Metagame Sketchmons

Hello, sorry for the inactivity here but now we have some new management, and also after reviewing the ban list from eons ago we decided to make a new one from scratch. The tier's power level should be increased as a result and we're gonna re-tier from there. Challenge code is included in the original post, enjoy!

Volcarona and Urshifu Rapid-Strike have been unanimously banned from Sketchmons!
:sv/volcarona: :sv/urshifu-rapid-strike:

1780189325237.png

Both of these are pretty standard brokens that become unreasonably taxing to deal with with the addition of any coverage move of choice. Volcarona can tack on basically whatever special move fits the team and/or beats your dedicated counter to it, creating an extremely unhealthy dynamic both in the builder and in-game, while Urshifu Rapid-Strike can choose to run many disparate coverage options (or your bog standard Jet Punch) to become impossible to check either offensively or defensively. Not much to say, these guys are brokens.

Council also have our eyes on a few potentially problematic elements going into June (Archaludon/Rain and Zamazenta have both come up, among several others) but have elected to give them a chance in the tier before drastic action.

Quick addendum, council just unanimously voted on a restriction on the move Final Gambit

Basically, being able to delete or severely hamper a check by dealing damage equal to your current health is not OK when users expand to include pokemon such as Regidrago, Iron Hands, Blissey, or even Chansey.

Also the tour/challenge code has been fixed.

That is all, ty

Excited to check out the meta again, it's been quite a while. Some theorymonning ahead of the laddering going live.

Zamazenta @ Heavy-Duty Boots/Life Orb/Leftovers/Lum Berry
Ability: Dauntless Shield
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly/Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance/Tidy Up/Dragon Dance
- Close Combat
- Crunch
- Stone Edge/Heavy Slam

I'm not sure whether Zamazenta was legal last time, but it seems absolutely busted on paper. Zamazenta can easily find opportunities to setup and only :Regieleki:, :deoxys-speed: and :electrode-hisui: outspeed it. If you go for Tidy Up/DD then it outspeeds and KOs all three with CC/Crunch respectively. With a life orb, at +1, offensive Gholdengo is KO'd and Pecharunt has a 93.8% chance of being 2HKOd (Adamant). At a glance only Dondozo can kinda handle it if it's healthy, but LO Adamant CC still does around 40% on a high roll.

1780307459717.png

Regieleki @ Choice Specs/Life Orb
Ability: Transistor
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Ice Beam/Freeze Dry/Glacial Lance/Steam Eruption
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Supercell Slam

Whether it's physical, special or mixed :Regieleki: also seems too strong. We all know why Regieleki is problematic and why it's particularly strong in this format. It's probably not as overbearing as Zamazenta, but it's another element that will be difficult to build around.

Anyways, excited to check both of them out when the ladder goes live.

EDIT: I looked at the inital banlist more carefully and discovered some other interesting omissions. Notably :Palafin-hero:, :Ogerpon-Hearthflame:, :landorus: and :annihilape:

:Palafin-hero: @ Life Orb / Leftovers
Ability: Zero to Hero
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Jet Punch
- Drain Punch
- Ice Punch/Taunt

It's surprisingly difficult to find a sketchmove that meaningfully improves Palafin, it already has access to everything it needs to succeed. However, more offensive sweeper variants likely prefer SD over bulk up. Coverage wise I'm a bit stumped, but Bitter Blade, Knock Off, Surging Strikes, Glacial Lance, Aqua Step etc. are nice options. Not sure whether this will be too strong, since other Jet Punch is also accessible to Crawdaunt and other water types.

:Ogerpon-Hearthflame: @ Hearthflame Mask
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Aqua Step/Flower Trick/Glacial Lance/Tidy Up etc
- Ivy Cudgel
- Swords Dance
- Taunt/Spikes/Encore/Trailblaze/Power Whip

Similarly to Palafin, this thing is quite free to run whatever it desires and it will probably be successful. Access to a plethora of coverage options, not that it needs them, is icing ont the cake. It will pick and choose its checks and if you guess wrong you're dead. Nothing enjoys switching into this mon.

:Landorus: @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Ice Beam/Blue Flare/Rock Polish/Hurricane
- Earth Power
- Stealth Rock
- Nasty Plot

Another already excellent mon with a plethora of available options to run amok. My prediction is that it will do what it always does, KOing anything slower than it.

