Information Thread | Roster | Replays | Schedule | Standings
There are 8 teams this year. Each team will have have 8 players and at least 4 subs. The players are bought using the 100k credits that managers receive during the auction. Managers and co-managers will be allowed to purchase themselves as players for their team at a fixed price of 13.5k. The managers must inform the hosts (Isaiah, UT, and KaenSoul) of all self purchases before the beginning of the auction. Teams can win their matchup every week by winning 5 of the 8 matches that their players have to play.
The tier lineup this year is as follows:
  1. SV Almost Any Ability
  2. SV Balanced Hackmons
  3. SV Godly Gift
  4. SV Mix and Mega
  5. SV NFE
  6. SV STABmons
  7. SV 2v2 Doubles (Best of 5)
  8. SV Anything Goes
It is recommended to play all games on SmogTours in the most current version of the format corresponding to those listed above. Games can be played on the Pokemon Showdown main server, but run higher risk of interference from server restarts/crashes. The result between players may be decided in a best-of-one or best-of-three at the discretion of both players involved. If there is no agreement, the result will decided in a Bo1 by default.
Winning a round rewards a team with 2 points, drawing 1 point, and losing zero points. In addition, the manner in which the round has been won will also be recorded i.e. the difference between a team's wins and losses in a specific week's round (referred to as "Win Differential").
Playoffs:
Each team will play one another for seven weeks. Based on the final standings, the top 4 teams will enter a Playoffs Round to determine the teams appearing in the finals.

Tiebreaker
In the event of two teams being tied for a spot in the finals based on points and win differential, or a tie in the final round itself, we will have a tiebreaker round(s).

Tiebreaker Rules: One metagame will be picked by each manager, and each manager will also pick one metagame to strike. Additionally, each manager will submit a backup meta to strike in case their choice is the same as the opposing team's pick. The third format will be determined at random by the hosts from the remaining unpicked, unstruck metagames. In the event that the picks and strikes from each manager are the same, the hosts will determine both the second and third format at random based on the remaining options. All three metagames must be unique, so no format can be picked twice.

Substitutes
Substitutes are to be used in the case of extenuating circumstances, whether on the first day of the week, or the last. At the same time, players should be relatively well-aware of who all are available to play in the opponent's camp. If last minute substitutes are being frequently used or abused and the hosts find explanations unsatisfactory, the hosts still reserve the right to veto them. In order to further prevent this being the case teams are only granted a maximum of two substitutes per week. Any substitutions after the second will be vetoed.

Trades
The hosts have decided to not include trades this year due to reasons outlined in this thread - all roster decisions will be final, so draft carefully!

Scheduling
Scheduling should be done on Smogon Profile walls, plain and simple:
  • If there is communication on only one user's behalf, the win will go to them. Feel free to call activity in this thread beforehand
  • If there is a very healthy back and forth regarding potential times and one user is a no-show, a manager may take the opportunity to sub out the no-show competitor; if this is not done, the user that showed up responsibly will be awarded the win.
TL;DR: Post on your opponent's Smogon wall, schedule your matches, and be reliable. If you can't play for any reason, let your manager know so they can sub you out ASAP.
Use these posts as a place to initiate discussion about bo1 or bo3 as well (or bo5 vs bo7 for 2v2)!

Sportsmanship
Exhibitions of unsportsmanlike conduct with regards to the Other Metagame Premier League will be met with an infraction at the discretion of the OMPL host/OM mods. This is unlikely to include interactions within a team's private chat unless there is reason found to make an exception. This rule is meant to protect other users from being publicly flamed/bashed/provoked by another competitor for the duration of and following the tournament.
All players must complete their matches by the given deadline. Any incomplete matches by that time will be subject to an activity decision (MAKE SURE YOU POST ON YOUR OPPONENT'S WALL); otherwise, it will be a deadgame. All matches should ideally be done on your most notable alt (the one you registered for OMPL with) to avoid confusion and all match replays must be saved and posted in this thread.

Substitutions & Lineups
Managers, if you wish to make any substitutions, you must post here tagging both the player you're subbing out, the player you're subbing in, the manager and assistant manager of the opposing team, the substitute's opponent, and all of the hosts (Isaiah, UT, KaenSoul). This is to assure that everyone is in-the-loop and that the OP is updated accordingly to reflect the new match-up.
Managers, when you send in lineups, please send it in with the tier and Smogon username of each player fully written out for ease of transcription, following these guidelines exactly.

