Jazz lost to the Thunder. That more than makes up for my irritation from the fact that we came sooo close to beating the Lakers (and then the Spurs did it)

the way i see it, everyone was legit but duncan. in fact, his last 2-3 baskets made just seemed outrageous that anyone would think he planned it. he just kind of drove on bynum, and threw it up and hope he didn't get blocked and just so happen to have good timing. but then again maybe that's what a shot is who knows

and then of course it was obvious the game was over the second ariza got the ball out of that double team. he was in stride and outside the 3 point line, meaning he can't do the only 2 things he knows to do to score, which is an open 3 pointer from the sides or an open dunk. it wasn't a travel but it would've/should've been a no-call resulting in a loss anyways

Hm now the cavs have lost three starters, with Ben Wallace, Z, and West out with that wrist injury he picked up in that Bulls game....

I'm definitely not a spurs fan :( (think Robert Horry's flying shoulder block to Nash that playoff series, and Bowen's insert-foot-under-shooter defense, the Duncan Face etc) , but I give credit to their execution and team D..

Mvp battle today, Bron vs Kobe!
Which is at the moment, 66-75 at the end of the third, the Lakers with the lead over King Crab's squad.

(Taken from basketbawful.com) and, no offense Mr Pizzle.

Duncan face (dunk'-uhn fas) noun. A look of incredulous, googly-eyed mock surprise that is directed at a referee by a player any (and every) time a call does not go that player's way. Note that the Duncan face can be enhanced by raising the hands in an "I didn't do it!" gesture and should be followed up with a steely-eyed glare.

1. The "Dear God, it hurts!" face. Because that foul could have killed me, man!

2. The "Holy crap ref, you cannot be serious!" face. Because, damn it, you totally would have made the right call if you'd seen what I saw.

3. The "I saw that shit was wrong from the bench!" face. Because I saw that shit all the way from over here.

4. The "I'm gonna make a sarcastic face!" face. Because you, Mr. Referee, are an idiot.

5. The "But I'm Tim Duncan's teammate!" face. Because I really am Tim Duncan's teammate! (Starring Manu Ginobili as himself.)

6. The "Get yer filthy hands off me!" face. Because seriously, ET TU, MANU?! [

Sorry for the picture spam guys..

Rofl, that post has to be the best one in this thread.

Anyways, did anyone catch the Suns game? I finally remembered it was on and tuned in at about near the end of the 3rd to see Suns down by what, 30 points?! And they were using all secondary players, not even Nash, Stoudamire, etc? So I was thinking wtf for the rest of that game...perhaps someone can explain what happened in the first 2 quarters?

what happened in the first 2 quarters was, they played a trying boston celtic team.

muttonhead, to tell you the truth, as a Spurs fan we could bring up sooooooooo much crap to make OUR team look bad that it isnt even funny.

Same for 80's/early 90's detroit teams, and anything to do with Karl Malone. Just saying.

I know, like I said, I quite admire the Spur's team philosophy/winning percentages, and I actually like Tim Duncan. Just poking a little fun at them/him. I think there's something to laugh about with every team in the league, in my opinion that's half the fun with the NBA. From hilarious inconsistencies to player idiosyncrasies like the traveling calls, isiah the gm thomas, shaq rapping "Kobe how my ass taste", Drew Gooden's ducktail, etc there's always something funny to enjoy in the NBA.

Eh, I'll accept that, I've been wanting D'Antoni to win, just to show what a mistake it was to let him get away...

It's just too for you that the Knicks traded away any hope of getting to the playoffs this year to try to get LeBron in the summer of 2010.

I applaud the Knicks for planning long-term and hiring D'Antoni, and firing Isiah.
