The Battle Hall
The Battle Hall is a role playing challenge that uses both battling skills and decision making to make a fun, mischievous challenge for the battler. It is very versatile as the challenger can either take the safe or risky route to complete it.
Player Details:
Battle Details:
Challenge Details:
Boss Info:
Role-Playing Flow:
Battle Format:
Arena: Stadium Arena
The Stadium Arena is similar to the Tournament Arena, with all weather and seismic activity permitted. There is a lake in the middle so water moves are allowable. It is a circle of hard packed earth around 40 feet in diameter, and digging is permitted. Nature Power calls Earthquake.
Unique Ability Modifications:
Prizes:
After completing each battle, your cumulative rewards grow. Note that the match you lose is still counted as being completed. After each battle, you get 2 CC, and your Pokemon gets 3 KOC.
In addition, if you lose to Hall Matron Argenta, then you will not only gain standard rewards from that battle, but you will also gain an additional 2 CC and 3 KOC. A Hall run that reaches Hall Matron Argenta, and results in a loss, will hence be worth 40 CC and 60 KOC.
A truly blessed hall run that ends with the challenger managing to win against Hall Matron Argenta will earn an extra 12 CC and 18 KOC for the match vs Hall Matron Argenta, for a total of 50 CC and 75 KOC.
Referee Expectations:
Hall refs are expected to, in every match, play to end the run. All moves are fair game - from Perish Song to hax spam. Refs are expected to spend time on their calcs, abuse orders that opponents make, and be as ruthless as is possible.
Ref Payment:
Refs in the hall are paid in a manner similar to general refs.
Payment Formula: 3 + Standard Pay for each 1v1 (So if a battle lasts 5 rounds, you would gain 5 UC. I suggest keeping track as you go - and note that Hall is treated as a series of 1v1s, not as a single large battle.)
In the event that a ref is DQed, they are paid 3 UC for each battle they complete from start to finish.
To sign up, fill out the below form. This link has a table that contains the minimum ranks for every single Pokemon. You may only enter each Pokemon into their listed rank or a higher one.
Refs: Priority to take halls is as follows:
Following the above list, always take the earliest you can.
If you wish to become a hall ref, please talk to me on IRC or send me a VM!

The Battle Hall
The Battle Hall is a role playing challenge that uses both battling skills and decision making to make a fun, mischievous challenge for the battler. It is very versatile as the challenger can either take the safe or risky route to complete it.
Player Details:
- There aren't any major rules for the player. Just don't pass DQ and don't insult the ref.
Battle Details:
- You must battle all 18 Pokemon to win.
- Weather, including Gravity and Trick Room, is subject to change in all arenas. Sand Stream, Drizzle, Drought, and Snow Warning will all function normally.
- The challenger always orders first on Round 1.
Challenge Details:
- Each challenge will start with a table showing possible opponents pre-picked in each rank. It will be a table with Pokemon types showing each trainer's Pokemon resembling the opponents, and the challenger will start anywhere they want. Upon victory, the challenger will have the choice to move to any type on the table and start a new battle. If the challenger loses, their challenge will end.
- All ties are treated as a loss for the challenger.
- A trainer who enters will submit one of their Pokemon. A trainer may not enter this challenge twice simultaneously. If you've already taken the challenge, it's usually a good idea to wait a while until challenging the hall again. The challenge will NOT take up one of the slots of the three concurrent battle limit. This means a trainer can enter even if they are already in three battles.
- Inactivity for 2 days will result in a DQ. This counts as a loss and your challenge will end immediately, with you receiving nothing. Ref DQ will result in a subref taking over. If a subref is ever needed, the original ref will get the standard 3*[number of battles] UC. However, they will not get the additional 2 UC bonus. The subref will get the bonus along with UC awarded via the formula for the rest of the battles in the challenge that they ref.
- When battling ranks 1-3, items will be off. At rank 4, it will up to the challenger to decide on items being on or off, with Mega Evolution being set to "Off". At rank 5, items will always be on, and Mega Evolution will be set "On".
Boss Info:
- Hall Matron Argenta will use a randomly determined Pokemon from the Rank one above the one being challenged. In the event a challenger reaches Hall Matron Argenta in Rank 5, the ref may create an Arceus, with a maxxed movepool and any nature they wish, and can equip it with any Plate they wish.
Role-Playing Flow:
- A player will post in the thread asking to participate in the Battle Hall challenge and choose their rank.
- A ref will take your challenge if procedures are followed correctly.
- Claim your counters in the Prize Claiming Thread as if it were a battle.
- Wait a week, then you may rechallenge the Battle Hall. If you beat the Hall Matron, you may rechallenge without waiting a week.
Battle Format:
- Pokemon: 1v1 Singles
- DQ: 2 days for actions / 3 days for refs
- Abilities: One
- Items: Ranks 1-3: No, Rank 4: Challenger's Choice, Rank 5: Yes
- Megas: Rank 1-4: No, Rank 5: Yes
- 2 Recovers/5 Chills
- 2 Subs

Unique Ability Modifications:
- Illusion, if applicable for the Hall Ref, mimics one of the other 4 Pokemon in the given rank and type. When this is needed, you may RNG the appeared mon and ability, and do not reveal the original RNG Roll that declared the Illusion user as the opponent. When Illusion is shattered, you should post the new Pokemon data. Illusion has no effect for the challenger.