:Annihilape: @ Leftovers
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance/Shore Up etc.
- Taunt
- Rage Fist
- Drain Punch

Rage Fist is restricted, but I'm not sure if that applies to Annihilape as well. If it does then I doubt this will be as problematic, if it doesn't then this will be quite restrictive.

PS, should this command work?

Why is Palafin legal while Surging Strikes is also legal? Besides using the bulky Water Pokemon, how is anything supposed to wall this exactly? How is any specially defensive Pokemon supposed to wall SFLO Nasty Plot Landorus-Incarnate, especially now that it gets Fire/Ice coverage instead of weak Poison coverage? Why is the infamous Annihilape legal when it can get access to Recover or Jungle Healing to eliminate any slow progress against it and prevent it from getting affected by status conditions?

I have a feeling we’re gonna need a handful of bans for some of the strongest hyper offense mons before we see stability

Anyway check out this sick Araquanid set

anyways some cool ideas I had

:sv/volcarona:
Volcarona @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Flame Body
Tera Type: Psychic
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Quiver Dance
- Lumina Crash
- Fiery Dance
- Bug Buzz

There is no good way to switch into this, Lumina Crash almost invalidates any mon trying to stall it out.
'

:sv/Garchomp:
Garchomp @ Leftovers
Ability: Rough Skin
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Aqua Step

Garchomp likes running Scale Shot, so why not instead run Aqua Step to hit Great Tusk and the like?

:sv/Glimmora:
Glimmora @ Power Herb
Ability: Toxic Debris
Tera Type: Rock
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Meteor Beam
- Earth Power
- Sludge Bomb

It's like a lead Nihilego or Necrozma last gen, except with a more forward lead heavy Pokemon.

:sv/Mimikyu:
Mimikyu @ Mental Herb
Ability: Disguise
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Healing Wish
- Trick Room
- Will-O-Wisp
- Shadow Sneak

Good Cress-adjacent Pokemon who sets up trick room then dies. Works well with a very slow Houndstone or Kingambit
glimmora already gets meteor beam sry I just had to call it out

This metagame needs so many immediate bans and restrictions. Palafin, Ogerpon-Hearthflame, Landorus-Incarnate, Annihilape, Surging Strikes, Salt Cure, Sacred Fire, Electro Shot/Raging Bolt, and Burning Bulwark should all be banned and restricted.

There are people running Sacred Fire + Burning Bulwark to uncompetitively fish for burns. There are Sniper Kingdras running around with Surging Strikes, being basically unwallable to anything besides the Water Pokemon. There are people spamming Palafin with Surging Strikes everywhere.

I really don't feel like giving a giant explanation for why each of these elements are so broken when they have already tested and proven themselves banworthy from STABmons and Alphabet Cup. Just why did this format have to allow so many Ubers and so many well-known broken moves?

Inky said what I wanted to better than I could say it, but I'm also adding the addendum of Population Bomb being an incredibly obnoxious move that we don't need Zoroark-Hisui, Braviary, or Golem-Alola using. Although it IS really funny when Golem uses it.

1780452026618.png

...and Heat/Damp Rock, Rain and Sun are really obnoxious on ladder.

SKETCHMONS TIERING UPDATE
:damp rock: :landorus::ogerpon-hearthflame::serperior:
Damp Rock, Landorus-Incarnate, Ogerpon-Hearthflame, and Serperior have been banned!

