OU CCAT - Mark III (Laddering/Discussing - See Post #547)

Right now, we're looking out for Rain/Sun- both of which Genesect do, just eh against. It does well, but it really can't take a hit, and what we're looking for right now is a pokemon that can tank and hit and reply back hard in both opposing weathers, something Genesect can not do. It's not just about revenging- finding proper momentum without trashing half our team is what we want right now. Genesect really only adds to our weakness of Keldeo, Venasaur, and most other Sun sweepers.

As for my Dragonite set, my aim was for it to be a tank- not necessarily a sweeper, and for it to rely on Extremespeed to hit faster foes. If you guys think more speed is needed, I could fix it, but it'll have to be exchanged for a lot of bulk, which I don't think is a good idea to remove or else it won't be able to counter Rain as well as it does now. Roost allows it to recover, and recycle Multiscale. Because of its defenses, I did not see a need for extra speed, so I put the rest into power.

What do you guys think of Scarfed Thundurus-therian. I have been using it on my test team recently and it works perfectly. In my opinion Scarfed Thundurus will help us cope with the rain teams easily, plus we can now revenge kill pretty nicely as thundurus has the nice raw power we need. I deided to put hp fire as we dont have anything to hit scizor, ferrothorn or genesect with

Thundurus-Therian (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Volt-switch
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Please tell me what do you think about this.

Edit. I put volt switch instead of Thunder by the suggestion of Remedy.

Except it doesn't really "counter rain". Most rain teams have at least 1 steel time, sometimes two, the common ones being Jirachi, Ferrothorn and Genesect. Your Dragonite does nothing towards them, and in the case of Ferrothorn, is utter Spike fodder. Its not an amazing revenge killer, considering it needs a dragon dance to hit things hard with ES, and really all its good for (atm) is taking water and fire attacks, which most dragons can do. Heck, if you wanted the whole "take water attacks and revenge kill shit with ES" route, id prolly go CB, which has the bonus of having a sub passed to it, letting it crush something with Outrage, while limiting Genesects chances to revenge it.

I believe Thunder + Thunderbolt is just redudant, let's just change Thunder for Volt-Switch because it's probably the best move on Thundurus-T scarf.

Sorry for the delay guys, it's time to get into voting!

Here are the submissions:
exotic's Sash Alakazam
LucaroarkZ's Scarf Latios
alexwolf's LO Celebi
Ganj4lf's Scarf Latias
The Great Mighty Doom's LO Latias
Remedy's Scarf Salamence
ClubbingSealCub's SubRoost Kyurem
electrolyte's DDnite
Anikrahman1995's LO Kyurem
Phazon00's Scarf Landorus-I
Masamune's Altaria
emirinho's Scarf Thundurus-T

While voting, please pick 2 pokemon, in whatever order, but make sure you like them and think they are the best possible candidates for our team. To do this, read the descriptions for each pokemon, which are linked in their names. Good luck! I'll hopefully close this by Friday night or over the weekend. Happy voting!

TGMD's LO Latias
ganj4lF's Scarf Latias

Sorry for the late reply, but I agree roughly on every objection TGMD made to my set; however, for the sake of variety I tend to nominate things that, even suboptimal, can be interesting somewhat. I have no problem not voting them, since your set is clearly better for what we need it to do ;)

EDIT: damn it, I have to pick two of em. Looks like I can't avoid voting for myself...

SubRoost Kyurem
LO Kyurem

EDIT: Now that Kyu-B has been released, would switching the Kyurem forme count as a "minor fix" after the team selection process? Just wondering.

TGMD's LO Latias
ganj4lF's Scarf Latias
Masamun's Altaria
- Because its fucking Altaria :3

Well, there's no way to escape this I guess..
Whatever I do want to let the door open as long as possible, because they are other good ideas. However I must admit the last pick and the one that is incoming put the team in the defensive train to "check" stuff, and it's not to my liking.

So
My Salamence
Electrolye's Dagonite

Anikrahman1995's LO Kyurem
Remedy's Scarf Salamence
I dont really like latias. It makes out team weak to Genesect. Poor coverage will not cut it. At least Kyurem can survive one LO +1 Bug Buzz and cripple the bug. I am talking about RP Genesect here.
My vote doesnt really matter. Everybody has already started voting for Latias. Since when has Scarf Latias existed? It was rejected in QC.
