Blastoise @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Mirror Coat
- Rapid Spin
- Scald
- Rest

0- SpA Jirachi Thunder vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Blastoise: 136-162 (37.5 - 44.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

So, mirror coat will do 75% - 89,5%. Feel like it's a ok lure to jirachi, not the best but mirror coat can be usefull in others situations too

In order to Lure this Threat jiorachi I would suggest usikng a ppowersful GROUND TYPE to gaijn the SUperEffective Damage. For example, RHYPERIOR.

Does voting start today?

Yep, sorry! I'm on vacation, apologies for the delay.

:scyther: Knock Off Scyther by RottenInfernape (this normally wouldn't count though since knock scyther is standard, try n be a little more creative next time please!)
:frosmoth: (weather ball frosmoth wouuuuld be here, but since it doesn't have sunny day i can't actually include it since it's not technically a lure - sorry dunderguy! :x)
:comfey: Trick Comfey by Katy
:slowking: Fire Blast Slowking by SpookMÆN
:umbreon: Inner Focus Umbreon by PlusC (again not rly a lure, jirachi has no business trying to beat umreon anyway - please keep this in mind in future)

Week 15: Krookodile
krookodile.gif

Krookodile @ Chople Berry
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
- Taunt
Krookodile has quickly risen to the top of the meta as a capable Stealth Rock setter, thanks to its great STAB coverage, solid Speed tier, and ability to pressure and play 50/50s with common Defoggers like Rotom-W and Starmie. It's also a good emergency check to Pokemon like Cobalion, Terrakion, and Doublade. Luring it can definitely help out a lot of Pokemon!

Submissions are due by Sunday, August 9th.

bisharp.gif

Bisharp @ Shuca Berry
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Iron Head
- Low Kick
- Sucker Punch

This is a cool set i've tried a couple of times on some poorly built offense squads that struggle with smackdown krook. The idea is that Krook comes in on you to scare you out, but instead you just Low Kick at +1 and smash Krook. Smack Down into EQ won't KO from full even after rocks damage, so it's generally pretty effective. You really have to watch out for getting Knocked Off though, as that completely deletes your ability to lure it. Bish also needs the Defiant boost to KO it, but the lure is still nice to cripple/chip Krook for it's teammates. Chople, if it hasn't been knocked off, can eat it, but +1 Iron Head into Sucker KO's 100% of the time anyways, so it's at least good for weakening Krook.

252 Atk Krookodile Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Shuca Berry Bisharp: 153-180 (56.4 - 66.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 252+ Atk Bisharp Low Kick (80 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Krookodile: 336-396 (101.5 - 119.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Bisharp Low Kick (80 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Krookodile: 226-266 (68.2 - 80.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 252+ Atk Bisharp Iron Head vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Krookodile: 252-297 (76.1 - 89.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 252+ Atk Bisharp Sucker Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Krookodile: 110-130 (33.2 - 39.2%) -- 100% chance to 3HKO

Edit: forgot Chople, but generally, it'll get knocked off half the time anyways. I'll include some Iron Head calcs as well just incase. Thanks for pointing it out dunderguy

Is this damage with the Chople Berry?

Alright I've got one.

:sm/necrozma:
Necrozma @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Prism Armor
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Knock Off
- Photon Geyser
- Heat Wave
- Autotomize

I know this set seems quite similiar to my trash SKARMBLISS killer Cobalion set, but hear me out. With knock off, you can bluff physical rocks or dragon dance while crippling mons that wall special sets like Slowking. Once the opponent eventually switches in Krook, eat a knock off and procceed to dismantle the team once weakness policy is activated alongside automize (allowing it to outspeed krook)

252 Atk Krookodile Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Prism Armor Necrozma: 217-258 (64.7 - 77%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
+2 252+ SpA Necrozma Heat Wave vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Krookodile: 298-351 (90 - 106%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO

If Krookodile can be an emergency check to Terrakion, then Terrakion can also be an emergency check to Krookodile.