:damp rock:
Rain is quite obviously overtuned. A plethora of abusers are significantly powered up by its presence, including many of the dangerous Pokemon mentioned by our community. Per Other Metagames tiering precedents, the council is targeting the most widely-applicable aspect of what makes these Pokemon broken, and topics like Palafin, Raging Bolt, and Surging Strikes will be revisited later.
:landorus:
Landorus is normally held back by a critical lack of coverage against common defensive Pokemon, often Grass, Flying, and Water types. With access to infinite coverage, usually boosted by Sheer Force, Landorus becomes nearly uncheckable, as it can utilize moves like Bolt Strike, Dragon Ascent, Freeze Dry, and Pyro Ball to bypass its checks.
:ogerpon-hearthflame:
It has Mold Breaker and its issue of limited coverage is solved via the Sketched move, which also recieves a 1.2x power boost from the mask. Aqua Step, Glacial Lance, and Dragon Dance all made Ogerpon far more dangerous than any team could reasonably handle.
:serperior:
Serperior has once again proven to be banworthy! After getting on the field, it quickly snowballs out of control, and it's no longer checked by Grass resists thanks to the additional coverage. Overheat was by far the most common Sketched move, followed by Fleur Cannon, thanks to its Contrary synergy and complimentary coverage, but Serperior could feasibly run other coverage moves to get around different walls.
:smeargle:What's Next?:smeargle:
We're glad to see everyone take such an interest in Sketchmons tiering! This metagame has suffered from a lack of general audience attention in the past few years, and it's nice to have community input once again! Sketchmons was in a dire place at the beginning of the generation and suffered from a tiering policy not fit for the metagame concept. When the council was re-formed, it was unanimously decided that a clean slate was needed and the format had to be tiered differently and more carefully this time around. The current state of Sketchmons is a result of caution and patience; more bans will be coming but they will be heavily vetted beforehand. The council is keeping a close eye on many aspects of the metagame, including but not limited to:
Archaludon, Electro Shot, Hawlucha, Jet Punch, Raging Bolt, Surging Strikes, Sticky Web, Sun, and Zamazenta
One more thing: let's welcome VannAccessible to the Sketchmons council! Glad to have someone as active and interested as you on the team!

I've seen lot of hazard stacking so I'm really glad Court Change and Tidy Up are legal!

Anyway here something I was thinking:

Garchomp @ Loaded Dice
Ability: Rough Skin
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Scale Shot
- Earthquake
- Bitter Blade

Bitter Blade is a blessing, notably to hit Corviknight or Gholdengo @ Balloon. Also it's nice bulk really enjoy coverage + recovery at the same time. Similarly, most of DD users can run Bitter Blade or Pyro Ball.

Also I'm enjoying Secret Sword on Iron Valiant.

Last but not least, Weavile with Glacial Lance is a pain, is anyone else feeling the same?

I reached #3.

I know that Burning Bulwark, Surging Strikes, Heat Rock, and Palafin should definitely be banned. I believe that Gouging Fire, Ogerpon-Hearthflame, and Meowscarada will become banworthy after that.

Burning Bulwark is banworthy because of the ridiculous mindgames it creates on Turn 1 and how unpredictable it is. For example, I have seen people starting to run Burning Bulwark or Stone Axe on Samurott-Hisui and it is basically impossible to predict. People have even been putting Burning Bulwark on CINDERACE. I bet you that people are going to eventually start shoving Burning Bulwark on Landorus-Therian as well because there is no way to counter it besides purposefully losing tempo and sending out a defensive wall.

Surging Strikes is banworthy because of how stupidly centralizing it is. The only viable physical walls right now are Alomomola and Toxapex just because they resist Water and can pivot and have Regenerator. You know how much damage Pecharunt takes from Surging Strikes?
252 Atk Sniper Kingdra Surging Strikes (3 hits) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Pecharunt on a critical hit: 120-147 (31.5 - 38.6%) -- 99.2% chance to 3HKO
252+ Atk Palafin-Hero Surging Strikes (3 hits) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Pecharunt on a critical hit: 126-153 (33.1 - 40.2%) -- 99.9% chance to 3HKO

Pecharunt is repeatedly forced to Recover to deal with Surging Strikes, otherwise it just gets destroyed the next time a Surging Striker enters the field. I am tired of seeing this stupid move everywhere on and I just want it gone.
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9sketchmons-2625238286-3revlruivt7i42226l3vo1ac3th0sckpw (wow Inteleon too? wow)

I hate the Sun. You cannot defeat Sun reliably without going hard stall, because guess what, all the Sun Pokemon now get free boosted Fire coverage from Bitter Blade or Flare Blitz or Sacred Fire or whatever. The only reason I can actually get rid of Sun setup sweepers like Gouging Fire is because I have Choice Scarfed Latios ready to nuke it and Slowking-Galar with Acid Spray and Future Sight stops Calm Minders. However, that doesn't stop random Chlorophyll Pokemon to destroy me because literally what am I supposed to do.

ONE MORE SKETCHMONS TIERING UPDATE
:ability shield::gouging fire::palafin::raging bolt:
Burning Bulwark, Gouging Fire, Palafin, and Raging Bolt have been banned!