OMPL BH REVIEW: WEEK 6
I will be in Ireland from this Thursday to next, so while I should be able to get my BH game in, don't expect a Week 7 review until I get back. nevermind our car packed in lol

pdt vs quojova - :dondozo::blissey::arceus::mewtwo::hoopa-unbound::zamazenta-crowned: vs :enamorus::iron moth::chansey::dialga-origin::arceus::iron bundle:

Both teams here have pretty unorthodox structures, with a third Iron Moth and a first (I believe) Mewtwo.

Turn 1 starts with a very odd Psychic Surge Blissey, likely leading to Expanding Force users in the back on pdt's side; this gets offset by Hadron Engine Iron Bundle. Arceus-Ghost manages to poison Blissey before it switches out of Mewtwo, with the inbound Dialga-O taking a large chunk from MGLO Collision Course. Bundle expends Tera Electric to KO the Zamazenta-C (which stays in for no good reason), and Hoopa-U gets in, using Fillet Away on the turn Dialga-O Nuzzles it. Sitrus Berry is a good tell for Unburden, but due to paralysis, the Imposter matchup is now a Speed tie, which pdt wins with Leech Life, securing the game.

The filet o' fish claims another victim, with Psychic Surge support intended to give Hoopa-U a strong Psychic STAB while shielding it from the various Extreme Speed users that always force it out. Unburden is a neat tech that managed to punish quojova's early Tera usage, as the lack of nuclear damage options means that surprise Tera on walls like Arceus (as well as just Ice Scales Arceus-Fairy in general) is heavily damning for Hoopa-U.

XxLazzerpenguinxX vs Onyx Onix 7 - :flutter mane::arceus::ting-lu::zamazenta-crowned::eternatus::chansey: vs :zacian::arceus::eternatus::giratina::dialga::iron valiant:

An unsusual bring in Dialga, which is almost always forgone for Dialga-O. This likely means it's running some physical attacking set.

Aurora Veil Zacian is revealed early from Onyx's side, likely meaning some setup demon is in the back. Usage of the screens only comes a few turns later after Dialga's set is scouted as Adaptability, when Eternatus gets in to click SimplePlot. Dragon Judgment KOes Ting-Lu, but after attacking into Arceus-Fairy, Eternatus Final Gambits into Imposter, dealing a heavy chunk of HP; Arceus-Fairy gets Tricked a Choice Scarf immediately after. Zacian manages to get in against Imposter Giratina and sets up another Aurora Veil, and then Zamazenta-C stares down an Arceus-Poison. The interaction reveals that Zamazenta-C is Fur Coat with Cotton Press, and that Arceus-Poison is Simple Power Trip with Imprison, ending up with neither Pokemon beating the other. PrankBond Iron Valiant manages to KO Arceus-Fairy, leaving Eternatus in on Zacian again, which sets up Aurora Veil at the cost of being poisoned. Flare Boost Flutter Mane finally switches in, but thanks to Aurora Veil, it loses to Dialga even with Tera Steel. Eternatus then switches in and grabs 2 Torch Songs before staring down Arceus-Poison under Aurora Veil, and because the Zamazenta-C's healthy, the game basically comes down to who can get the crit; in the end, Onyx does.

CottonPress Zamazenta-C was likely brought solely based on the expectation of Power Trip shenanigans, which ended up being a good bring. Onyx is showing that Imprison setup can still be potent even without the backbone of FullPass, if restricted to a very limited pool of users thanks to the newfound vulnerability to status and phazing.

Frozoid vs cityscapes - :koraidon::arceus::zamazenta-crowned::mewtwo::zacian::flutter mane: vs :giratina::arceus::magearna::kyogre::rayquaza::chansey:

Both teams have potential ways of beating the other at preview, as there's no apparent walls to either Koraidon or Rayquaza.

