^The 580 trios are a common factor, they can be removed. Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, and Manaphy are the cute base 600 legends, they can be removed. So as far as "extra" legends go, we have the Lati Twins and Deoxys, Heatran, Cresselia, Darkrai, Regigigas, and Shaymin.

And as for the orange thing being a balancing act to Reshi/Zek...really? Just looking at it seems to imply otherwise. It's design implies nothing similar to the power of this gen's cover legends.

and probably more, but it's late

The list refers to the legendaries with a BST above 600 and without a hindrance (such as Slow Start or Truant). He didn't explicitly state it, but there is obviously a pattern that he implied that the pokemon you added did not satisfy.

Did the psychic trio from this generation look anything like the cover legendaries?

I think there is enough reason just due to the coloring of the critter to say that there is at least a minor association, plus being aired at the end of the movie means it has to be important to the story of the next movie, which WILL have Reshiram and Zekrom as the main element to it.

Uhhh... Reshiram and Zekrom being in the main part of the trailer implies the exact opposite of that. The Pokemon featured in the actual trailer DON'T get featured in the next movie. It's weird, I know, but it's how it is. For example, one trailer featured Regigigas, but Regigigas actually played a very minimal role in the plot of the movie it was advertising to the point where you could just call it a cameo, really. And the last movie's trailer featured Ho-oh and Lugia battling, and the actually movie had neither of them even appear.

However, the big-eared big-eyed thing probably will be in the next movie, and I wouldn't doubt that it would take the role of the featured Pokemon like, say, Manaphy. In fact, I'm still betting the farm it's our new 100s-all-around legendary.

The psychic trio are not part of the Dialga/Palkia/Giratina trio; they form their own. Second, it takes the three of them to subdue just one of Dialga/Palkia (Platinum states that their powers don't work on Giratina). Assuming that a single pokemon, who's design is more similar to Jirachi/Celebi/Manaphy than that of the two pokemon with whom it supposedly forms a trio, is a balancing act to Zekrom/Reshi seems a little farfetched to me.

And being aired in a future movie is of little relevance. Munchlax appeared in Movie 7, and is related to neither Deoxys nor Rayquaza and had no impact on the plot. Movie 11 featured both Shaymin and Giratina (an event legend and a cover legend, hm), and yet they share no relationship. Movie 6 did the same with Jirachi and Groudon (somewhat), while Movie 9 featured Kyogre alongside Manaphy. I highly doubt that our furry orange friend is related to Reshi/Zek.

Finally, most people are speculating that the Ice/Dragon or Poison/Dragon would complete the trio (if it is a trio) due to sharing the dragon type. Orange pokemon doesn't seem like it would have either of those typings.

For the person who said Hihi hit crit on tsu couple pages back, wouldn't it have showed the messages 1 for crit, 1 for It's Super Effective and then fainted. While after the punch only 2 messages were displayed.

I would think that coming from :

A. Something likely with a high base attack.
B. Stab on Fire Punch, then a boost to that due to Encourage.
C. Tsu might not be bulky as the evolutions would be.

I doubt Hihi even needed a crit or even miniumum damage.

This is a little late, but I want to respond to this:

Toxic Orb Facade > LO Double Edge. Otherwise, yeeesssss. Slaking needs love.

Facade's BP is 70, which is doubled to 140 when inflicted with status. So, Toxic Orb + Facade = 140BP

Double Edge is 120BP, boosted 1.3x by Life Orb. 120*1.3 = 156.

And with LO, all your moves are boosted. How on earth did you figure out Facade to be better?

maybe you dont want to take massive recoil(giving you are ohkoing on each hit) each time you atack? double edge+life orb is killing even a beast like slaking fast.

ok fuck this, i am confused. i only got the last part of the discussion. so its skill swap+magic guard+life orb+double edge+slaking? am i missing something else? if that is the case then go and run fucking double edge.

yeah...sorry, i should have take my time to read the last pages....well then life orb+double edge is better on this case, it clearly outclasses.

With Magic Guard on, Life orb + Double Edge Slaking is hella beast, but can Clefable learn Skill Swap? I know it isn't psychic typed, but that little pink fairy can learn a ton of things, i.e Gravity, Fire Blast, etc..