Burning Bulwark is a fantastic defensive and utility option which was sketched by a wide variety of defensive and offensive Pokemon. Protect is conceptually better in this format, as it allows Pokemon to scout for coverage moves and waste the PP of powerful options like Glacial Lance and Headlong Rush. Burning Bulwark took this to the next level, heavily punishing any Pokemon for making contact, but especially devastating to the offensive Pokemon using U-turn and sketching contact moves like Bolt Strike and Jet Punch. Burning Bulwark had started seeing usage on offensive Pokemon like Cinderace and Samurott-Hisui, who used it to almost always win mirror matches against non-Burning Bulwark counterparts and punish faster offensive Pokemon for doing their job. Its presence was a harsh negative in the metagame, and heavily restricted play due to fears of getting Burned.

Gouging Fire did exactly what it normally does to get banned: eat hits, set up, and win games. Here, it got so many more fun tools to play with! Bitter Blade was the most common choice, as STAB recovery made taking down Gouging Fire even more difficult. Dragon Darts and Glaive Rush could replace Dragon Claw or Outrage on offensive sets, while coverage moves like Bolt Strike and Glacial Lance further limited the pool of defensive Pokemon capable of stopping it.

Palafin, already a strong Pokemon, found more tools to deal with counterplay normally available to it. Bolt Strike dealt with Water types like Alomomola and Toxapex, Swords Dance greatly accelerated Palafin's ability to win games, allowing +2 Jet Punch to land OHKOs on fast Pokemon like Iron Valiant and Regieleki, and the absurd power of STAB Surging Strikes let Choice Band Palafin 2HKO reliable walls like Pecharunt and Water resists like Kommo-o and Primarina. Each set required a different answer, and Palafin's presence in the tier was not healthy.

Raging Bolt was the scariest special attacker in the format. The most common set, Nasty Plot, allowed Raging Bolt to quickly snowball out of control; +2 Thunderclap shortened the list of revenge killers able to do their job safely, while +2 Draco Meteor was capable of feats like a clean 2HKO on Ting-Lu and OHKOs on Steel-type switchins like Corviknight, Kingambit, and Gholdengo. When paired with Rain, Electro Shot became the best move in the tier, and Sun powered up all of its moves while Raging Bolt devoured the Water types its teammates couldn't break through. Coverage moves like Ice Beam and Earth Power made it even more difficult to check Raging Bolt with the few things that could handle Dragon + Electric STAB, and further compounded the power of the Choice Specs set. Raging Bolt was nearly impossible to check or switch into, and has earned its spot on the banlist of yet another Other Metagame.

The council has been discussing the tiering options around the powerful Water types, as well as Sun. We determined that the first action taken against the Water types would be a Palafin ban, as it was by far the most dangerous user of Surging Strikes and limited the pool of Water-type checks to Alomomola and Toxapex. Removing Gouging Fire and Raging Bolt would make Sun teams significantly less powerful without their two strongest abusers. Notably, all three of these were the most broken aspects of their specific categories. In the interest of fair tiering, we are going to wait for the metagame to develop some more before taking further action.

i see that ur often way to 1+1=2, overly logical and rushed when it comes to certain things being too much. showing a kingdra calc(ignoring palafin bc that mon would literally be banned regardless anyways) as a way to prove its broken is not only misleading bc u do not need to be able to hard wall everything and regen waters are def not the only ones that check kingdra, but bc just showing calcs removes all nuance. theres a reason hoopa-u is mid in ou even though nothing can live to hits from its mixed set(with the exception of ting lu lol). its slow and frail just like kingdra. kingdra has mid stats across the board and its basically only form of doing any actual real damage gets walled by wellspring. Kingdra gets revenged killed by ival, prio weak, weak outside of surging strikes, slow, frail, sun exist, fails to pick up ohkos on any resist even at +1, cant be punching glove, scarf, and choice band same time, scared of beak blast if not punching glove. Im not even gonna bring up inteleon cause that mon is ass and fodder the second it cant click surging strikes.
not saying you specifically is saying all this but this is a lot of the general comments i see about it

"what if they use choice band and just hit and run"
so like 20 other mons that are also strong but read reliant, frail, and revengekillable

"only regen waters can deal with it"
if u dont use usage stats and just build properly for what would work for the meta/ur team theres wellspring(check) dondozo, chesnaught, sinistcha, primarina(check), hoodra, corv(no punching glove), walking wake(check), kommo-o(check), and beak blast in general(no punching glove).

"you can use screens to set up with it and sweep everything"
so again like a bunch of other mons. i personally think light clay should go anyways. u can make almost anything look broken with screens.

