Sylveon does not require "max Amie stats". Had level 3 affection and it still evolved. A friend of mine also managed to make it evolve with level 2 affection. It seems the requirement may actually be just leveling up with a fairy-type move.

If anyone with the game wants to try and confirm this, feel free to do so.

It's not. I received an Eevee from Wonder Trade before the first gym and it already had Baby-Doll Eyes and it did not evolve upon level up. However, after I got lv2 affection in Pokemon-amie, after a level up it evolved to Sylveon.

Chespin was vastly more agreeable for me in finding out its base stats.
HP: 56 (Evidence 20 HP on 5 with no EVs went to 24 HP on 7 with no EVs. Once EVs applied, showed either at most 56. A 22 HP on 5(meaning at least 55) was actually one better, at 27 on 7)
ATK: 60-61...though I am fairly certain it is 61. (Evidence 11 strength bases showed some indication that 61 was max, 12 bases going to 14 on 6 indicated 60 min.) I am almost positive this is 61. This actually makes a lot of sense since I just realized both Froakie and Fennekin's SPATK were 61 base. They wanted all the first stages to have equivalent offensive capabilities. A noble task.
DEF: 65-66 (Every 11 defense on 5 was 14 by 7, indicating a min of 65. Unfortunately, I was never able to rule out 66. That being said, I only saw 2 13 defense stats on 5, out of a host of trials. If it was 66, I should see 1/8) I am leaning heavily towards 65.
SPATK: 45-46 (Was never able to rule 46 out, but this stat could start as 11, and I find that very likely to be 45.)
SPDEF: 42 (It took me so many trials because SPDEF is the one stat out of all the pokemon that didn't allow you to make any statements on level 6 alone. 9 never stayed 9 on level 6 and 10 never went to 12. Finally, I started leveling to 7 and seeing it on both ends, meaning it HAD to be 42)
SPEED: 38-39 (First stat that was base 8 without personality. I was able to rule out 35-37 by the 10 stats on level 5 through EV training. Never ruled out 38, but I only saw 8 base twice, much like defense.)
So my expected stat spread is 56/61/65/45/42/39 for a total of 308.
With what they did with the attacking prowess of each starter being equal, I am not surprised that Froakie ended up with a slightly higher total and Fennekin the lowest. Fennekin will likely end up making that up through evolution when the starters diverge a bit. Chespin in the middle also makes sense, as I think his attack as Chesnaught is slightly higher than Greninja's special attack.
Anyway, to sum up what I have done, this is what I will claim as the base stats:
Froakie - 40/56/40/61/43/70
Fennekin - 40/45/40/61/60/60
Chespin - 56/61/65/45/42/39

Some more stats of Mega Evolutionss from Wersterlobe's channel that aren't in the OP yet. I included the Gardevoir video as well since the stats in the OP may not be accurate.

I listed their stats before and after, HP not included.

Mega Aggron (Level 47)
Before: 113/168/74/62/57
Mega: 141/210/74/81/57

Mega Houndoom (Level 25)
Before: 48/32/62/52/59
Mega: 48/52/77/57/70

Mega Gardevoir (Level 30)
Before: 47/50/97/80/63
Mega: 58/50/124/92/75

Mega Gardevoir: could be - Att nature, -SpA possible but very unlikely, no +Att, no +SpD, could be + SpA, +Def and +Spe possible but gives no even stats and more then +100 boost
neutral nature gives very odd Base Stat boosts
assuming modest gives the most convenient result
SpA boost always significant below +50!
Mega Gardevoir: 68/ 85/ 65/ 165/ 135/ 100

Mega Houndoom: has to be -Att nature, no +Def, no +SpA, possibly +Spe
assuming Timid nature
Mega Houndoom: 75/ 90/ 90/ 140/ 90/ 115

Mega Aggron Edit: must be - Def, boost in SpA or other minor stats possible, unaffecting overall stat change

Mega Aggron: 70/ 140/ 230/ 60/ 80/ 50

Not a battle mechanic per se, but it appears that Critical Captures are back. They are a feature from Gen V where sometimes a thrown Pokeball makes a jet engine-like sound and makes the Pokeball wiggle only once before capture. As I have been catching a lot of Pokemon, the mechanics seem to be similar to Gen V, but I'd have go through some more testing on this matter to make sure.

I don't know if this 100% correct, We need more test but here is what I find:
I was in a match, then I fainted his Hippopotas(sand stream) with my Quilladin, I don't remember the next pokemon but after Hippopotas fainted 5 turns later the sand stream disappear without explanation, what I think is that now When you faint a pokemon with sand stream, drizzle etc., 5 turns later(not exact I can´t remember) the clime goes away.

I don't know if it was mentioned before, but Ghost-type pokémon are immune to Flying Press despite it is considered as dealing Flying-type damage as well.
I guess this was due to the fact that the move is listed as a Fighting-type one. Basically, Korrina can only touch a Honedge with her Machoke that knows Rock Tomb.
That's sad. :(

yeah is true, drought, sand stream, drizzle after 5 turns the clime goes away.

Wild Solosis in Glittering Cave know Hidden Power.

This could be a good way of working out the HP formula for the math-oriented (ie, not me).

It used it on my Aromatisse and it wasn't effective so could be HP, fighting dark bug or fairy. I captured it so we'll see if HP fairy exists.

Fairy doesn't resist itself so don't bother.

(According to Serebii)Apparently Scolipede has been spotted with Speed Boost as an ability, which leads to a question of whether some abilities have been retconned or if some lines can have 4 abilities now.
