Actually one of the better ideas I've heard. Ice is not going to be a defensive type ever. Extra Defense will not save something like Abomnasnow live from Close Combat or Stone Edge. This is probably one of the better ideas for Hail as Ice doesn't need a Special Attack boost thanks to Blizzard's perfect accuracy, and there can be a good amount of physical Ice users that can use the extra attack to make up for the lack of solid Physical Ice STAB outside of Shard.
I'd rather have a solid physical Ice move and a defense boost.

Ice Edge makes sense imho. Also, we REALLY need a second Snow Warning pokemon. Abomasnow is alright, but it makes for a terrible lead and certainly does not fit any team.

It would be nice if we could get that in a Jynx evo,or a Ice/Fighting Pokemon

Forewarn -> Snow Warning? Sort of want. A second Snow Warning Poke would be rather nice, but I'd like to see it as something that can come in more than once without being Pursuit Bait. Jynx, specially strong and fast she is, has about the same defenses as Weavile. Not good for something that would have to come in time and again to cancel out Sandstorm or Rain.

Water gets priority, so should Fire.
Also, it doesn't take much for Fire to be faster than Scizor, he only has 65 base Speed. What I'd really like to see though is a Fire type pursuit. Fire is really strong on the switch in most cases, but they tend to be really suspetable to switch-outs thanks to their useually less than seller movepools, common weaknesses, and generally substandard speed. Giving them Fire type pursuit though would allow them to play the role of revenge killer amply and would help put a dent in steel pokemon that are so rampant. The Fire pursuit could also be the Special version of pursuit. All of this helps to do one major thing: finally put to rest SkarmBliss.

As for Pokemon that should get it, I believe the following would be suitable aesthetically:
Typhlosion
Rapidash
Arcanine
Houndoom
Flareon
Magmortar
Blaziken
Infernape
Victini
Hihidaruma
Entei
Octillery

Any other Pokemon it would most likely depend on the name and description of the move. This would give a purpose to use Blaziken over Infernape, and would give Houndoom a really nice niche.

Good idea, but... Octillery?

^ Octillery gets flame thrower and fire blast if I recall why not a fire pursuit :P

I would personally love a fire pursuit, it would make steels not a good type and not as defensive. Steel types could potentially not control the metagame along with waters and dragons. Now all we need is a electric priority move for gyrados =D

...Yeah, a Fire Pursuit would take Steel out of picture by a little and make the metagame even more dominated by Dragons and also Waters; they both even resist it.

I'm not really sure if I want one now.

Anyone else loving this synergy between Gluttony + Acrobat + Liechi/Petaya Berry? Assuming Yanappu (or whatever it evolves into) has a decent enough stat spread and movepool, we could see a new Sub-Berry power in OU or UU (gut instinct tells me it's more likely to join its monkey-buddy Ambipom in UU than Infernape in OU).

I can see it already....

Yanappu @Liechi Berry
~Gluttony~

Substitute
Acrobat
Leaf Blade
??? (Fake Out/Agility?)

I could see that only working really well if Yanappu gets a great speed stat, otherwise too many things will knock it out before it can really get its sweep on.

The only things I'm worrying about is if either its Speed or Attack stats are not up to snuff.

They might screw up Yanappu. The metagame might be different from our expectations. People thought Heatran sucked at the beginning of DP and look where it's at now.

Acrobat is stronger if the USER has no item, not the target.

Wouldn't it be great if the power of the move was increased when both pokemon don't have an item, as well as when the user doesn't? I could see a whole team based around Acrobat and Knock Off, if so. I think Acrobat will be pretty widespread, a bit like U-turn.