I think you have an issue with wanting everything to have an direct answer that u just apply the right mon for and its done and thats just not realistic teambuilding at all. generally in oms ive seen u lose a game to a mon once or maybe it kills 3 of ur mons and u say in chat well maybe this should be banned. not saying your team is bad but if u dont keep mola healthy all game or get a scald burn on gambit it literally 6-0s u. without scarf trick or a scald burn most physcial setup mons just beat that team. mola is the only mon that can switch into gambit with bullet punch and it does nothing if it cant burn gambit. again not calling ur team bad but ur plan against gambit is hard switch mola and pray for burn. does that make gambit automatically broken? no, ofc not. im not saying surging strikes is defenitively not or is broken but your tendacies and the reasons u listed dont make sense.

Last part is more of a general thing i see in the community but its really annoying how yall pick and choose what mons are the cool type of broken and the lame type of broken but only hate on the community decided "lame type of broken". people love complaining about gouging fire and sun/rain(not saying it isnt broken) and then use screens + cotton guard and/or stored power sets or meow. but dont let me catch u using slop though am i right. people just gotta accept theres a lot of broken stuff rn and not pick and choose whether something is the lame or chill type of broken.

no this isnt some deep personal attack its just a game and i have no actual real life opinions on any of yall and dont plan to in the future. anyone is free to disagree or agree and i encourage discusion but same time dont be on the internet in public spaces if u dont expect anyone to ever voice disagreement against your opinions, this is in no way meant to single one person out, slander, or defamate anyone and is purely for recreational conversation. if u have any futher questions or concers contact my lawyer. do not reply to me with a wojak bc u disagree with me lol...

I'm going to follow up my post here a week into the meta with some reflections and reevaluations of my initial first impression. I'll avoid commenting on the bans yet to be implemented, I agree with all of them and kudos to the council for taking swift action.

I got to number one with this team:
1781039287712.png

:Ninetales-alola: :landorus: :zamazenta: :raging bolt: :kingambit: :ogerpon-wellspring:

Fairly standard HO abusing the most broken aspects of the metagame, several of which have already been banned so I won't dwell on them. Chilly reception on Ninetales-A to provide counterplay in weather wars, which are endemic to the ladder at the moment. Landorus-I with Freeze Dry + Earth Power + Nasty Plot + Stealth Rock provides utility and wallbreaking potential in one. It's also a great bait to Ogerpon-H, Pelipper etc. with Freeze Dry. Zamazenta was quite hard to get working. At first I tried SD + LO with Stone Edge, but it lacked the necessary coverage and the team lacked hazard control. Tidy Up + Heavy Duty Boots and Psychic Fangs provides counterplay to hazard stacking and screen teams. It's also a generally solid soft check to a lot of mons. It's quite volunerable to common balance staples, lacking the necessary power, but the utility and revenge killing potential is solid.

In my first post I highlighted :Zamazenta:, but in my experience it's been a bit underwhelming. If/once the metagame settles into an equilibrium that makes balance (or anything aside from HO) viable it might be an issue. For the moment I think it's actually quite healthy for the meta, much to my surprise. Solid mon, not overwhelming by any standards imo.

:Regieleki: is still very difficult, if not impossible, to switch into. It hits too hard and is too fast, with near perfect coverage. It will be hard to say how things will go once all of the bans are implemented, but on paper and in practice it's quite difficult to deal with whenever it gets on the field.

:Ogerpon-hearthflame: has been completely overshadowed by :ogerpon-wellspring:. Ogerpon-W should be kept on a very short leash if Jet Punch remains legal. This thing is an absolute nightmare to face. At +2 it kills Iron Valiant after SR and does more than half to Meowscarada. From a teambuilding perspective this thing is difficult to handle outside of Hydrapple/Pecharunt. Jet Punch makes it hard to revenge kill and it's usual stab combo makes it bulky answers challenging to find. I think Jet Punch is the main issue here though and it will likely be a problem on other threats if Ogerpon-W is banned.

As for :Annihilape: I think all of the points I raised on my first impression still hold. Rage Fist is broken.

Underated Mons

since im the unoffical offical unoffical tester for oms i noticed a couple mons has been super good that people just like never bring up and im going to talk about them and how they can be used. if needed credentials WIE1H was number one at some point and is currently 5th. i just always end up playing in 3 different alts per oms cause i care about playing more games than peaking if i have to wait too long.

