the discussion is stupid cause flareon sweeping capabilitys got little to do with BW, on the other hand a evolution for all eevolutions would fit the thread porpuse, and would be a great excuse for fixing flareon. am i correct at least on the later?

i adimit i dindt noticed the entire new move part though, but not even that super boosted flame whell would ohko bliss.

They have everything to do with BnW because there's where we might get our fix for Flareon. The Eevee's don't need evolutions, they already have 525 BST.

k since we are talking about gamefreak i guess a grass move, EQ, agility, a awesome ability and great STAB are all possible on flareon.

525 to 550/some random shit is not exactly impossible to happen, we are talking about gamefreak.

edit: green monkey look like epic shit.

Enough, once again, about Flareon.

Moving on..

i'm continuing to love this thing.. and i'm hoping it turns more into a big broc-monster.. rather than a ambipom looking thing.

A lot of the pokemon look like they have the same caliber of power and potential as Plusle and Minun. Interesting and fun.. but worthless in the long run

Wow, his sprite is awesome. I didn't like his official artwork, and I really disliked the play-doh thing, but his sprite looks really awesome.

Even though the Flareon debate is already deemed "over", let me just say, why is everyone acting like it needs base 100 stats across the board to be effective? Many Pokemon have craptacular defense stats, that doesn't hinder their ability to set up or be effective. Like someone mentioned, giving flareon Agility (which is really, really not that farfetched at all considering the eeveelutions propensity for BP'ing stat boosts) and a decent STAB move (again not that farfetched considering Hihidaruma (Sp?) and the desperate need for a decent Physical Fire move) , and Flareon = better. Few pokemon are beyond repair, and Flareon is far from that, so I wish people would quit acting like it is.

better, not yet viable. besides a bit more atack i say flareon is outclassed by arcanine who is faster, can take more hits, got 2 useful abiltys with one of them being shared with flareon and about the same shit but enough for a choice set movepool.

most stuff flareon gets in BW arcanine is also getting, arcanine is more reliable anyway with the higher hp paying for the lower special def.

so unless gamefreak add all that stuff to flareon(only agility and good fire move make any sense) it will still be outclassed in all of its jobs. like blasphemy said, flareon it try to do too much at once.

do we got the monkey type already?

It was announced as grass type and has Gluttony and the move Acrobat. We already got plenty of information about Yanappu^^

Edit: Ninja´d, I guess. Anyway, it´s sprite rocks.

Seems to be plenty of Grass and Psychics this Gen. I think this could mean GameFreak are buffing up Grass and Psychic instead of everyone having to depend on Dragons and Steels.
Also Lucalibur, like, use punctuation? My eyes burn.

on gamefreak mind the dragons are the ultimate atacking force and steels are the ultimate defending/wallling/whatever force. i doubt they would be changing this. maybe they want to surprise us with some awesome shit for those 2 on the next update?

or maybe they are just gonna troll us again, who knows? yes, i noticed i am pretty much spamming the page.

I mentioned this way earlier in the thread, that people need to stop confusing being outclassed with being bad. elchupo hit the nail on the head, actually. I already mentioned earlier in the thread various ways to improve on Flareon to make it more usable, and it wasn't this shit-ton of upgrades, just a few.

Doesn't mean much. We didn't have any Ground-types revealed before September 26th 2006, and yet we got Hippowdon (another Sand Streamer) and... Garchomp.

If anything, this just shows us we're about to get a killer, totally broken Ice-type pokémon. And hahah we all know this will never happen lol.

Why are their so many monkeys/apes in this game?

Aipom, Ambipom, Chimchar, Monferno, Infernape, Mankey, Primeape, and now broccoli.

cause they are a lot of different monkey species and legends that got something to do with them.

same reason why we got so many water types: lots of fishs.

To improve Grass-types, all they need to do is change the type chart. Make Ice neutral against Grass, and make Grass neutral against Steel. That would stir things up!

Making a dozen more Grass-types won't really help.

What is the point in nerfing a type that's not overwhelming (only "really good") offensively? We don't need that. At best, Ice would not complain in having added resistances to Dragon and maybe Water (not Grass; we don't want eight types resisting it).

If you want a typing that's worse than Ice offensively but also better than it defensively, then go with Water.

ice beam is the reason water types are not walled to death by grass types, ice was MADE to be a offensive type and to suck everywhere else.

Because when GameFREAK created the typings back before R/B they totally had knowledge of what types would be effective and which ones wouldn't 14 years later, right?

Grass typing is fine as is, the only problem is the Pokemon themselves. There are far too many throw away Grass/Poison pokemon. Leafeon is OU viable, and Shaymin is incredibly underrated, as is Cradily though to a lesser extent. If Heatran and Scizor weren't running around things would be a lot better for grass types in general.

Cacturn's gonna be so annoying next gen.
Cacturne@ Bright Powder
Grass Mixer
Sub
Sucker Punch
Leech Seed

Grass Mixer lowers accuracy and hiding behind Subs means you'll need two lucky rolls in a row just to touch him. After one Grass Mixer you'll be at under a 50 percent chance to hit him. After two you'll really be praying for luck. All the while he eats away at your health with Leech Seed. Machamp ruins it, but that's only one Pokemon.

As for Ice pokemon, they need a boost in hail other than Blizzard. A lot of people propose riasing Defense, but personally I'd rather see Attack be raised by 1.5. This would put Abomosnow in TTar attacking range, it would make Weavile incredibly powerful, though its movepool would still prevent it from being broken, Lapras Dragon Dance would be viable, and Mamoswine would be incredibly frightening with his Earthquake and STAB Ice Shard.

Actually one of the better ideas I've heard. Ice is not going to be a defensive type ever. Extra Defense will not save something like Abomnasnow live from Close Combat or Stone Edge. This is probably one of the better ideas for Hail as Ice doesn't need a Special Attack boost thanks to Blizzard's perfect accuracy, and there can be a good amount of physical Ice users that can use the extra attack to make up for the lack of solid Physical Ice STAB outside of Shard.