I present to you...
Air Balloon Megahorn Terrakion!

terrakion.gif

Terrakion @ Air Balloon
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Stone Edge
- Close Combat
- Megahorn

With the Air Balloon, Terrakion is immune to Krookodile's Earthquake, which forces Krookodile to Knock Off, which raises its attack by one because of Justified. With this in mind, Terrakion is free to switch in on this Krookodile set with the opponent at risk to potentially giving Terrakion a +3 Attack boost (or +2 if Terrakion was Intimidated), in which can easily OHKO Krookodile.

Megahorn can be switched with X-Scissor if needed.

:ss/mienshao:
Mienshao @ Choice Band/ Choice Scarf/ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- High Jump Kick
- U-Turn
- Filler
- Filler

Mienshao is an effective lure to Chople Berry Krookodile. High Jump Kick’s sheer power lets it 2HKO Krookodile with berry, while 4 Def actually makes Mienshao avoid the chance to get OHKO’d by Krook’s EQ.

As a great pivot on its own, Mienshao can easily heal off the damage taken via Regenerator and U-Turn, which can also finish off Krook (e: it doesn’t wtf) and give free recovery. There’s really nothing special to this set except HJK > Close Combat, but it’s just that people tend to overlook Krookodile’s effectiveness to checking Fighting-Types.

-1 252 Atk Mienshao High Jump Kick vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Chople Berry Krookodile: 166-196 (50.1 - 59.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 Atk Krookodile Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mienshao: 229-270 (84.5 - 99.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Krookodile Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mienshao: 229-270 (84.5 - 99.6%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Sorry guys but these don't really count as lures :x I know it's a chople krook and all but it's still a dark type, it's never switching into a fighting type or trying to deal with it, outside of in a severe pinch - that means that these don't actually lure it, so I'm going to have to reject these ;-;
Feel free to change up your submissions, though! You can either edit your current post or make a new one, up to you!

Silvally-Ghost @ Ghost Memory
Ability: RKS System
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Explosion
- U-turn
- Multi-Attack
- Swords Dance

As one of the few Pokemon that Krookodile would be tempted to actually switch into, Silvally-Ghost is capable of setting up on the switch, outspeeding, and then dealing a Big Chunk with explosion.

+1 252 Atk Silvally-Ghost Explosion vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Krookodile: 395-465 (119.3 - 140.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

magnet rise magneton

:ss/Magneton:
Magneton @ Eviolite
Ability: Analytic
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
- Volt Switch
- Magnet Rise

magnet rise :magneton: can act like a lure with using magnet rise upon the switch of krookodile and then it can beat krook 1on1 via flash cannon. usually krookodile is able to pivot into an electric-type-attack like volt switch to block it or thunderbolt and then revengekill it or scare it out, but magnet rise makes it able so magneton cant get hit by a 4x super effective stab earthquake from krook.

Bronzong @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Body Press
- Psychic
- Toxic

Bronzong often attracts dark types like Krookodile. A set full def + body press + collur berry allows bronzong to pass Krookodile because zong is not 2HKO by knock off.

252 Atk Krookodile Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Colbur Berry Bronzong: 96-114 (28.4 - 33.7%) -- 0.2% chance to 3HKO
252 Atk Krookodile Knock Off vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Bronzong: 128-152 (37.8 - 44.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

252+ Def Bronzong Body Press vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Chople Berry Krookodile: 107-126 (32.3 - 38%) -- 96.1% chance to 3HKO
252+ Def Bronzong Body Press vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Krookodile: 214-252 (64.6 - 76.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

So 2 body press with the chople berry = 96,9% - 114,1%

First time making one of these but here I go.

Lure the Lure (Chandelure) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Energy Ball
- Shadow Ball
- Fire Blast
- Trick

While this cannot switch into krook, it is able to outspeed it thanks to it having a choice scarf and threaten an OHKO with an energy ball as krookodile will tend to stay in as it naturally outspeeds all other sets of this mon. Both specs and HBD are common in this meta so while scarf does have a good chance to be common it's still unpredictable enough in my eyes. Modest sacrifices a bit of speed for more damage output, as the extra speed from the scarf already helps outspeed many other mons in the metagame.

