[TMS] Nails vs YoBuddy [FOX] -- Nails looked mortal last week taking his first loss of the tournament, and while there were spots where he could have executed better, I don't think he played poorly by any means. YoBuddy also took his first loss (of one match), but he did not particularly impress me at all and I thought Qwello Lee was in control the entire time. Nails has also been one of the best OTT players for Doubles (& RBY!) recently (6-3 SSD IV, 6-4 SSD III), while YoBuddy has struggled historically in Doubles Forum Team Tours (4-12 overall) so I am going to confidently bold Nails.
[GIB] Paraplegic vs Actuarily [TER] -- Actuarily is back after a two week break, where hopefully he was able to shrug off the unluckiness he faced in his debut weeks and start to turn his season around. I was not super impressed by any of his first games, Week 1 he auto lost (although I am faulting his team choice) while Week 2 he got unlucky overall even though there were a few spots where he could have played better, but I don't think he's been bad at any means either. Paraplegic seems to either load up an auto win matchup or bring Tornadus and lose. None of his outings have really jumped out to be as amazing playing wise, but I am going to slightly favor him based on his experience and ability to gain a huge advantage at team preview.
[PLA] Z Strats vs Frania [SHO] --
[DYN] Qwello Lee vs Spurrific [BRE] -- Highlight Match. Qwello Lee has been great since his Week 1 loss (where I think he played well overall until unexpectedly getting Meteor Beamed) and has performing at a top 3 level as his record indicates. His play and prep have both been top tier and reflective of the #2 ranking I gave him preseason. I am going to slightly favor him over the Spurrific, who had one of the biggest upset victories last week over Nails. Spurrific has been solid when he doesn't break auto lose to Spore in Trick Room, but I have still been more impressed with Qwello Lee overall. I am really excited for this match and hope it's a good ones!
[SPA] stax vs Mishimono [ISL] -- stax is rounding into form, and I am quite sad Z Strats has to play him Week 8 and not Week 1, where he didn't know that Zygarde ran Superpower. I was quite impressed by his game plan last week: he caught the Rillaboom Turn 1 with Choice Scarf Heatran Eruption, tricked the Porygon2, and chipped the Metagross so Diancie could win under Trick Room. With the fourth most OTT wins of all time and going 8-2 in his last appearance during SPL XI, I am quite excited to see completely locked in and on a roll stax. Mishimono was able to pilot another Offense team to a win as he usually does, but has brought similar archetypes three of the four weeks and looked not like his usual self when piloting his Week 2 team. stax and Lunar have been on a roll and if they can prep well for Mishimono's tendencies I like their chances.
