Do you guys think we might get any new move tutors? Like earth power/aura sphere or something?

Move Tutors are generally Moves that used to be TMs in 1st and/or 2nd Gen, not just some random moves that are good.

The ONLY Exceptions are Frenzy Plant, Blast Burn, Hydro Cannon, and Draco Meteor, but those are pretty much only obtainable in that way.

I'm hoping for a Curse Move Tutor, as Everything that can learn a TM move in GSC could get it, similar to Hidden Power, Facade, Swagger, Rest and Protect (Minus Regigigas for the latter two). Many already-slow powerhouses (Or Trick Room Team Pokemon) would enjoy getting it.

I don't remember Counter/Softboiled/Body Slam/etc beng TMs in GSC but w/e.

I've only suggested Earth Power and Aura Sphere because very few pokemon can learn them and i don't see a reason why they have to be so exclusive... And we need more pokes with a special ground attack

I do!
Counter was from the lady at the Celadon Dept. Store.
Softboiled was from the lady (man?) across the lake in Celadon.
Body Slam was on the SS. Anne (I think?).

I actually wouldn't be too upset if the elemental punches weren't there.
It would kind of defeat the purpose of Emerald breeding, although I think that's what The Pokemon Team is trying to accomplish. xP

I'm rooting for Curse, Metronome (lol), Hypnosis, Pay Day (xD), Double-Edge, Self-Destruct, Tri Attack, and Nightmare.

In addition to the old ones of course. :D

Those are tutor moves not tms. :P

I just want tutor moves that can be learned by a variety of pokemon and still be useful. Softboiled is learned by like 3 pokemon right? Tri-attack and rapid spin are two moves I would like tutors for.But we've said this before...

That is where the 1st gen and/or 2nd gen comes into play. Counter/Softboiled/Body Slam are all TMs in RBY. Counter is TM18, Softboiled is TM41, and Body Slam is TM08. http://serebii.net/rb/rbtmhm.shtml

Aura Sphere should be available for every pokemon, it just doesn't make since. It is inside of everyone and everything, so why wouldn't my damn Gengar be able to learn it!

Not every pokemon has the power of aura?

It's a special move that certain pokemon can't perform correctly. You could say that every pokemon could learn skull bash by slamming their head into something incredibly hard and getting brain-damage, but it's not true that they could do this effectively at all.

Also, it would make gengar pretty damn powerful. Usually, gamefreak tries to avoid making things too overpowering, such as not giving gengar nasty plot...

That and the fact they don't care much about 680 BST Legends and Event Pokémon (see Battle Tower). The only exceptions to this are Soul Dew Latios and Garchomp, but that's the reason for the bolded statement.

The thing I see is that FRLG had Gen I TMs, whilst Emerald had Gen I and II, III's are still around, so all I could think of is other Gen I/II/both ones, or random moves from every gen.

Well, I was bored, so I decide to write down a list of all the old TMs that aren't Emerald Move Tutors or D/P TMs so we have some kind of basis:

Razor Wind
Whirlwind
Horn Drill
Take Down
Bubblebeam
Water Gun (LOL I LOVE RBY)
Pay Day
Submission
Rage
Mega Drain (we have Giga Drain, so whatever)
Dragon Rage
Fissure
Teleport (LOL I LOVE RBY²)
Bide
Selfdestruct (hey Mewtwo)
Egg Bomb
Skull Bash
Sky Attack
Psywave
Tri Attack (hey Togekiss)

Headbutt
Curse
Zap Cannon
Sweet Scent
Dragonbreath
Mud-Slap (jesus I hate GSC)
Defense Curl (jesus I hate GSC²)
Nightmare
Whirlpool
Dive

... Well, that's it. A pretty sucking list, I say. Out of those, only Tri Attack, Curse, Zap Cannon, Dive and Nightmare are really wanted. Bubblebeam, Horn Drill, Fissure, Submission, Whirlwind, Dragonbreath and Headbutt are good gimmicks that might come to prove themselves useful.

So, we have 12 attacks. Emerald had 20 Frontier Tutors and 10 Hoenn Tutors. If they decide to use the same number for Platinum, we can hope they'll do something good. Possibly, the return of the Elemental Punches, Softboiled, Counter and Icy Wind! The sucky part is that we will have things like Lucky Chant too ;[

And something interesting I noticed is that there wasn't a single RSE move taught by the Tutors back in Emerald. I hope they don't decide to mirror that and prive us of Nasty Plot/Earth Power Tutors! But we might get Wish/Baton Pass instead, so whatever. As long as Gardie gets Baton Pass, Toxicroak gets the Punches and Froslass, Nasty Plot, they can give Gengar Aura Sphere for all I care. [/fanboy]

While you're technically correct, you missed the special XD Move Tutor who offers Nightmare, Sky Attack, and SelfDestruct.

Oh, and Defense Curl is an Emerald Tutor.
