There's a new pokemon revealed on Serebii named Wakoishi. It looks like it's a fish pokemon. However, it says that it could be a fake.

There's a picture of a new pokemon on serebii. Looks like a fish. Serebii says its probably fake though so I don't know. Looks legit to me.

I had to go back and make sure I wasn't actually reading the same page over again lol

Caterpillar with Chlorophyll I didn't notice before...go sunny day teams :D

Hopefully it isn't a Dratini case...Dragonite with Shed Skin would be great.

It looks like it's a fish pokemon.

first off, it doesn't look like a fish at all, really. second, it's obviously related to Gigaiasu (red spikes, same colours, found in a cave it looks like. also, if you look closely at the sprite, you can tell it has a rock-like body). "koishi" also means "pebble", apparently.

just some rumours so don't get too excited
Miracle Shooter allows you to use items during battles over wireless/wifi and you can choose to allow this or not when you are setting up the match.
Also options to disallow bringing in I/II/III/IV Gen Pokemon into a match
There is an option for battling with ‘Rental Pokemon’
In Random Battle there are options for either Single Battle (3 or 6 pokemon) or Double Battle (4 or 6 pokemon)
There is a storyline event regarding the Gym Leaders and some competition
Once again there will be 8 badges to earn (and you cannot fully explore the map until you have obtained them all…)
The method to hatch pokemon eggs has changed
storyline sounds cool, but i wonder if anybody will use the previous-gen clause thing.

It'd be interesting. Like one of ADV's metagames was only Pokemon from Ruby and Sapphire dexes. Having a Gen5 "151" metagame would be cool (and for each gen). That's like 6 potential metagames, plus standard OU UU+NU and uber, LC, doubles, triples, rotate...

I hope by a storyline involving the gym leaders and a competition it's not just "omg become champ" but instead the gym leaders have recurring roles and a bit more depth. Something new and exciting plz

Geeze, calm down man. I thought it looked like a fish because of the fins. I didn't know koishi means pebble. Okay?

Maybe they'll take an idea from the manga and make the gym leaders more than just people you do a puzzle in front of and then defeat. (Puzzle is a strong word for what most of them are. Usually the solution is "walk towards the leader")

Gym Leader + Competition invokes memories of the climax to the GSC saga of the manga where the kanto leaders had a tournament against the Johto leaders (in order to flush out the secret head of the enemy). I doubt that it will be something that interesting though. Gym Leader + Competition will probably end up amount to a dress up session followed by a dance party -.-;

Geeze, calm down man.

I wasn't acting up, so that might be hard to do. I was just pointing out the facts/obvious stuff, so there's no need to get all defencive.

A plot involving the Gym Leaders would be great. it would help expand on the characters a bit, which is neat. A competition, however, sound like something that would happen post-game. that makes sense, because you would think the gym leaders (assuming all of them are involved) would need to have been beaten before being part of a competition, which I assume you will also be part of.

New way of hatching eggs? We already got Berry Pots for planting berrys, so I think I smell an egg incubator item coming. If so, I hope that the speed for hatching eggs matches or is faster than the usual biking. Might be for the worse otherwise.

Yeah there's quite a few ugly pokemon this gen. Like this one:
screenshot20100809at120.png

It's actually not that ugly... once you realize the "v" shape is its mouth and not a nose. Or at least that's how I look at it, because it's unbearably ugly if I don't. And the stalk is still sort of funky.

sturdy has been changed! Its now like a sash :D

Sturdy appears to now mean that the Pokemon is unable to be Knocked Out with one attack, rather than OHKO not working. One HP will be left.

Skarmory just got buffed...

Eww...Miruhoggu's face looks ugly in it's artwork.

ROFL....I love how Miruhoggu and Mamambou are next to each other and we can see a little Mimezumi pointing to Miruhoggu but no Luvdisc for Mamanbou *wink wink*.

Although MUCH better, Sturdy is still on the types of pokemon who tend not to get OHKO'd anyway, and Stealth Rock will probably still ruin it. Could make for some interesting leads though.

I hope the seasonal changes are really flushed out. Sure, the stuff we know about it already is cool, but random weather would be much, much cooler. Really hot days in Summer that create a "Drought Effect", heavy rain in Spring, blizzards in Winter, and I suppose fall could have both hot and rainy days. RSE and DPPt had the right idea with it always raining in certain areas, but I want it to rain in all areas at different times.

Improvement of Sturdy:
Too bad all the pokes that currently have Sturdy aren't being OHKO that easily. They either have big defenses or good typing. Not to mention, outside of Skarmory and Forretress, they have a better ability like Magnet Pull or Rock Head.

MeerHog's Face:
I love this thing's look.

Mamambou:
I may be crazy, but in this picture courtesy Pokebeach, it looks like there's a Luvdisc next to him in that double battle (look at the thing getting zapped).

I imagine that all Sturdy Pokemon now become rather effective leads. A brilliant strategy I've discovered with this upgraded ability is to attach a Custap Berry which activates at 25% HP. Next move used goes first. One-time use. This means that Sturdy leads can set up Stealth Rocks on the first turn and Explode on the second turn. I predict Golem rising in usage now!

Oh my god... oh my god... oh my god. Why does the first Rock-type we see showing off Sturdy's new function and it's NOT part Ground to make use of it? Oh my god oh my god I'm so excited now. There's still hope yet for Miruhog.

Did anybody else notice the new Miracle Shooter app? It apparently lets you use an item in wireless battles after you've acquired points through turns. To me, this seems like a load of BULLSHIT. It'll ruin competitive pokemon.
