The Everything NFL Thread - 2009

Jets pwn the Patriots 16-9. I can't believe that the Patriots didn't even attempt a comeback or a risky throw after the 2nd Quarter. Very sad for them, but great for us (Giants.)

What do you mean wrong game, you check it yourself, and what should I search for on Google? Zoidberg Chibi???

We're talking about the Super Bowl, not the NFC Championship. Besides, Giants only won that game because Favre was being Favre in overtime.

To the last few posters above - shut the fuck up and stop derailing the thread.

Back on topic, the Ravens are 21-13 up as of this post ^_^ looks like a good game though, and our offense is finally looking like something potent.

21-16, and how are we gonna stop the deep ball -.-

rivers already has like 260 yards passing, this is ridiculous.

Yeah I was just gonna edit my post but KD beat me to it. I know it's early days, but this year so far has looked like a reverse of last years team cause our usually strong D has been subpar and our usually weak offense is actually doing really well.

Chargers defense sucks.

we put up 500 on kc last week, i think you have to give credit to an offense that has a 3 headed monster running attack, 2 great wr threats, and a tight end who has finally decided to show up this year.

Lol and how many other teams have you seen put up 500 yards so far this season?

Anyway Pokey, i'm not gonna respond to anymore of your posts as all you seem to be doing is either trolling or looking for postcount ++. Unless you have something insightful to contribute I suggest that you stay away from sports arena all together.

Current teams that I'm watching:

- Steelers beating Bears 14-7. Very surprised they're not doing as well as they did in the SuperBowl. But you can't expect greatness from a crappy team. Rooting for Bears to win this one. 14-17 with Bears winning is my guess. (A touchdown + Field Goal.)

- Ravens beating Chargers 28-16. Thought the Chargers charged (pun intended) up their defenses. Looking for Ravens to beat this one. Let's hope the Ravens' offense stay offense this week.

- Broncos beating Browns 13-6. Didn't the Broncos get a bunch of new, fresh players? Don't really care who wins this one, but I thought the Broncos got a new batch of players.

- 49ers beating Seahawks 20-10. 49ers looking for a SuperBowl spot this year. Guess we gotta see any new info concerning injuries. Looking for a Seahawks win to see how good the 49ers defense is.

- Bengals beat Packers 31-24. Glad to see that the Packers don't have their stuff, considering the fact that they lost to the Bengals.

- Saints pwned Eagles 48-22. Wow, the Saints completely annihilated the Eagles. Like holy crap, this must've been a crazy game for the Saints' offense. Wonder which made more of a difference, Saints offense or Eagles Defense.

- Jets owned Patriots. Glad to see that New York's owning the NFL.

- Vikings beat Lions 27-13. Meh, not really a good game, but just watched to see how Brett Farve was doing. Can't get a lot of stats considering they played the Lions, but we'll see how Brett Farve is going to do throughout the rest of the NFL year.

- Standing by for Giants - Cowboys @ 8:20 game and looking forward to the Colts - Dolphins game on Monday, anyone else also interested?

I'm from Miami, and a big fan of the fins, but if they play like they did last week agains the Falcons, the Dolphins are in big trouble.

I'm tired of hearing about the NO saints. They've had a high flying offense ever since they got Brees. Its cool to watch the saints put up 40+ points but when its spammed on ESPN to the point where I don't even wanna watch the other highlights... yeah.

And whats with this comparing Sanchez to Namath after like 2 games lol. He'll slip up next year if he doesn't later this year. A lot of expectations...

Cool, my hometown Niners are 2-0. Let's see how this goes. Given, Seahawks got three key injuries. And the replay footage of Hasselbeck getting hit in the lower back on that tackle looks painful.

Jets upsetting Pats, wow o.O Pats look pretty shaky atm; they barely won last week too.

Brees and the Saints are pwning atm; 93 points in two games and 9 TDs for Brees already? Wow.

And whats with this comparing Sanchez to Namath after like 2 games lol.
Good. Joe Namath is the single most overrated player in the history of the National Football League.

Lol and how many other teams have you seen put up 500 yards so far this season?
It's the fucking Chiefs.

Fuck yeah, Pittsburgh loses. Happier than a pig in shit.

Dear Giants Defense,

2 years ago I sent you a letter regarding the awful play of the defense and you rewarded me with a Super Bowl, but I again require your services, please knock Tony Romo out of the game. I lead my fantasy matchup by 15 points with only Romo to go on the other team, and he has historically done well versus you guys, so please, just break him.

Love,

zerowing

what a glorious day in football, titans, steelers, and pats all lose, ravens and broncos win :D.

that being said, our defense looks really bad against the pass, we really need a playmaker besides ed reed (they just don't throw it to him now)