252+ SpA Chandelure Energy Ball vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Krookodile: 312-368 (94.2 - 111.1%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO; guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock.

This set also helps deal with many other top threats in the UU tier, as it can OHKO non scarf Jirachi with fire blast, doesn't mind trick from other scarf variants, and can take 2-3 Zen headbutts from it, though flinch hax sucks. It also takes care of lead cobailion, celebi, doublade, hatterene, roserade, palossand, weakened slowking (only does 86.8% max with shadow ball), skarmory, weezing-galar, and starmie with it's movepool between shadow ball and Fire Blast. It can also trick away it's scarf when weakened to cripple defensive mons. Downsides are that it needs hazard support to avoid taking chip from stealth rock, so pairing it with hazard removal like noivern helps mitigate the issue.

Offensive Rhyperior

Rhyperior @ Weakness Policy
Adamant
252 Atk/ 252 /4 HP
AbiIity: Solid Rock
-Rock Polish
-Fire Punch / Megahorn / Rock Wrecker
-Smack Down / Rock Blast
-Earthquake

Rock Polish as they Earthquake you (~48%) then outspeed and OHKO with Earthquake.

If they knock off you can still OHKO with Megahorn.

Rock Wrecker is a fun last ditch nuke.

Smack Down makes Skarm fodder for you, but Rock Blast is useful as well.

Can play around with some bulk as well.

Will post some calcs but basically everything dies.

Special Tyranitar

Tyranitar @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 156 HP / 100 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Rock Polish
- Ice Beam
- Dark Pulse
- Fire Blast/Earth Power/Hydro Pump lol

This Tyranitar build showcases how it can lure in the Krook (thinking it's rocks with Physical dual STAB), shrug off its Intimidation, tank an Earthquake, and OHKO back with Ice Beam all in one turn.

252 Atk Krookodile Earthquake vs. 156 HP / 0 Def Tyranitar: 282-332 (74.2 - 87.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

+2 100 SpA Tyranitar Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Krookodile: 366-432 (110.5 - 130.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

What sets it apart from Rhyperior's similar set above is that it outspeeds and incinerates a few more threats after a rock polish...including Scarf Heracross most notably, and it's old nemesis, defensive Skarm.

+2 100 SpA Tyranitar Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 4+ SpD Heracross: 318-376 (105.6 - 124.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+2 100 SpA Tyranitar Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Skarmory: 450-530 (134.7 - 158.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Furthermore, it acts as nice check to SpD Jirachi and Slowking, two of Krookodile's most common teammates, given enough chip and/or flinches so it's not dead weight.

+2 100 SpA Tyranitar Dark Pulse vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Jirachi: 264-312 (65.3 - 77.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
+2 100 SpA Tyranitar Dark Pulse vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Slowking: 338-398 (85.7 - 101%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO
+2 100 SpA Tyranitar Dark Pulse vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Slowking: 168-198 (42.6 - 50.2%) -- 32.4% chance to 2HKO after sandstorm damage

You could also opt for Earth Power or Hydro in case you need to hit Tentacruel, Incin, or scarf Darm (this set also outspeeds it after R.P.) for more damage.

Jirachi @ Expert Belt
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 8 HP / 48 Def / 200 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Iron Head
- Calm Mind
- Energy Ball
- Psychic

Yep, it’s Jirachi again. Jirachi is an effective lure to Krook as it’s weak to both of its STABs, and Krook doesn’t take much from Jirachi’s usual moves like Iron Head, U-Turn, and even Aura Sphere with berry. However, with 8 HP / 48 Def ( or only 56 Def but you get less special bulk) Jirachi actually lives both Krook’s STABs from full, while Energy Ball over Thunder (the usual move) easily 2HKO’s Krook. You still hit Slowking well, just missing out on Skarmory.
252 Atk Krookodile Earthquake vs. 8 HP / 48 Def Jirachi: 288-342 (83.9 - 99.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Knock is weaker than EQ.

200 SpA Jirachi Energy Ball vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Krookodile: 210-248 (63.4 - 74.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
