Ewww cavs lose 2 in a row.
No, there is a point watching the playoffs seeing as a handful of teams have split their season games with top teams. Like Hawks Cavs, Hornets Lakers, blazers celtics etc

LOL I can't believe Cleveland's streak ended against Washington.

And WOW Orlando is just killing Cleveland right now. I think this kind of proves Orlando is quite possibly the best team in the NBA. They came close to beating the Cavaliers in Cleveland and lost only 97-93. They're killing the Cavs right now. They won vs the Celtics 84-82 and they beat the Lakers both times they played them this year.

They're looking to be a real tough team to take down and I wouldn't be surprised if they made it to the Finals. Also Celtics played well vs Hawks tonight 104-92 is a nice margin to win by haha.

GOD FUCKING DAMNIT.
I mean, hell, it's not like we let Kobe get easy shots or layups tonight - we forced him out to take hard jumper after hard jumper. And he makes them all - though the fact that we played Yao for around 38 minutes (which is a lot for him) and gave him 12 shots is even more aggravating.
Though Nightfalcon, I would go ahead and say that if we actually somehow made it to the Finals, I would looooovvvvve to get the Magic, though the Cavs would be fine too.

So there is no point in watching because the good teams are probably going to win? If you want to make an argument for it not being worth watching, at least go with 'the Cavaliers and Lakers are teams that revolve all around one player' or something sensible!
Nah, I'd rather be supporting my preferred team than a bunch I don't care about :P

But yeah, taking your suggestion:

Cavaliers kept alive mainly by LeBron, he's the one who's been forcing them into the playoffs year after year.

Lakers and Kobe, same above scenario until last year, when they made trades. Kobe's still the main lifeline though.

When will Kobe or Lebron be in the next Dunk Competition.
I Have a feeling Kobe can make it but he's to old, so let's go Lebron.

I'm pretty sure LeBron already announced his candidacy for the Dunk Competition at All-Star Weekend this year. I don't think Kobe will, though; he's a little too jaded for that.

Denver is like this year's dark horse. Since they got Billups, they have been playing well! Although I don't see them beating the Lakers or the Spurs in a 7 game series.

Denver is nice and all but how will they deal with the elite big men of the west. I see Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum giving them big problems. Tim Duncan is a load, and if they make the finals KG and Dwight. X_X.

I guess I'm wondering about what other people are thinking about Houston in a general sense while I'm at it. Also, do you guys believe the whole " The Rockets might be better off without T-Mac" thing that some people believe. (For the record, I do think the Rockets are better off without the injured McGrady we've seen throughout this year, but we would be better off if we had him from a couple of years ago.)

Thing about T-Mac is that he requires the ball so much to take the 30-40 shots per game he needs to be productive. That takes away from Yao Ming and the others. I really do believe the Rockets are better without him.

You bring up a good point about Denver, they are definitely going to have problems with other big men - especially Gasol and Bynum.

Anyway I came here to post that the Mavericks are owning the Suns. Final nail in the coffin.

TMac doesn't need "30-40" shots to be effective. One of the best things about TMac is that he a great passer and play-maker for his position. I think the Rockets are better with him healthy, because right now their offense is very inconsistent. It would also help Brooks, who is much better at scoring that facilitating to others.

Also about Denver, their big men are also pretty good. Nene has been playing solid D all season, Martin is still good when healthy, and don't forget about the Birdman! Offensively they are not as good as those other players mentioned, but they shouldn't be underestimated.

Healthy Celtics can win it all. Cavaliers are just LeBron James and Mo Williams nothing else really. Every time you see the ball passed around it seems to just go to one of those two guys. James got 38 points today and Williams got like 20? That's the basis of the team really. If LBJ gets injured they're screwed.

Celtics played decent even though they lost a bit of games they still have played well without Garnett. If Garnett comes back Celtics will go to finals. If he doesn't, Magic will go to finals.

Celtics will beat Cavs in my opinion Paul Pierce does an excellent job on Lebron, and rondo should be able to take on williams, and lastly I see KG giving them problems. The Rockets are scary but Yao needs more touches, its probably because they want to save him for the playoffs. They need instand offense though. Also Bynum to be back at end of week.

Better without T-Mac? Are you guys drunk?
Better without an injured T-Mac? That sounds better.

Rockets right now lack a closer. Yao Ming relies too much on perimeter guys getting him the ball. Plus, with a healthy T-Mac, the Yao Ming-Tracy McGrady Pick N' Roll is killer (unless Yao is playing a smaller, quicker, more atheletic person because for some reason they give him trouble...).

Ron Artest is now trying to do what Tracy McGrady was doing for us in earlier, and he just isn't very good at it. Dribbling out 20 seconds of the shot clock is bad (both for T-Mac and Ron Artest), but when Tracy does it, his dribbling ability (being much more superior to Ron's) makes it less likely for turnover and at least a shot is attempted (sometimes shooting fouls).

Right now, the Rockets are better with this team than the McGrady-Yao teams in the past (except maybe the 2004-2005 season), not because Artest is superior to McGrady, but because of the development of the role players. McGrady - Yao haven't really had a reliable supporting cast with exceptions of maybe past two years (injuries are a bitch).

Couple Thoughts: Yao sucks against the Jazz. Artest > McGrady? Hell no. Rockets making it out of the First Round this year? Fortunate for fans and organization. Unfortunate for Tracy McGrady (who would've been in the 2nd round if it wasn't for Tim Donaghy).

I don't really the Spurs even getting out of the 1st round now. Without Ginobili they are just an average team (forgot the record, but it was around 17-12 or something...). If the playoffs started now, they would have to face the Hornets, and I don't see the Spurs winning there (then again, the Hornets have also had their fair share of injuries...). Jazz, Blazers, Rockets, Mavs... yeah they can't beat any of those IMO =(

No Zero there are literally no games today. It's because the NCAA Championship game is today though and that attracts far far more viewers than just an ordinary NBA game.

Hornets are lookin pretty solid. Chris Paul is quite the player I must say o.o. They look like they could be the tough team to take down outside of the Lakers in the West. Rockets seem too inconsistent. Losing to the Suns then the Lakers right after that. Spurs are screwed due to Ginobili. Jazz have also been fairly inconsistent lately not playing as they used to although they did have an impressive win over NO on the road. Trail Blazers look like quite the contender actually but for some reason I'm seein them as the dark horse right now...

Mavs could be tough to take down but they can't get past the Lakers if their life depended on it. They will lose Round 1 guaranteed.
