Cassel starting for the Vikings. This probably doesn't make a difference, but at least he's better than Ponder.

Is there an NFL scoreboard app that is similar to the ESPN scoreboard? I won't be around on Sunday and was wondering if there was an app where I could see the play-by-play of the games.
 
I'm hoping Pryor can start against the Redskins.
Flynn isn't gonna be able to escape the defensive pressure whereas Pryor can just run away and pick up some 1st downs.

Either way, here's to RG 0-4!
 
yes, there is a distinct possibility Atlanta has no pass rush tomorrow, and with no pass rush Brady will have all day to pick apart a young secondary no matter who's catching the ball. the last two weeks, they've been playing some pretty tough defenses... Atlanta's defense is banged up and by no means tough to begin with.

on the other side, if you gameplan Julio out, Ryan will have to pretty much carry the game himself. in the end, it'll come down to red zone conversions more than anything (both teams are bottom 10 in the NFL with >50% this year in TDs/appearance, compared to last year when they were both top 10). if Gronk ends up playing, he'll instantly help New England's red zone offense, and probably makes the Patriots more of a favorite than the 50/50 coin flip I think this game is now.
 
Gronk and Amendola are both out. Really surprised to hear about Gronk. A few weeks ago there were reports that there was a decent chance he would play vs Tampa and that he would return Week 4 "for sure".

God damn, I was hoping the Vikings would choke so they would still have a chance to go 0-16 and win whatever tiebreaker there is for 1st pick so they could get Bridgewater. Looks like its another 5+ years of shit from the Vikes!

The Texans should trade a bunch of picks and Matt Schaub to the Steelers for Ben Roethlisberger.

Face it - the Steelers have too many holes along the defense and O-Line to seriously compete over the next few years. Roethlisberger takes so many hits behind the Steelers' line that he might not even live to see the Steelers become successful again. The 2014 draft is deep at quarterback, and the teams that don't get Bridgewater will have several chances at a franchise quarterback. The Steelers then have an excuse to "tank" the season and grab a high draft pick in addition to whatever they get for Roethlisberger.

On the other side, Schaub has done little to prove that he is more than a game manager. He is clearly the limiting factor on an offense that has too much talent at every position to be squandered by average QB play. Roethlisberger will instantly turn them into the #2 team in the AFC and give them a real opportunity against the Broncos and Patriots to make the Super Bowl. With an offensive line that can actually protect Ben, it'll increase the likelihood that he has a longer career and continue to be successful for the Texans for several years.

Maybe the Steelers will turn it around. They finally seem to have a good RB in Bell, and the offense has been good enough to win the last two games while the defense had been good enough to win the first two games. Getting to 10 years this year will be near-impossible, but with Ben they might get there next year with some improvement. Ben is definitely not the problem for the Steelers, but he's not exactly the solution either. It might be better for everyone if they parted ways now.
 
Matt Flynn is literally giving the Redskins the win. Threw a pick-6 and then fumbles the ball on their own side of their field which resulted in a TD. If the Raiders had decided to run on every possession of the game they'd probably do better than what they are doing right now :/
 
Cowboys could go 6-10 and still win the shitty NFC LEast. Suddenly the AFC West, AFC South and NFC North are interesting divisions and the NFC East and AFC North are shitty.

My favorite stat from today: 5 touches for Ray Rice, 5 picks for Flacco.
 
Chicago is the fakest 3-0 team there is. Should be about 1-3 right now, destined for failure until they move on from Cutler. Detroit's the real deal, the NFC North is a two-horse race between GB and DET. Chicago looks like a team headed for double-digit losses.

The entire AFC North is shit, just like I said the other day. The Bengals got blown out by Hoyer the Destroyer, who got plastered by Fluke-o's Failures, who lost to C.J. and E.J.'s Double-J-Suck-Squad, who lost to Geno's

Also I would love to hear Ron Jaworski (and his massive Flacco boner) color commentate Flacco's Five-Pick Free-For-All.

I was wrong about Washington being Jaguars-level bad (they're still bad, just not Jacksonville bad), and I probably shouldn't have had faith in the Jets' offense. But I was spot-on about Detroit blowing out Chicago and Baltimore losing.

Dalton is bad, Oakland needs Terelle Pryor (as a Michigan fan I hate saying that), and Andrew Luck has been super-underrated. Christian Ponder has also been underrated the past year-and-a-half; he's a solid game manager.

The Chiefs are 4-0 and have the best scoring defense in the NFL thanks to Seattle's pitiful performance against the Texans offense (kidding), but this is against 3/4 NFC East teams and Jacksonville. They've got a really easy schedule, too, with only 4 "tough" matchups against Denver twice, Indy, and Houston. They've got enough offense to beat just about anyone, and a defense that'll keep them close enough so that Smith won't have to win games on his own (which is good, because he can't).

The other team that might reach that bar is Indianapolis. They've had a surprisingly balanced offense that can beat anyone on the ground or in the air, and an impressively good defense through four games. If Richardson can get going and Luck continues being good enough, they can beat just about anyone. Seattle at home next week is a huge test, though, but a game they can definitely win to assert themselves as a top AFC team.