Chesnaught @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Strength Sap
- Knock Off
- Body Press
- Spikes/Iron Defense/Roar

Very solid rn in the meta. able to check/hard counter popular things like wellspring, tusk, cinderace, rilla, and notably a lot of the surging strikes/rain centered mons. strength sap is an op move that acts as a way to drop the opps attack and continuously get to max hp. bulletproof lets u ignore very popular and common moves with pyro ball and beak blast being the best. allowing it to free switch in on corvs and utility cinderaces. on certain mons that it cant reliably switch into like meowscarada it can almost always live and strength sap to scout or 1v1 opposing mons if its already in without the need to hard switch to chesnaught. Rocky helmet provides useful chip.

Suicune @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD | 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Bold / Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind/Take Heart
- Substitute
- Strength Sap/Freeze Dry/Protect/Jungle Healing/Cotton Guard
- Scald

Fat bulky bastard thats very annoying. can be used as a late game cleaner or screens sweeper. strength sap being the best general option for recovery and weakining physical attackers. freeze dry is an option to hit opossing waters like dondozo, mola, toxapex, and mostly wellspring that would otherwise wall you. jungle healing is a nice middle ground for healing and getting rid of potential status effects that can reduce suicunes potency. cotton guard can be used to become a tank on the physical side practically leaving u unkillable without crits.

- Clangorous Soul
- Boomburst/Strength Sap/Bolt Strike/Headlong Rush/Seed Flare/Secret Sword
- Flamethrower/Torch Song/Fiery Dance/Blue Flare

Pretty decent late game cleaner that has a ton of options for moves. can vary from mixed to fully special and have a ton of different coverage options.

Porygon-Z @ Choice Scarf / Choice Specs
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Tera Starstorm
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Trick

Im sure you have seen this before in other oms. definitely one of those mons that is likely broken but very overshadowed rn. extremely hard to switch into
1781121308669.png

Deoxys-Speed @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 200 Atk / 252 SpA / 56 Spe
Naive Nature
- Close Combat/Superpower/Low Kick/Collision Course
- Psycho Boost/Pystrike/Pyshock
- Thunderbolt/Knock off/Electro Drift/Armor Cannon
- Ice Beam/Freeze Dry

Really cool mixed attacker that doesnt have to get its attack dropped with super power or can properly deal with regenvesters like glowking. a lil on the more skill side as your going to need to get some reads in but its high reward if done properly.
252 SpA Life Orb Deoxys-Speed Psystrike vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Slowking-Galar: 207-243 (52.5 - 61.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
200 Atk Life Orb Deoxys-Speed Collision Course (133.3251953125 BP) vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Ting-Lu: 239-283 (46.4 - 55%) -- 98.8% chance to 2HKO after 1 layer of Spikes and Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Life Orb Deoxys-Speed Thunderbolt vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Corviknight: 234-278 (58.6 - 69.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Deoxys-Speed Armor Cannon vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Gholdengo: 296-351 (93.9 - 111.4%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO

IDK this might be good.

- Giga Drain

Cetitan Snow Bulky Offense: :Ninetales-alola: :slowking_galar: :cetitan: :zamazenta: :alomomola: :ogerpon-wellspring:

Hit #20 with this team, feels pretty good to pilot in most games

Ninetales-Alola is standard but Chilly Reception is super useful to pivot out of opposing weather, and alongside Slowking-G, you have a ton of opportunities to set Snow.

Slowking-G is also standard, a good special wall and also your primary answer to Dondozo which can often wall this team. Alomomola is your primary physical wall and forms a strong regenerator core with Slowking-G. Parting Shot is pretty disgusting on this guy.

CETITAN IS THE GOAT. Okay, maybe an exaggeration but this thing has some absurd survivability with its HP, Snow and Veil, and Belly Drum can destroy teams pretty easily even after Snow ends. Glacial Lance is already ridiculous unboosted, but after a Belly Drum alongside Earthquake and Ice Shard it will tear through teams.

Zamazenta is pretty standard setup + removal, comboes very well with Slowking-G's future sight by catching any Dark types.

Ogerpon-W is lowkey not fair in this meta but it counters itself and other bs water moves so I had to put it on here. Jet Punch is an incredible priority option, and outside of other Wogers your primary wall is Hydrapple which has several answers on this team.
