Well General pretty much summed it up.
However, I do believe Stuckey is a great point guard. Him attaining a spot on the All-Star team is almost certain, in due time of course.
In regards to the free agency in 2009, it isn't great, but there are some notables that are worth mentioning. I'm only going to be stating centers and power forwards, since that is virtually the only two spots we will be needing. As much as I like Mcdyes, he is getting old, and needs to come off the bench.
- Carlos Boozer (PF)
- Mehmet Okur (C)
So the line up would look something like:
PG: Rodney Stuckey
SG: Richard Hamilton
SF: Tashaun Prince
PF: Carlos Boozer
C: Mehmet Okur
Pretty good balance, and obviously since we still have the second highest cap space, we obviously will have some cash left over. What ever Joe Dumars has planned, I'm sure it will be great. I haven't seen any slip-ups from him in a long time, his pick of Rodney Stuckey in the draft was just utterly amazing. While to most, the Allen Iverson deal was a wash, Joe used it mainly for rebuilding. The old unit just wasn't going to get it done.
Also, in addition to the expiring contracts of Rasheed and AI, Kwame Brown and Mcdyes' contracts end. We will probably resign Mcdyes and dump Kwame.
