Wow, that was em-bear-assing. Looked like they were bear-ly trying out there! Bear with us as we try to figure out who ends up winning the NFC North, which appears to be almost as bad as the NFC East!

All this simply makes for a super exciting Week 17. With playoff implications all over the place, it'll be a great way to spend the Sunday after Christmas instead of going to the gym to work off all the food I ate like I should.

Now I just have to pray the Chefs don't rest their starters.

So the NFL moved the Pats game to 1pm instead of 10 am so Peyton won't get benched... So sweet! Even they want Peyton to destroy Brees' passing record. If he does, i can safely call Brees' 2011 season as mediocre.

Not guranteed cuz OAK is a divisional opponent. And those games are always unpredictable.

All 16 scenarios for the AFC #6 seed:

It's still really weird for me to think how if the Ravens and Dolphins both win, the Ravens have the head-to-head tiebreaker against the Dolphins. But if the Chargers also win it makes a 3 way tie, which doesn't actually help the Chargers but makes a different tie-breaking procedure (goes to AFC record) that makes the Dolphins get in.

I'd be happy to see the Dolphins or Chargers get in. The Ravens getting in would be the biggest joke ever.

And before you call homer on me, the Steelers getting in would be pretty silly too. I would only be happy because they are my team, not because they deserve it (they don't).

Dolphins, Chargers, and Steelers will all win I believe, so it really comes down to whether the Ravens can win an elimination game against a team with very little to play for!

Tony Romo out for the season. Not that the Cowboys are going to win anyway, but now they're boned beyond all recognition.

Orton vs. Foles for the NFC East. Also, lol at the Bears starting Cutler. Cutler is so damn bad it's hilarious, yet Marc Trestman swears by him despite Cutler sucking the Bears' playoff hopes down the shitter. The Eagles had literally nothing to play for yesterday while the Bears were playing for the division title, and they lose. By 40. As a Lions fan, I hope they sign Cutler to a $120 million extension, just because I hate the Bears.

Also, as a Lions fan, I hope I get killed by one of Obama's predator drones before I get any hope that the Lions will accomplish anything soon.

The only team that has nothing to lose or gain next week are the Chiefs, so they're the only ones that might sit starters.

Maybe the Cowboys will run the ball more now? Oh wait, I forgot who their coach is for sec.

Romo ain't out officially, but he ain't playin'. This is bittersweet. Any week you don't get to see Romo play is a bad week. On the other hand, he doesn't have to endure the cowboys mediocrity or the stupid media backlash.

Despite the more efficient stats, this years Romo isn't as good as last year. Last year he was the scariest qb in the league. It didn't matter who he was going up against, it always felt like he could easily drive down the field and score a td. He was more reckless, which made him scarier and more dangerous. This years Romo makes less mistakes but is easier to handle. I prefer last years'. The shows he was able to create each week were unbelievable.

Pats really do not need home field advantage kd24. Home field advantage is biggest for dome teams, who are primed to play perfectly in perfect conditions, or west coast teams whose opponents usually had to travel with an uncomfortable time lag. Of any teams in the league, Patriots Packers Bears are the ones who I have always respected for being able to play the same in any conditions in any stadium, and I am sure others like Ravens probably.

Bears would have been way better off with McCown at QB. As ridiculous as it seems given his career, he was putting on a tour de force performance for them, might as well give your QB#1 more time to recoup, start him for playoffs if you have to.

How hilarious would it have been for the Falcons, with nothing to play for, to put the Niners playoff hopes in serious jeopardy?

Cards can still steal the Saints' wild card spot if the Cards win and the Saints lose to the buccaneers, I believe. Though that's not likely either.

Whelp, as high as WB's blood pressure was, mine was likely near it watching this game, unnecessarily close. And Bowman got to be scapegoat and hero at the same time. Just happy the Niners are back in.
