yeah marquette had a tough schedule but if you wanna compare ranked teams they barely did better than colorado and vt beating duke at #1 has to count for something whereas the best team marquette beat was probably uconn. second year in a row that vt has unfairly been left out.
and I realize the big east is good but seriously you don't think there's any bias when they take ELEVEN teams?
Nope, not this year, at least. Name one team in the Big East that shouldn't be there.
Marquette at the 11 is probably the "worst" of the bunch, and even so are in position to potentially upset Xavier in what I feel is probably one of the top 3 games in the first round. Marquette's worst loss is to Seton Hall, a team that went 7-11 in the Big East (for comparison, Seton Hall was 12th in the Big East, and Seton Hall beat St. Johns and utterly destroyed Syracuse, and had a bunch of close games against teams both in and out of conference). Literally every other loss they had is to a team in the big dance, for the record.
Even when I look to see if there's bias in the seeding of the Big East teams, I struggle to see more than maybe Villanova being a 10 more along the lines of a Michigan St. than a 9, but even then that's iffy.
I really don't know what team from the Big East you even consider taking out of the Big Dance.
Add in that the ACC is awful/overrated and you have your reason why VT is out. ps don't lose to Georgia Tech and Virginia (twice).
EDIT @ Lakers: BUT THEY BEAT PENN STATE!!!!!!!111111
(none of their other wins are against teams in the big dance)