Fur Coat Mewtwo on Frozoid's side manages to scout Fake Out Rayquaza, with Misty Surge Kyogre being subsequently revealed as a way to limit Koraidon. Tidy Up Zacian switches in, but is unable to trap and remove Magearna thanks to Covert Cloak, instead falling to Gigaton Hammer. Koraidon gets in, but Misty Surge means the best it can do is pivot into Zamazenta-C, which Tricks Giratina a Choice Scarf. SimplePlot Arceus-Fighting finds a window to set up against Mewtwo, expending Tera Psychic so strengthen Esper Wing, but Mewtwo's Tera Dark picks it off thanks to Simple also meaning Lumina Crash gives -4 Special Defense. After a lot of switching, Mewtwo burns Giratina with Infernal Parade, and after some more, Arceus-Ghost gets in and starts clicking Calm Mind, but promptly switches out of Salt Cure Magearna. Koraidon is prevented from attacking by the Scarf Sap Giratina, and then Flutter Mane gets in, revealing Destiny Bond but critting to KO Giratina. Koraidon loses the Imposter Speed-tie and faints, and then Magearna proceeds to be a huge greivance to Mewtwo and Arceus thanks to Covert Cloak, successfully putting Arceus-Ghost in range of Rayquaza. From this point, there's not any way to stop Frozoid's team from falling into Rayquaza range, especially given that Magearna is able to brute-force Mewtwo's HP down with Ruination until Mewtwo can't heal any more with Strength Sap.

Some very odd brings from both sides. Fake Out has been largely unexplored thanks to Rayquaza's desire for recovery and multiple coverage options, but here, it played an important role in racking up chip. Covert Cloak Ice Scales Magearna also put in a lot of work, especially given the lack of Knock Off.

Chessking345 vs augustakira - :arceus::zacian-crowned::dialga-origin::dondozo::koraidon::chansey: vs :palkia-origin::flutter mane::arceus::zacian::ting-lu::calyrex-ice:

Both players gentlemanned No Tera for this game, which is a different meta entirely, as many offensive threats need significantly more support, and certain strategies (like Toxic Calm Mind Arceus) simply fail. Palkia-O is a feared threat but is rarely brought thanks to the difficulty of Imposter-proofing it.

Early turns reveal that Chessking is using Zacian @ Rusted Sword and that Akira's Arceus-Fire is a Fur Coat support set. Palkia-O gets in early and launches a Steam Eruption into Dialga-O; from the damage here, the only possible option is Timid Lustrous Globe into non-Specially Defensive Dialga-O. Chessking's Arceus-Fire is revealed to be offensive, which Akira can shut down with their own. Palkia-O eventually gets back in and takes a huge chunk off of Dialga-O, before coming in again after some pivoting to heavily dent Arceus-Fire. Mold Breaker Koraidon attempts to revenge kill but is cut off by Flutter Mane predicting Glaive Rush, which KOes Zacian-C on a predicted Strength Sap. Akira manages to grab a Spike on Zacian, but it ends up not mattering, as Flutter Mane wins the Speed tie against Koraidon, removing Chessking's wincons.

Chessking's team seemingly lacking a special wall allowed Palkia-O to cause an absurd amount of damage, with Flutter Mane as a cleanup option. Calyrex-I was Choice Band but never needed to click an attack, as going for the special wincons was simply easier than predicting around Dondozo. Chessking's only real win condition, Koraidon, wasn't brought in nearly enough to threaten Akira's defensive core (especially given it still needs enough windows to get the predictions right and fall back if it doesn't).

GG Week 6 Review: Bottleneck
Screenshot_2023-07-03-16-58-22-97_40deb401b9ffe8e1df2f1cc5ba480b12.jpgvsScreenshot_2023-07-03-16-58-43-48_40deb401b9ffe8e1df2f1cc5ba480b12.jpg
jrdn once again came with a pretty wack build featuring Tsareena (which is completely useless against Gholdengo) and Quagsire. Tyranitar is also an uncommon pick, but jrdn's team feels like it has too many holes in general. Koraidon, Fighting-types in general, Hoopa with Fighting move, even special Arceus with Calm Mind + Taunt or Torn-T freely pivoting and most importantly hazard stack + Gholdengo which was exactly what Sylvi brought. Slowking is ok but Atk Walking Wake? My best guess is a mixed set or Dragon Dance with dual STAB and Aqua Jet. Sylvi meanwhile brought a pretty solid bulky offense team though a bit tough against Koraidon. Stacking Spikes freely with Hamurott and keeping it with Gholdengo while all of Rilla, Hawlucha and Hoopa might just break on their own provided they have the right moves, so seems like a big preview advantage.
Tsareena vs Rilla lead was pretty surprising but Tsareena had some Speed investment and outsped Rilla. jrdn was forced to go Zacian-C which was then immediately forced out by Gholdengo so it would already be useless. Ghold revealed Reflect which was pretty unique and indicated a more offensive team than first thought. jrdn went Quag on it which seemed weird but not like he had any other safe switch-in. All it did however was letting Hamurott get all the Spikes and Tsareena couldn't do anything. Walking Wake then revealed Flamethrower but Ghold still got dual screens back up. Flamethrower also did 11% to Rilla and after Hawlucha came in jrdn had no counterplay at all as Quag's only attack was EQ and Hawlucha got Taunt, set up and 6-0 easily. Again questionable build from jrdn, though Sylvi brought a pretty cool squad despite Hoopa and Zacian never getting a chance to show their sets and executed the game plan well.

