lol what? Brandon Roy is having an incredible year, even better than when he was an All-Star last year. Not only that, look at where Portland is right now. They are tied for 4th in the West with New Orleans.

Carmelo and Deron would probably be there if it wasn't for their respective injuries. Al Jefferson should be there! I would have also liked to see Calderon in the East, but injuries and a struggling team hurt his chances. I'm glad Granger made it!

Poor Bynum =(

BR is a monster, ill give you that. Last year he was there to promote Portland, now hes there to represent them.

Big AL is a beast, but we do have a few prototypical power forwards(Duncan, Stoudemire post injury, Shaq to some extent) so I guess they just didnt want to fit him.

Granger was a surprise, but the numbers dont lie, the record does. D-Will didnt make it because in comparison to the rest of the West, Utah is lagging behind without Boozman and AK47.

This is different in the East because the difference between the top 4 or so spots and 10 seeds down have such negative records in comparison. Its Easy to let great players in the East in with bad records(Granger and Indiana) because alot of teams arent doing so good. In the West its more of a dog fight, highlighting the snub a bit more.

While im not partial to the Lakers in any way, I do feel for Bynum as Kobe hit him pretty hard. I wouldnt hope a bad injury on any player, Get Well Soon.

Dampier and Hollins both fouled out.

Nelson was only 3 of 9 before that, so I really don't think it made too much of a difference.

This is why i'm not that really worried about the loss of Andrew Bynum. We got to the finals without him last year, and the length of time he'll be missing will be till the regular season ends. He should be back for the playoffs. I know he's now have to be cautious about both his knees now, but if he can pull an Amare type of comeback at just the right time, the Lakers shouldn't have a problem.

It's the long-term effects that kind of scare me.

It does scare me too, as always after an injury like that we will be alot less aggressive, and he could be an inconsistent player. :(

how about them Cleveland Cavaliers? Now, I know a lot of you aren't as smart as me(I just turned 20 years old today, am in college, and am generally invincible), but can you spell, "championship"?

What concerns me about Bynum is that last year they said pretty much the same thing (should be back for playoffs), but never came back. Hopefully he will this time, since I really would like to see the Lakers playing at full power in the playoffs.

Also, I had Bynum in two other fantasy leagues I'm in. sigh...

And poor Nelson =( He was having such a great year... I'm not saying his season is over, but it's hard to comeback from this type injury without surgery. Just ask Wade.

Its hard to see Bynum have the necessary time in any type of games to get into a rhythm before big games role around. Kobe can carry the slack no problem, ask the Knicks. His game is just so damn smooth its not even funny.

If anything, its time to get Odom out of his shell and have him consistently contribute to the team for once. Gasol is back to Center, but plays more mid post taking jumpers and hook shots. Odom most likely is going to PF, but Phil is gonna try and play him a bit like Scottie Pippen and play him with the ball a bit more. Im sure he can get the rebounds and assists, but its the points that he needs to get in.

That 61 was made more special to me because I live in NY(lol it hurts to see it) and Kobe did all of that IN 36 MINUETS. He also hit his FT's to XD...

Jameer Nelson is gonna be a problem, the Magic need him, and need him to be productive. Lewis and Dwight dont have all it takes to win, with out Nelson they are about as good as the Cavs from 2007.

I love it, Tony Parker is Player of the Week for the West, yay achievement no one will remember you got next week! Nice to see him get it though. Crazy game as well.

Minnesota eventually will be a really good team, this month highlights how good they can be, its just not happening now...or next year maybe.

So as if Kobe dropping 61 in Madison... LeBron has to go and have 52 points 10 rebounds and 11 assists... whos next?

And if that isn't enough in the basketball world, Duke and Wake Forest get blown out today in NCAA... my god what a week!

Oh yeah, Bynum won't come back, so expect Kobe to start droppin 35+ every game... 36 / 9 Reb / 5 Assissts today... watch out

my mavs are getting back on track. awesome.

speaking of which, portland played pretty well for being the second youngest team. they'll be fearsome in the next few years.

Iggy doing some jiggly.

Remember when Kobe did the exact same "I got big balls" dance ala Sam Cassell against the Spurs when he hit the big three to give LA the lead (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2xZcm-nRRA) only to fall to a late Roger Mason three? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKMyju6jr0k)

Now Iguodala does it against the Celtics after hitting a huge fallaway for the lead but Ray Allen comes back and busts a three for the win.

Moral of the story: Only Sam "I Am" gets to do the big balls dance of glee.

Damn Suns...why? To Golden State as well as the Bulls?

Ok, Porter is not the answer for a coach, and Kerr has always sucked as far as I'm concerned now. Next thing you know, it's going to be a full-scale "gut-and-rebuild" scenario, which already destroyed one of our franchises (Phoenix Coyotes), must we also do the same to the Suns? They do not need a radical overhaul.

Just watched the Lakers/Celtics game. First game I've actually watched this season, although I do keep up with the scores on a daily basis.

I thought Gasol blew it late in the 4th with these turnovers but the Lakers came back to win it in a great overtime match.

I probably woke up my entire neighborhood I screamed so loud the final shot of the Lakers v Celtics game.

That was a really intense game, had me on the edge of my seat.

Lakers have had the wood on the Celtics this season, that was an amazing match, (especially Kobe's last Q 3 pointers) and I'm glad we won a tough one even without Bynum :D.

I do not know if it is stupid for me to feel this way, but what with the glut of fouls (Rondo benched then Garnett actually fouling out), that the Lakers were playing minus Bynum, and the fact that a blown free throw gave the Lakers the win directly at the end kind of took the excitement of this away for me...

i would love to see a game perfectly officiated. I really would.

the last foul on kg...are u kidding me?

And i am saying that i am not complaining about the no-call for the last play, its the final 3 seconds, let players end it themselves.

In my opinion the celts outplayed the lakers, but the lakers made a bunch of extremely difficult shots in crunch time, which is a sign of a very good team. Hopefully the celts use this as motivation, hopefully.

If Kobe has to drop 30+ a game, there's no way the Lakers will win the title.

It really sucks to be a Knicks fan this week, first Kobe, then LeBron, and next we have the Celtics. Man, we really need players.

Kerr has made it known that everyone but Nash is open for discussion.
See what I mean, a sell out >.>

Shaq has what, another year or two in him at best (though didn't he say he was retiring at the end of next year anyways?), Richardson for Bell was bad imo, Diaw...eh, I still never cared for him (I would have traded him), but yeah...everyone's going now. In all honesty, I think Nash is ironically the one who would probably want to go the most by now, even though they won't deal for him.
