Shiny HUNTING?

The other week i was searching for a shiny houndoom and i tried like 4 chains of 37 pokes and them borken them and 0 shinys houndoom...T.T but the next chain in the houndoom 8 whats that i say? and i notice the shiny patch ^^ i was frustrate and happy at the same time xD

Oh, I've got a story.

Back in the Silver version, I was hunting in the Dragon's Den behind the Blackthorn City gym, trying to find a shiny Dratini. See, I'd been playing for something like 200 hours and I hadn't found one single shiny yet (aside from the Red Gyarados, of course), so I figured I was due.

After several hours of fruitless hunting, I gave up in frustration and left the cave. There I was, Surfing in the pond behind the gym, when I encountered... a shiny Magikarp.

I did indeed capture the thing, but I cried myself to sleep that night. And I haven't gotten a single shiny since.
 
I caught a shiny Absol on the 8th in a Pokeradar chain. I used a synch Pokemon but it was serious with pressure =[ shame because the IVs were very good
 
I swear by radar chaining. I've got a box full of shinies from it, even some with the right nature, ability, and IVs *points to HP Fighting porygon and Mischevious pichu*! However, some IVs are lower than I'd like *curses her Jolly Absol's 15 speed IV*.

The easiest to chain go in this order: electric types>swarms>pokeradar exclusives>normal sinnoh pokemon>Trophy Garden exclusives.
I've yet to try chaining under weather conditions...
 
I absolutely hate chaining. For example, last night I had a couple of Roselia chains of 30 or something, and suddenly a freaking Pichu showed up. And a Kricketune. God I hate Kricketune and its sadistic cry. Destroyed it with a well-aimed Fire Blast from my Salamence.

And I am also one of those persons who has never ran into a shiny before besides the Red Dos. It sucks.
 
I haven't found any shiny in Pearl yet, but I'm bound to, one day...

However, I found a shiny Slugma while EV training in FireRed, and a Shiny Unown some days after when I was bored walking in those ruins.

I wonder what I should chain for, though.
