perform the last few games of the season.

Jeff Green just isn't a PF imo; they need to package him, expirings and their pick for Amare, unless they land Griffin (and even then, I think they need more experience, not another rook)

They could always put Durant at SG and Green at SF, but they are going with a faster right now. I really don't think they would even consider trading Green, considering he has so much potential and has shown great improvement from last year. I also don't think they would want Amare's much bigger contract.

140 - 100 after Terry is gone. O_O
Yeah, but the only thing to note is that it was against the Clippers, who suck lol.

Once they play a real contender (Celtics in a few days), then we'll see how well things'll be. But I must day, even if it was against the Clippers, it was nice to see up-tempo again. It was actually fun to watch the Suns again.

Steve Nash for mvp, too bad it's too late to get him into the all star game.

Out for season, he's going to have microfracture knee surgery. Hopefully he will make a full recovery and play next season, even though rehab from this surgery usually takes a lot of time.

Kings just made a trade, hetted Salmons and Miller. I'm sad to see Salmons go, he was a bargain. We got Gooden, whom I hate, Nocioni whom I love, and Ike Diogu, who has potential.

yeah basically a salary dump for the kings. the bulls get two good offensive players, miller is near the end of his career but he can be a solid contributor for another couple of years. salmons is the real prize in this deal, he and rose will be a very good backcourt for years. chicago is also likely to deal hinrich/maybe sefolosha to the twolves for their expiring contracts.

Well you gotta be happy about that if you like the Hornets.

Trade deadline is tomorrow. I wonder if Amare will get moved, although I doubt it now.

And Krypto-Nate beats the Spurs. TAKE THAT, SAN ANTONIO!

lol, another 140 point game against the Clippers. This is how the Suns should have been playing all along!

Also, I bet D'Antoni was laughing his ass off when he saw Porter getting fired and Gentry getting the promotion. Seriously, what a waste it was to trade D'Antoni.

You know, I believe that D wins championships, but im not sure why Kerr and Sarver wanted to fix something that wasnt broken. This is fun to watch.

So Jameer Nelson will have season ending surgery, but the Magic got Rafer Alston from the Rockets. I think this is a really good trade for the Magic, which gives them a really nice PG that can pass, shoot and defend.

I don't like it for the Rockets, Alston was a key player there (remember last year playoffs?). Brooks is a good scorer, but is not as good of a distributor (at least not yet). Lowry is a nice pick though, he is a good player who can produce if given the chance (they had it against him in Memphis).