fraise brought a bulky build with Caly-I god while ponchlake spiced things up with a neat looking HO. Baxcalibur and Polteageist seemed like great candidates to sweep while Cloyster and Tusk should struggle a bit unless Rotom-W could be weakened. Mewtwo could do some damage based on set but would be best if it had Shadow Ball.
ponch actually tried to counterlead with Baxcalibur but fraise lead with Caly-I and got a free Sub early. Spirit Break couldn't break Sub in a hit and thus Grimm traded its life and screen turns to let Cloyster in. However ponch misplayed and greeded for a Shell Smash, essentially giving a mon just to break Sub but also give back some HP. Polteageist finished it off and then faced Clodsire. Clodsire got Toxic and dropped to it so Skeledirge could stall it out. Though Fraise should probably have kept clicking Slack Off to live an EQ from Bax. Bax switched out of Clod which I wasn't so sure why but Mewtwo seemed to be Scarf and weakened both Clod and Washtom. Then Fraise made a beautiful setup by perfectly stalling Great Tusk to make it in range of the surprise Flame Charge Harcanine, only for it to miss Head Smash. Pretty sad for Fraise and all the questionable plays from ponch ended up getting rewarded.

Meta brought offense with 3 pivots while Lily brought some modified version of her last team, though I wonder does she need to use Hamurott with Koraidon all the time? It just feels wrong to me. There was no Ground resist though so Great Tusk might go crazy, though if Lily's Tusk was defensive it should help. Hoopa looked pretty threatening as well, but Zacian should be a non-factor against Skeledirge. On Lily's side, Koraidon should be the main cannon with Hamurott pressuring Meta's team. Given a free switch Harcanine could also click assuming no Head Smash miss.
Meta started with a safe Slowking lead against Koraidon and got Future Sight but then couldn't Chilly out. He still got a favorable position though with Great Tusk, which is offensive with Atk boost in sun, and forced Hatt to take both Headlong Rush and Future Sight. He managed to maintain the momentum and even almost got Tusk with Torn-T crit Bleakwind Storm at the cost of not clearing Rock. He then U-turn out and left Tusk alive which was kinda bad for him as it forced his Tusk to lose Knock, allowing Lily's Tusk to get another big hit on Koraidon. Lily made a good prediction, got a crit on Slowking and set Harcanine in position to force a Torn-T sac. Then as Tusk came in, Lily just sac Tusk and Harcanine got another KO on Slowking, which was where the crit came into play. Hoopa came in, got a hit but then forced out by Scarf Hamurott. Boots Meowscarada sadly couldn't finish Koraidon and after some switches Skeledirge pushed Hoopa to hazard range and Lily trying to sac Hatterene ended up even better since it forced a double KO. After that it was just a clean. Overall a solid game from both sides but Lily getting a crit and going for aggressive predictions tilted the game in her favor.

