Excellent, my favorite Pokemon Lanturn is getting out of the depths of NU. It has a great typing and its Heal Bell support is incredibly helpful for any team.

As for Drapion, I think it should be higher than that, it's the fastest bulky Taunt User in the tier and can slay Ghosts and Psychics with its offensive sets or stop them cold with its defensive set while laying down Toxic Spikes. Seriously, it's ability to get rid of Ghosts and wall Psychics for Claydol while adding to the stall with T-Spikes is great! If Qwilfish's usage continues and it becomes UU, then Drapion will become the Premier Toxic Spiker and Ghost Slayer in RU, with the only Ghost capable of of challenging it being Golurk, who is likely to drop back to RU. I'm going to predict that Drapion and Golurk are going to be fighting for Top 10 as the immense increase of Drapion will bring Golurk up as being the only Ghost type that gives Drapion + Claydol Duo trouble.

no no no no keep lanturn in nu please it's so good

Haxorus rise? Must be for countering Dnite

...except that haxorus doesn't counter dnite at all

| 9 | Terrakion | 69808 | 14.836% | 53141 | 13.546% |

Glad to see Terrakion finally break into the Top Ten. He has been eyeing that spot for ages. Scizor being number one isn't a surprise, kid has great qualities for the current meta.

Also why are people still using Gliscor, very average right now

On a related note I'm a little sad that Volcarona is just narrowly sitting outside of the top 20. The thing is a monster when used correctly and really needs more love.

Why try to correctly use something when you can just mindlessly use something else? :l

That's 5th gen OU for you :p

I'm pretty sure that the only incorrect way to use Volcarona is to use a Choice Band set, lol.

Volca lost its best counter once Exca was banned, the usage SHOULD be going up...

Haxorus is, at best, a "check" because it cannot seriously take a Dragon-type move from Dragonite AT ALL, and has to be faster than any Dragonite variant to actually hit it (thus Choice Scarf comes into play). Redefine your definition of "Counter" by using Skarmory for physical sets, and Ferrothorn for most Rain-based sets.

Mold Breaker does a Dragonite counter not make. Haxorus is popular because of either its Double Dance set (hyper offense w/ screens), or its Scarf set (because having boosted Speed and high Attack is super fantastic).

Haxorus can never switch into Dragonite in the middle of a turn because Haxorus does not even come remotely close to having the bulk to absorb an Outrage from Dragonite. Skarmory takes care of Dragonite; Adamant 44 Atk Fire Punch at +1 does not even 2HKO 252 / 232+ Skarmory, while Dragonite is phazed by Whirlwind.

On another note, Adamant Choice Band Haxorus is just excellent when coupled with Magnezone and Magneton. Outrage is an obvious and awesome STAB on Choice Band Haxorus. Earthquake and Mold Breaker break Levitating Pokemon who would be weak to Earthquake without the ability. Dual Chop breaks Substitutes and allows you to use a STAB move that doesn't trap you for 2-3 turns. Brick Break is a simple filler, but is handy against Ferrothorn. Once Haxorus gets Fire Punch, bye-bye Brick Break!

I've used Choice Scarf Haxorus before, but I much prefer the sheer power that Choice Band brings to the table. I should also mention that spamming unresisted Outrages once the foe's Steel-types are down for the count - because of Magnezone and / or Magneton - is just boss.

Yes Gliscor's usage should finally go down.
Either this or people must learn how to use it.I still don't see much people run the Toxic stall set,and when they do they use it wrong...

Presenting: A first draft of the most common speed of all pokes that get a moderate amount of ou usage (ignoring choice scarf atm):

lol thanks, i just realized that too...i didnt differentiate between standard and zen so my script overwrote the former with the latter

In January, once December's stats are out. We update the tiers once every three months.

Is it possible to figure out which Pokes will stay in OU and which ones won't in that strata that keeps going in and out of OU, based on these on the other Statistics?

Hydreigon is difficult to fit in any team and work in conjunction with the teams flow, unless the team is fast-paced/dragon-filled, as his weakness to Fighting, Dragon and equally Ice-type attacks prevent you from taking full advantage of what he has to offer. If you opt to support him through means of Gyarados, etc., generally you find yourself editing your team to suit Hydreigon to an extent where he is relied on too heavily to keep up with some of the more competitive teams out there.

I'm hoping tutors might give him some better tools (perhaps dragon dance in the future). Right now he's stuck between a rock and a hard place.
