What's with the EB spam? Too much coinage. Least Keldeo's easier for me than timed SP stages. Hope it's not loaded with excessive boss stages like Giratina gained 3-4, last 10 stages needed items, and later ones buffed to need four Full Items.

I hope this too. However, should it prove too expensive, I'll stop at 200 (like with Giratina-O's EB). After all, post-200 prizes are not so appealing, especially if 235 and 275 turn out to be boss levels.
All in all, I think that my priority for this week will be Genesect's special stage. Do we know if it has a good drop rate?
 
I'm debating farming Genesect's PSB stage since I still need coins to clear out some main Stage S-Ranks, and Genesect's getting a Skill swapped next week, so I'm curious what that might end up being. Crowd Control hasn't been that appealing to me since the change to Mobile's proc rate, so maybe I'll grind it to SL2 if I make good time on Keldeo

Really? Why should they make it skill-swappable just after its special stage has gone? It doesn't make sense...I'm still going to bring it at least to SL4, though, in memory of good ol' shuffle days, when nobody cared about Risk Taker, and Crowd Control was the most overpowered damage-dealing ability in the game :)

Don't ask me, I don't balance for this game. Mainly because I mostly use Genesect for BP, so even if Crowd Control's substitute wasn't that good, I probably won't miss the substitute
 
After bringing Genesect to SL4, I did my first (and likely only) attempt at Meloetta's competitive stage. Scored 88611 points with M-Tyranitar, Genesect, Hoopa-U, Zoroark. I'm 31st in Europe atm, and while I don't think it will be enough for a tier 1 placement, falling into tier 2 wouldn't be so bad. Unlike past competitions, this time I was really lucky, with Tyranitar generating a couple of huge combos and sinister power activating more often than usual. My only regret is that the last cycle of disruptions generated no additional combos, otherwise I could have aimed for the top 5... :/
 
Having difficulty getting good combos on the competition, but made it past 200 on the EB without needing full item runs. Might go all the way if the competition doesn't leave me dry.

EDIT: Just got to 251 and realised how stupidly difficult it'll be to get to 300 without breaking the bank. The rewards past 250 aren't worth the coins that'll be spent IMO.

I agree, once you clear 250 (maybe 275 if it's non-boss) I say stop there. 290-300 are going to require coins to clear, and they're barely consistent with DD + M5. I'm going back to Meowth grinding, if I have a coin excess I'll wrap up that stretch, but this EB is really horse shit.
 
As planned, I stopped at 200. Since I don't care about the intermediate prizes, spending 50k (or even more) just to get the last 3 RMLs would be foolish, to say the least. On one hand, however, I'm glad that GS is providing me an excuse to quit these escalations on relatively early stages. At least this gives me ample time to grind coins and PSBs (currently working on Ice Dance Vanillish), which are way more useful than a coulpe of stupid lollipops.

Brute Force got buffed to deal triple damage and in the process, managed to bug it so now Brute Force affects all Pokémon and not just Pokémon who are NVE, and as a result, everything deals triple damage while it is active. Now you can easily S-Rank stuff, beat timed stages, or even steamroll Survival Mode like so:

70 moves into Mega Mewtwo Y. Snorlax was SL3. GS honestly needs to patch this because this is way too broken. Make the most of it before GS gets some common sense.
 
I'm stuck on main stage 147: Togekiss. My optimized line up is Mega Mawile Lv.3, Klefki Lv.5, Croagunk Lv.2 and Nidorina Lv.1. I would prefer not to use any items. Suggestions?

Thank you so much random for suggesting this! Since I still had to get past survival mode, I tried the same team and it worked wonderfully! Also got exactly the same results, I faced MMY with 70 moves available and ended with 60 moves left. Now, it's pretty clear that GS will fix this bug as soon as possible, but until then... >:)

Btw...does anyone know if it is safe to login today? XD
 
Gonna have to figure out which Pokemon to use my small stack of SS's, RML's and MSU's on. Mewtwo Y seems to be a good choice for MSU, but I haven't used it in a while. Also not sure if Genesect is worth using an SS on, and the low activation rates of Non-Stop+ and Unity Power have me on the fence.

Among the Megas who got an updated MSU cap, I immediately fed Absol, Garchomp and Blaziken (although it's been a while since the last time I used it). MMY is the next on my list, and with its new mega evolution speed he may even make a comeback for Sunday Meowth. Nine MSUs are quite a heavy investment though...
As for Genesect, I'm not going to change its ability. Sure, 4 Up deals nice, reliable damage on 4-matches (1139 with a lv15 Genesect), but Crowd Control can deal good enough damage even on 3- and 5-matches, and has ok activation rates at SL5.
 
I'll be working on Absol with various resources as they come. RML's for a Mind Zap Dark type are great regardless of using him as the Mega.

Does SL boost Crowd Control's damage or proc rate? I tend to use Burst damage on damaging abilities, which is why I prefer "reliable" damage from things like Risk-Taker and Po4(+) to Crowd Control's slightly more board dependent output.

For Crowd Control, it increases the proc rate, from 20/60/80 at SL1 to 60/100/100 at SL5, iirc.

I completely forgot about Absol. Unfortunately, I used up quite a few MSU recently on Mega Aggron and Shiny Mega Gyarados (and one or two others too, I don't remember who exactly). Probably gonna finish RML and MSU Mawile. I'll have to check how many RML, MSU, and SS I have.

EDIT: Did I somehow miss Donphan being RML-able? Might have to do that ASAP now, or is Non-Stop+ a better ability? Keeping it alive could be a problem, but with Mega Camerupt and timed stages it might be easier?

Donphan can now take 10 RMLs (only 3 before the update). Now that Ground Forces has a 1.5x multiplier, a lv20 Donphan will become a great asset to ground teams.
As for Non-Stop+, I'm not sure of its viability. It has great damage potential, but keeping it active may result problematic, both because of its 35% proc rate on 3-matches and because of its very limited distribution. Also, I'm not a fan of 120SP abilities, as I usually lack the resources to bring them to high levels. Last but not least, it is essentially useless on timed stages, since only the first match of a combo has its ability activated.

Ah, okay thanks. I'll work on Donphan now then, since I don't have anything else to work on at the moment (stopped at 250 on EB).
 
They've patched Brute Force in the latest update (don't check in if you still want to abuse it!) and reverted it back to its settings pre-update. There was also a mistake with Non-Stop+ that has been fixed. Checking in today got me 10,000 coins on 3DS, not sure if it's the same with Mobile users.