Psyspam vs Arceus-Ground HO. bj had 2 dedicated leads in Klefki and Glimmora against Hatterene could be tough if Glimmora had no Sludge Wave. Sneasler would need Arceus weakened first before being able to sweep. Polteageist could put in work as well but would need hazard to be cleared, otherwise no Sash would be a little rough. Attack Greninja is pretty interesting as well, likely Battle Bond or Torrent. if hazard is up, Dragon Dance Groundceus could just take over. Cloyster also could if Sneasler was dead or forced out as well.
Since Psyspam is more or less forced to lead with Indeedee, bj lead with Greninja to counteract and was able to get an SD. With its Sash it forced out both pivot items from Hatt and Tusk while forcing a Hatt sac early. I would guess Glimmora was Sash but even then the spin for Tusk was really bad, the Smash before was weird as well but I guess Instruct thought Spin would kill from that range. Because of that, Groundceus got a relatively free Dragon Dance, almost got all and Cloyster finished the job. This game is a showcase of how risky Psyspam is even after Miraidon was banned. Having to lead with Indeedee can be taken advantage of pretty hard with setup and having Eject Button Hatt may not be enough + you have to hope your abuser can actually take advantage of the mon attacking + risky play sometimes to prevent entry hazards from breaking Sash (which is totally useless against Hamurott or Tinkaton to a lesser extent).

atha vs hariyana grande
1688561742399.png

From preview both bring seem to bring fairly offensively flavoured balance teams with potential to break each other down quickly. Atha brings Chi-Yu, Volcanion and Gapdos who are all fairly powerful breakers in their own right. Hariyana lacks a real resist to switch into Chi-Yu given Regen seems to be dedicated to Hoodra, Gapdos is Gapdos and Volcanion can be threatening even against GoodraH if its MGLO. On Hariyana's side, Cinderace can potentially break through but it's hard and probably lacks the time to break through, Thundurus, which is SFLO, also poses significant threat depending on the Garchomp set given how slow Atha's team appears to be and Regieleki can also potentially clean once Treads/Garchomp are weakened enough and also depending on sets.

Skipping anymore speculation and into the first move. Iron Treads leads into a Cinderace which is most likely MGLO. Tread stays in, indicating WBB or a just a good bluff/predict on a U-turn and manages to Knock and chip Corv for potentially Gapdos. Garchomp comes in and reveals Vessel of Ruin which is very annoying for hariyana given their main breaker is Thundy so hariyana will need to play their way to wear down Garchomp or sacrifice Regieleki potentially if atha allows. Hariyana goes for an EQ to try to wear down atha's Chomp but atha reveals EE Iron Treads which is annoying for hariyana's Chomp who is completely stuffed. Some more shuffling gets atha's Garchomp in to set up on Corv and set rocks. Hariyana comes in and trades a very large of his own Chomp's HP due to a crit EQ in exchange for a DTail on atha's chomp, something that proves very fatal for atha later on, also revealing an odd TDebris on hariyana's Chomp. Corv comes in but goes for a U-turn instead of removing TSpikes, with Volcanion coming in to take the DTail, revealing most likely some bulk investment as well as HDB. Eventually Gapdos gets dragged in and forces Chomp out, pivoting to Volcanion. hariyana risks the Corv, taking a Wisp in exchange for pivot in for Thundy to be scary. Thundurus click Psychic on the Chomp switch-in, leaving it far too low to check it anymore. Chi-Yu comes in on a predicted Psychic, revealing DesoLand, and hariyana switches out to Goodra-H, scouting Scarf. It reveals Specs instead, doing a significant amount to Goodra-H with Overheat. Both double out to Regieleki and Volcanion respectively, Regieleki revealing HDB. Atha predicts Regieleki to spin, with Regieleki barely hanging on at 1% due to epic EVs. Cinderace comes in on the Volcanion, totally predicting Will-O-Wisp and not a double and eventually after some shuffling Garchomp is sacrificed after Volc reveals BPress to beat Goodra-H. Thundy capitalises on the opportunity and reveals Focus Blast, demolishing through Iron Treads and Chi-Yu with atha forfeiting as Thundy just wins.

Few misplays that led to atha's quick demise at the hand of Thundy as well as some odd teambuilding decisions. VoR Garchomp was an annoying wall to Thundy that does lack reliable recovery but atha could've tried relied on winning faster given Thundy-T finds it hard to come in with a lack of boots. However letting Chomp get DTail'd instead of just going into like Treads put it far too low too quickly which hariyana capitalised on to win. Atha was also forced into Chomp being his last resort given how slow the team was. The Gapdos might've been Scarfed but was not SoR which is a bit of a confusing decision (might've been Adapt/TC but I don't see any reason why it would be?).

