New Year's Resolution

seems like half of smogon (self included) has a resolution of "finally get a girl" and WHY does this not surprise me?

My New Year's Resolution is to stick with my motherfucking goddamn work-out routine. I do it for a month or two then just stop for 6 months and am like "Wait, what?" I also have a New Years Resolution to try to eat more, cuz I've been losing weight and I want to gain weight. Another one is to stop being so clingy. I also need to finish driver's training class, I missed one class like 2 years ago and never went to finish it, cuz I really want my license so I can go to NYC and visit someone special. I also want to focus more on school (college) and less on my love life, studying needs to be a higher priority.

How many was this? Like 5? Wow, I'm gonna be busy.

bring them Fs up to Cs. stop being on Smogon/PO for hours and hours instead of working. work out MORE, damnit get my fat ass offa bed put down them cokes and drop the chips. *sobs*

Keep up my routine I've started this month in order to lose weight. 11 miles over 12 days (11 walks) so far :D, gonna try to up my session distance soon

My resolutions are to get good grades since I'm starting some serious classes and need to look good for internships and stuff; I just need to stop procrastinating and actually read the textbook/do practice assignments. And also to get into good shape. In high school I was in excellent speed shape (5K in 17 flat), and then in 2011 I was in excellent distance shape (marathon). Unfortunately in 2012 I barely ran at all, so here's to changing that in 2013!

Eat less, stop eating junk food, get a gym membership, go to the gym, finally get my license, get a car and to finally get a job, so I can get those other things too. Busy year ahead! Oh, and also continue making every year better than the last ^_^

Never done a resolution before cause I think they're pretty dumb but this year I'm resolving to makes use of my Uni's athletic facilities to work out for the first time in around ever, and less of a resolution but more of a personal goal is simply to work harded in school.

Smogon will cause problems with the latter one.

So part 1 of my New Years Resolution has already materialized.

Next, as soon as it warms up, my plan is to survey every single turn of the Meramec River from Robertsville State Park to Pacific Palisades Conservation Area. Then I'll spend most weekends fishing every turn with my daughter.

I have never made any new years resolutions because, like others in this thread, I think they're pretty stupid. but 2012 was actually not a very bad year for me so I think I might as well make some resolutions for 2013.

  • Keep up with the exercise i've been doing the past few months
  • Make more gainz (cardio gains, and fat loss gains mostly)
  • Keep making the deans list thing at school
  • Finally fucking graduate
  • Talk to real people a little more
  • Make some friends
  • Make a female friend for the first time in my life
  • Get licensed by the National Commission For The Certification Of Crane Operators
  • If I graduate, get my own apartment and move out of my dads house

haha, this is hands down the best one yet.

i need to give mine more thought before i can answer, but hopefully i can post my new year resolution(s) sooner than later

$5 says you won't actually post them

just advice here for those whose resolutions are "to get a girlfriend": you won't. A girlfriend isn't a goal to achieve (see the sex ed thread).

thought of one!

i'm gonna learn to speak French, i've always been annoyed by my monolinguality...there are guys at work who speak four languages and I'm quite humbled by that.

resolutions are for people who don't really want change, why set a date when you can start RIGHT NOW.

anyway yeah become better at working/less drinking/make it the best year ever. sounds about right
