^Electronic Entertainment Expo. Basically the happening of the year in the gaming world... at least it was, a few years ago. Then it went bad, and now they've tried to fix it again, and some people think it's better, and... yeah, that is a mighty source of Internet arguments.

Either way, Nintendo has a habit of releasing information about a ton of games during their E3 conference (or, as they did last year, through a Nintendo Direct). Last year we got a LOT of X/Y information (compared to what we had known previously), such as confirmation of the Fairy type, a lot of Pokémon, and Sky Battles.

Can we please stop with the mindless stupid buffs to already strong Pokemon? We've pretty much exhausted all discussion on Mega evolutions so let's move on... If anyone else posts about Megas I will more than likely delete the post.

How about we discuss what sort of changes 3D/graphic upgrades will bring to the geography of the Hoenn? I personally think things like the Cable car may become a lot larger (let us look out the windows etc) down onto Lavaridge town/mt chimney and be more of a set peice. I'd love to see things like the FRLG "Scene" windows where the camera comes down low and you look "at" what you're about to enter.

You also got Ninetales. While not brilliant by any stretch, it was miles better than Torkoal, Magcargo and Camerupt.
I've used Ninetales. In gen 3, it got NO special attacking moves that weren't fire type (save forthe extremely unreliable hidden power). Additionally, it was very, very late in the game.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure GF is going to fancy up the Cable Car quite a bit; it was always a nice little scenery thing, but now they have better technology and I'm sure they wanna show it off. Other candidates would likely be Cycling Road (ie: BW bridges) and the SS. Lilycove (or whichever one you can take from Lilycove to Slateport) (ie: the Castelia ship).

I'll like to see he volcano on 3D.

I'm unsure if this has been discussed or not. Forgive me if it has, but it's something that has been crossed my mind nonetheless.

In my mind...I'd like for these games to both be a sequel, and yet, be somewhat of a remake at the same time of the R/S Games. Let me explain further in detail what I mean about this...

Basically, what happens to Archie and Maxie after you beat them? You see them in Sootopolis City, and you speak to them and how they've regret their decisions to turn the world into a hell of rain/sun, and then they vanish? It'd be nice to get some sort of explanation/closure as to what happens to them afterwards. Maybe it's just that bit of a plothole that bothers me, and I'm just being nitpicky over it. Maybe Team Aqua/Magma finally disband, but it's never really explained.

It'd also be interesting if there were totally different evil teams involved in the capture of Groudon/Kyogre, but this is unlikely. Perhaps take it a step further and get involved with the capture of Rayquaza as well~

Personally, I'm looking forward to the Abandoned Ship, diving, Meteor Falls, and Mt. Chimney.

Also, for the love of god, please fucking do something with the Scorched Slab, Gamefreak.

Edit: Also, it'd be cool if they could turn Route 116 into a route similar to Route 8 in the Kalos, with the high cliffs and all.

Personally, I found that Flamethrower was all I really needed. But whatever.

I'm personally excited to see how they can make the Underwater look with all the technology we have now. Make it look a lot less bland; have little details like coral reefs and schools of chinchou or whatever swimming by.

To be fair, there was a Sunny Day TM in there in the originals...

Diving (IN 3-D) would be awesome though BUT ONLY IF IT WAS FAST. I hated moving at snail speed.. :(

I bet the rescuing Peeko game is going to be more interesting this time (like the find the Farfetch'd game in HGSS). Mr. Briney's ship will be great too; I wonder if there will be a nice cinematic for the first time you visit Dewford.

Maybe the scorched slab will have a mega stone and/or regigigas. Also I'd like to see more ground types pre gym3. maybe drilbur in granite cave maybe stunfisk somewhere and maybe bunnelby near the first route.

That could be a cool idea. I also hope we will get some Ice type Pokemon since Hoenn only had Glalie and Walrein. Froslass should be in there for obvious reason Glalie and maybe they should throw in Abomasnow, Weavile, Cryogonal and maybe Beartic. They don't have to be those but an early game Ice type would be nice to have for once.