1688573548709.png
The Number Man vs Osake
1688573684282.png

Probably the most hype game out of all given both are strong AAA players with nearly undefeated records leading into this match. From preview both seem to bring somewhat similar balanced teams, both using Corv + Treads + Garchomp although with unknown sets. Not much you can tell from preview, with some odd picks in most likely DesoLand Moltres and unknown Diancie showing up and Eleki possibly annoying as Treads/Garchomp aren't great answer, but just getting straight into the game...

First turn they lead off with an unknown Roaring Moon into an unknown Iron Treads. Roaring Moon pivots out a bit of boring shuffling occurs with both Corviknights getting chipped and Knocked as well as Osake revealing Body Press on their Corviknight until an unknown Ceruledge trades a somewhat risky Wisp onto Garchomp, which reveals Mold Breaker, in exchange for a large chunk of its HP. Garchomp goes for SD but STail just laughs at it. Or should I say, screams at it, revealing Pixilate Boomburst as Iron Treads comes in, taking decent chip. Some more pivoting occurs, with Garchomp taking a Wisp from revealed DesoLand Moltres. Some more shuffling goes around until Iron Treads gets a Knock Off on the Diancie, revealing RegenVest, trading some HP as Diancie reveals Body Press. Even more shuffling leads to Iron Treads eventually setting rocks up but TNM's Garchomp reveals Flamethrower, leaving Osake's Iron Treads too low to answer Garchomp anymore. Eventually TNM loses Corviknight to Moltres, most likely predicting a U-turn, with Corviknight not too useful with the lack of physical breakers on Osake's team (and Chomp being burned). Roaring Moon comes in deals a decent bit to Moltres, most likely CB, however simply gets Burned in the process. Not looking great as TNM is lacking any way to break through and is getting slowly worn down. I would commentate the rest but I am super tired and it's really just a bunch of shuffling as TNM gets worn down by Diancie, Moltres burns and eventually Regieleki comes in to clean.

Not too much to say. Not really too much TNM probably could've done to win it. The best case probably would've been Roaring Moon coming and not getting Burned in which case with Treads support it might've broken through Corv? Issue is Regen Diancie, maybe if Treads actually EQ'd on Diancie but overall still played without much mistake. Osake managed to play well without any real mistakes and convert his advantage into a slow and grinding win and the French continue to stop TNM's hegemony at the top of the AAA slot.

1688575279026.png
MZ vs Ivar57
1688575300007.png

MZ apparently actually has AAA support now and has managed to revitalise with some wins recently so lets see if MZ can keep up the revenge arc or fall flat. From preview, MZ appears to use what looks like a pre-home team almost. Running Corv Moth Scream Tail with a solid Quaq + Chien Pao offensive combo + a Ceruledge in there good measure as well. Ivar also brings a fairly balanced team. Lando is the only thing that sticks out a bit, most likely being WBB or Fluffy while Gapdos is always a threat but MZ has more than enough outs.

Diving into the game, both lead off with Scream Tail. Scouting potential PixiBurst, Ivar goes into Corv while MZ reveals and sets rocks. Ceruledge comes in on the Defog to take advantage and manages to Wisp the Rotom-Wash which reveals Primordial Sea. Washtom goes for Hydro Pump, with Chomp coming in to absorb, with the damage most likely revealing RegenVest. Some shuffling occurs before eventually Chien-Pao comes in on the Lando. With Corv revealing non-Intimidate, Chien-Pao looked very threatening, however it appears MZ isn't Sword of Ruin which is unfortunate. More shuffling goes around, with Corv getting paralysed and rocks are set on both sides. Eventually however after accruing decent chip with rocks, Chien-Pao comes in to threaten the Corv, getting an unlucky Crunch defense drop. However Ivar reveals Scream Tail to be Regen and it just comes in on a non-boosted Crunch to wall. Ceruledge comes in on Scream Tail but goes for Wisp which is a bit odd, with Rotom-Wash coming in again and Tricking Garchomp a Choice Scarf potentially to let Washtom maybe break through eventually although does mean Ivar has nothing to force out Pao. Ceruledge comes in again after some shuffling and Lando-I comes in, revealing non-WBB as it takes a Wisp and most likely Fluffy although is aggressively pivoted in so might not. More shuffling goes around until Ceruledge gets back into position and is unfortunately paralysed as a low Washtom comes in. Scream Tail reveals Trick Choice Scarf onto the Ceruledge, taking a burn in the process but Ivar manages to get Washtom back up. More shuffling goes around but Quaq eventually manages to find itself in on a Corv taking a Wishpass to remove rocks. Eventually Ivar goes for a U-turn with Moth on a predicted double by Garchomp but instead dies to a Garchomp EQ, opening up Quaq to be threatening. Zapdos-Galar however finally manages to find itself in and forces Corv low with Scream Tail coming in on a TKick, leaving it vulnerable to Brave Bird. Ivar U-turns on the Scream Tail instead predicting Corv to come in again but instead MZ gets a wish off. Corv comes in to Defog but Chien-Pao aggressively comes in and reveals Defiant. At +2, nothing stops the Chien-Pao as Ivar's STail is Regen and Ivar is forced to forfeit.

