Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Weatherless is just shy of 50%, and--after all that griping about how Rain-stall was going to dominate a post-Excadrill metagame, it appears that we're seeing the exact opposite.
Edit: Also, I'm poring over the moveset analyses--this is truly awesome. Pro tip for perusers: Ctrl-F is your friend.
Innocent criminal, I only wish the top two movesets in your detailed stats included what percentage of all movesets they are...
after looking through them and seeing one poke's "most common set" being one with an item it only holds 20% of the time, im starting to question the relevance of that part of the stats...
Also, separating natures and ev spreads makes any attempt at creating speed tiers an absolute crapshoot
God.... I haven't played competitive Pokemon in a while, but I do enjoy stats. That being said, it's cool to see good ol' Scizor at #1 and Terrakion so high....

The common item could be used with many sets with slight variations, while the uncommon item has a single set it uses, and so can be the most common moveset
Thanks for the stats guys, really interesting!
This is from NU. Now the question is, are 12.2% of Dugtrio users absolute morons or is it the default ability and they didn't change it (still a stupid move, but an understandable one)
EDIT: I checked, it is the default ability. So 12.2% of people just didn't fix it...

trust me, it won't, it's outclassed by a ton of things...
I'm liking seeing Dugtrio in OU range. With weather wars involving a ton of switching, a lot of hazards damage gets racked up, putting a bunch of things in Band Dugtrio's KO range.
This thing should have been OU from the start imo.
People didn't like Duggy because he didn't exactly KO all the new mons in OU. If you get hazards set up and have enough passive damage yes dugtrio can put the nail in the coffin in a battle.

Clearly Rain is not dominating shit. It's a significant force but not the entire metagame. In fact having played a fair bit over the past few days I'd have to say the metagame is the most diverse its been yet. Weather doesn't rule the roost nearly as much. The only thing I'm getting sick of is Volt-turning. Not that hard to beat but it's being used so much it's just plain annoying. Hopefully that'll level out after a while as people start using the (many) easy solutions to it.
I would like to point out though that not all the usage of Scizor and Rotom-W is on full Volt-Turning teams. Frequently it's just the two of them with one other turner as a scouting core, or them being used individually. You don't need to combine them for them to be effective. However the bottom line is that Scizor and Rotom-W just make great teammates. They cover eachother's weaknesses very well. It makes sense that they'd show up a lot, with them having such enormous utility and also complimenting eachother so well.
Scizor move usage: | Move | 99.9 | Bullet Punch
When you see that, you think "well that's no surprise". When I see that I think "99.9%? Who the hell ran Scizor WITHOUT Bullet Punch?"

I think you should note that a lot of teams just slap a Tyranitar on their because they just don't want an opponent to have their weather up. Ttar is by far the easiest weather inducer to fit onto a team and if you don;t want an opponent to have weather, but don't want a weather playstyles; use Tyranitar.
Your reign was quite short, Dragonite.
BST 500 ftw.
Poor Ttar, nobody likes him anymore, he's out of top5 :(
Starmie #14 - hell yeah.
Mewtwo is a boss.
Until we have a Fire/Grass pokemon expect Rotom/Scizy to be here for a while. I'm glad that the decision to ban Excadrill and Thundrus had it's effects shown clearly here. Weather is not a "OMG use it you noob" anymore.
Yes. You need to use a resisting Pokemon to even check it. That said, you can take advantage of Terrakion's 108 base Speed and outspeed it with something like Latios or Starmie. Super effective priority scares off Terrakion as well.
Terrakion is almost impossible to wall, but it still has its flaws.
| Ninetales @ Leftovers
| Drought
| 88 HP / 252 SpA / 168 Spe
| - SolarBeam
| - Fire Blast
| - Hidden Power
| - Sunny Day
Looks like New World Order's Sunny Day Ninetales caught on. Can't say I blame Drought players for this because the majority of Tyranitar and Politoed are ridiculously defensive. Speaking of which...
Code:
| Tyranitar @ Leftovers
| Sand Stream
| 252 HP / 64 SpA / 192 SpD
| Sassy
| - Ice Beam
| - Fire Blast
| - Crunch
| - Stealth Rock
As if the majority Gliscor and Ferrothorn players didn't know Tyranitar who hold LEFTOVERs have Ice Beam and Fire Blast. Always (and by the way stop using it for Dragonite, because it's not for Dragonite).
Code:
| Jirachi @ Leftovers
| Serene Grace
| 252 HP / 252 Spe
| Timid
| - Thunder
| - Substitute
| - Calm Mind
| - Water Pulse
Okay, why can't this thing run more defense EVs? Better yet, just use enough EVs to outrun neutral base 90 Pokemon or something, because I'm not seeing anything Jirachi should outrun (besides lol Lucario).
How interesting. A Thunder Wave-less version of U-turn Celebi's getting around (I suppose due to the need for a bulky, powerful attacker that isn't Pursuit bait), but seriously? 36 Spe? People might as well run Modest + 160 Spe or something, because in the end it's not a big difference.
Code:
| Nature | 44.9 | Bold |
| Nature | 24.9 | Timid |
| Nature | 24.3 | Calm |
| Nature | 5.8 | Other |
+ ------- + ---- + ------------------------------------------------------------ +
| EVs | 24.1 | ~16 HP / 252 Def / ~240 SpD |
| EVs | 20.9 | ~212 Def / ~44 SpD / 252 Spe |
| EVs | 13.7 | 252 Def / 252 SpD |
| EVs | 4.9 | ~16 HP / ~240 Def / 252 SpD |
| EVs | 3.7 | 252 HP / ~128 Def / ~128 SpD |
| EVs | 3.6 | ~240 Def / 252 SpD |
| EVs | 3.0 | 252 HP / ~100 Def / ~156 SpD |
| EVs | 2.6 | 252 HP / 252 Def |
| EVs | 2.4 | ~44 HP / 252 Def / ~212 SpD |
| EVs | 21.2 | Other |
What a relief. People finally aren't using Timid Wobb (which is fairly unproductive for a number of reasons, though I know the benefit).