I very highly doubt any more Pokémon will be added to the regional dex aside from a few gen 4 evolutions, such as Froslass and Gallade. While it would be nice to see the selection of 'mon fleshed out a little, something tells me that won't happen until the aftergame.

Anyone think they will add extra legendaries to these games? As they usually add legendaries from other games into the remakes. FRLG had the legendary beasts and HGSS had Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza.

The Scorched Slab could hold something like Heatran or Entei. The mega stone for say Houndoom or a new fire mega would be cool as well. I just hope they do something with it... ugh it bothers me lol.

Route 119 will look beautiful in 3D. The pouring rain over the lush jungle will look amazing. Fortree city will be cool too, I always wanted to live there as a kid because who doesn't want to live in a giant tree house?

Heatran is the most likely candidate. Also it'd be awesome if they let you run on the rope bridges.

HGSS also had the kanto legends and the latis.

I'm guessing this game'll include Dialga, Palkia and Giratina along with all the johto legends, as those are the ones we've gone the longest time without. Maybe the kami trio -- definitely nothing from gens 1 or 6.

There MIGHT be a Mew event.

I'm hoping they expand on the cycling road. In the originals you had the guy who timed you if you were on the Mach Bike so it would be cool if they made it a little more competitive. I'm not really sure how they'd do that seeings how you can't accelerate/decelerate, but they could at least give you a goal with a prize instead of just bragging rights. Cyllage City was begging for a bike race with the track cyclists everwhere...

I'm also wondering if ridable pokemon will make a return from XY, although there aren't really any terrains in Hoenn that would really need them. Really the only place I could think right now is a Rhyhorn area to traverse back up the Jagged Pass but the riding areas in XY are all flat and I imagine that they'll make the Pass really steep so it probably wouldn't work

Someone mentioned earlier in the thread that route 119 is meant to be a rain forest which totally blew my mind. I hope they really do it up, somewhat similar to how they did route 14 in XY, with overhanging trees so it feels really dense (this why I never realised it was a rain forest in RSE because it felt so open, also the trees were all your height). Also now with the improved graphics/3D the ninjas don't have to hide in cardboard boxes painted like trees (although that would still provide some lols), they could instead swing down on vines. I know we won't get any real changes with weather from XY (except of course when the legendaries are awakened, where I hope for at least some crazy thunder storm with Kyogre) but as long as they play with the lighting in that route it would be better. Make it dark and murky with patches of light shining through. Like I said, the swampy route 14 in Kalos was a good start for how I would like this route to be.

We won't be getting rollerskates in these games (I believe) but I hope they make the Acro Bike similar to them, it is the trick bike after all. So I hope they have people scattered around that teach little tricks you can do. They could maybe put a little skate park or something near the cycling road, even if it was just like the one they have on route 5 coming out of Lumiose it would be a nice little aesthetic addition. But if they keep grind rails to go along with the narrow bridges you hop off (name for those?) for the Acro Bike that would be cool imo

Uuuummmm what else...? I'm thinking Magneton/Nosepass should evolve in New Mauville. I know it doesn't really make sense since that place already existed in the originals and they didn't do it then but where else is there going to be some weird magnetic field (or however they evolve) going to be? Obviously Glaceon's Ice Rock will be in the Shoal Cave and Leafeon's in Petalburg Woods.

The psychic trio from gen 4 wouldn't be a bad inclusion of legendary Pokemon either.

Going back to secret bases, if you have a team of 6 level 100 Blissey (they give more experience than Audino) you could level up insanely fast.

It does seem strange that considering the place has only 2 Ice types (Well, 3 if you include Regice) that they have an Elite 4 member who specialises in Ice types... That fight was always by far the easiest in the Hoenn E4. We could throw in a Froslass for sure... It would be nice if they revamped her whole team, but I think that would require some sort of change elsewhere to introduce snow.

I totally forgot about New Mauville. That would fit flavour wise and story wise as you can access that as soon as you obtain Surf, I hope they tweak the levels slightly though (or provide another means of obtaining Magnemite).