Chien-Pao was an annoying mon for Ivar who played a bit too loose with his VA Corv idea. SoR would've straight up won here but Defiant still managed to do the trick to break the stalemate. Tricking away both Scarfs to have nothing for Chien-Pao later wasn't great either but Chien-Pao would've still forced a sack and probably broken through anyway once it came in a Defog to proc Defiant. Unaware STail continues to flex its superiority. Only way to win would've been playing very aggressively with Gapdos in but ultimately probably wouldn't have won before the Pao did given the amount of outs MZ had, piloting the teams edge well to convert to a win and continuing their rampage.

1688579409855.png
placuszek vs shiloh 1688579457784.png
From preview placuszek appears to bring a very generic balanced team with some decent threats in presumably MGLO Hisuian Arcanine and CB Pao which placuszek champions, although uses a non-Corv most likely Fluffy Quaquaval structure which is a bit odd. Shiloh on the other hand brings an uncharacteristic stall team but is most likely an effort by Career Ended to shake it up given the mainly offense centric teams they've brung before. Placuszek frankly looks a bit doomed with not too much of a way to break through as their main breakers get stuffed by Dozo/Chomp/Corv but I suppose lets see within the game.

Beginning the game, placuszek leads with Meloetta while shiloh leads off with Garchomp. As expected with a stall matchup, there's a ton of shuffling. After a bit Meloetta is paralysed by the Blissey and Hisuian Arcanine is pivoted into the Blissey. It doesn't amount to much as Garchomp eats and manages to setup Spikes, revealing Liquidation to chunk Zapdos. A war begins as Fluffy Quaq tries to keep off Spikes but Garchomp reveals SD and forces out Quaq, with STail coming in. Frankly uh, there's not really not much else to talk about past this. Shiloh just sits there and continously shuffles around. Garchomp reveals not to be Regen but instead Dozo is so not much better for the H-Arc and Scream Tail stalls some of H-Arcs few Head Smash PP out. Chien-Pao comes in at times but Corv reveals Intimidate and with a Regen Dozo it's not very likely to break through. Glim comes in to set rocks for a while and manages to poison Quaq. H-Arc manages to eventually get Chomp somewhat low but Dozo is still there. A ton of shuffling later leads to Glim trading a large chunk of its HP for a poison onto Zapdos. H-Arc gets PP stalled by WishTect Scream Tail and yeah. Placuszek loses to a slow and painful death as he can't really break through at all.

Solgaleo's AAA slot continues to flounder unfortunately, which is unsurprising given their main AAA support is someone more known in the MnM community and the AAA pool is very competitive. Shiloh manages to pick up another nice win, piloting well to cruise a comfortable victory from preview with a well constructed stall presumably from career, at least in this case.

AAA Predicts Week 7

MZ
vs pichus
Not much explaining I need to do. Solgaleo's AAA slot isn't doing well at all while MZ is on a rampage right now. But of course, anything can happen in a Bo1....

SpaceSpeakers vs The Number Man
I don't think SpaceSpeakers is French so I think TNM wins. On the serious side however, TNM is simply a top AAA player right now and their usual pilot isn't around which isn't a great sign. SpaceSpeakers managed to do half alright during the AAA Money Tourney but that was a while ago now. Perhaps Career can cook to pull through but the safe bet here is TNM.

Atha vs Osake
The French Civil War. While both players are very good AAA players both as chefs in the kitchen and pilots, one has already been eliminated from the possibility of playoffs sooo I'll put my bet on Osake who has an actual stake.
