Flame me all you like; you are the one unwilling to use your brain MrE to accept the only proper reasoning.

Storm FTW, the Colts were the luckiest team of the regular season, so they surely were overrated, but that does not prevent the game from being doubly fraudulent.

All I have to say is: good for you SD, but enjoy it now because hopefully in the coming years they change the playoff format so that the higher-ranked wild cards would have the home game. That should've never been played in San Diego.
If you guys hate tradition so much, you should move the Cowboys to the NFC West

I can see Carolina easily winning their home game, but if the Giants win and the Panthers have to go to New York, I don't know... they're a different team on the road.

wtf Indy

I think Carolina is a well balanced team offensively, but they really need to work on their Defense if they want to win games. Shootouts are too unpredictable.

I predicted the Ravens and the Eagles winning, but I did not see the Chargers or the Cardinals upsetting their highly fancied opponents. Looks like home ground advantage (undeserved home ground advantage at that) plays a huge part in the outcome of a match, although that didn't save the Dolphins because the Ravens D monstered them.

I have a soft spot for the Ravens defense with Reed and Lewis and co, so here's hoping they go all the way.

It's fine, the Chargers will lose anyway. their Wildcard win was a fluke.

Keep in mind though, we lost in OT to the giants, but we didn't have our starting defensive tackle, nor did we have Vincent which means running took a bigger toll on us.

To all those whining about the Chargers being in the playoffs at 8-8, remember, they should be 9-7 due to a blown call at the last minute of week two basically handing the Broncos the game. If that game had been called right none of this would be an issue, and only a total idiot would argue that that call being right wouldn't have resulted in a chargers win.

That and both the chargers advanced, so they're obviously for real. Same with the cards.

Moving on to predictions

New York Football Giants over Philly
Cards over Panthers in a close game

Titans over Ravens
Chargers over Steelers

absolutely thrilled that the colts lost to the chargers.

steelers, titans, giants, panthers. 4 best teams in the NFL. now let's have at it and get a good super bowl matchup. :)

1-3 this week in predictions...ouch. Thanks to the Eagles for proving me right at least once.

Anyways, I'll just throw up my picks for the next week:

Titans vs Ravens:
Titans of course. They're rested and ready, and even though the Ravens handed the Dolphins a thrashing, it's a whole other story with the Titans.

Chargers vs Steelers:
Steelers have my pick; Big Ben should have recovered by now, and LT is still injured for the Chargers. Not to mention, once again, their mini-Iron Curtain is also well rested, while the Chargers have just been battling battle after battle to keep alive.

Eagles vs Giants:
Giants here. As much as I'd like to see an Eagles upset (lol wouldn't that be something?), the Giants are rested and likely ready to play.

Cardinals vs Panthers:
Just to be different, I'll pick the Cardinals here. After that beating they handed to Atlanta, I think they have a fair chance vs the Panthers, even though they are away (bad). Remember, the Cardinals lost by just 3 points vs the Panthers in the regular season, so there's touch and go here.

Titans vs Ravens:
Defense wins championships, and nobody really does it better then my team ^_^. That and the fact that the Titans have "slumped" at the wrong end of the season, and despite homefield advantage, I can really see the Ravens getting up.

Chargers vs Steelers:
The Chargers have impressed me against their highly fancied opponents, but against the leagues stingiest defense, I don't see the Chargers breaking them down anytime soon. Coupled with LT being out, and I see the Steel Curtain as being too tough for them, barring a brain explosion out there (which can happen to anyone admittedly)

Eagles vs Giants:
Eagles. Yeah everyone will think I'm nuts, but they are peaking at the right time of the season. Whilst the Giants still boast a formidable defense, without OC Umenyiora they aren't the same team as last season (although Tuck is still beastly). So yeah predicting Philly in a big upset

Cardinals vs Panthers:

The Cards may have beaten the Falcons, but away from their homeground against an inform team I like the Panthers chances. Whilst both the Falcons and the Panthers have really good rushing games, the Cardinals need to rely on Warner's brilliance to carry them past Carolina's improving defense. This is probably the game most likely to go either way in my opinion (that and Titans/Ravens) so don't be suprised by an upset.

i'm feeling one big upset this week, but i can't put my finger on who it is :\

ravens winning admittedly wouldn't be such a big upset though

Our franchise RB's big play was better than Minnesota's, so I'm happy :). I think we have a real chance of beating the Giants next week and even taking it to Carolina the following week. I feel real good about our chances.

Watch, we'll end up losing to the G-men next week and this post will be moot.

all the Colts had to do was get a first down and run the clock down like they do every game because they can only win by 3 points.

I just wish people would realize how garbage they are.

No one will like them when they stop winning 12 games a season.
Bandwagon fans..so irritating.

Okay, I danced around it before, but no more hiding it... you're fucking retarded. Shut up.

If you guys hate tradition so much, you should move the Cowboys to the NFC West

lol, fair enough. There's a lot of stupidity in the NFL, don't get me wrong. I'd just rather see wild card teams with better records host games. Leave the rest as it is.

Alright, even though I already posted my picks throughout the playoffs, maybe I should just do week to week since I went 2-2 this past weekend -_-.

Titans vs Ravens
As much as I hate the Ravens, I think they will surprise alot of people with this win. Ravens solid run defense will neutralize Chris Johnson, which will force Kerry Collins to throw more often. When this happens, he will get out of his comfort zone and begin to make mistakes. I'm predicting at least 2 picks this weekend, one being by Ed Reed. I also think the Ravens will be able to mount a decent pass rush and perhaps cause a fumble or two. Ravens run game will put up enough yards to win the game. Although I'm worried about Flacco's horrid completion percentage should he have to make more throws...we'll see. Ravens win a close one here.

Chargers vs Steelers
As biased as I might be toward my team, I still have to go with them here. The defense finally got the week of rest it needed (perhaps 2 weeks if you count the Browns game lol) after that terrible stretch it had to endure. They'll be back to their old selves, which will continuously drop Sproles for losses. Gates, even though he caught alot of passes this week, still won't be nearly as good as he could be, making him much less of a threat against Pittsburgh's overwhelmingly top ranked Pass defense. Rivers will also toss a couple of picks. Steelers offense will be able to get back to the running they should have been doing all season, with Parker having a big day. Steelers win big here.

Panthers vs Cardinals
Though the Cards surprised me with their win last week, I just don't have any faith in them on the east coast. Their run defense will not be good enough to stop DeAngelo Williams, and Delhomme will also have lots of opportunities to move the ball through the air. Warner will probably throw the ball 55 times, but it just won't be enough to outscore the Panthers' far more balanced offense. Panthers win big here.

Giants vs Eagles
My toughest pick of the week. Though I'd much rather see the Eagles win this, I don't see them being able to stop Brandon Jacobs. They were fortunate that Minnesota had zero passing attack, because they still allowed Taylor and Peterson to combine for lots of yardage on the ground. Against the Giants, who have a decent receiving corps and a better QB than the Vikings had, the Eagles will not be able to contain. The Giants will also mount a fairly good pass rush, forcing McNabb to hurry and make some mistakes. Giants win a close one here.

Keep in mind though, we lost in OT to the giants, but we didn't have our starting defensive tackle, nor did we have Vincent which means running took a bigger toll on us.

I'm not necessarily talking about the Giants game though... I realize beating a team in the regular season means nothing. The Panthers, and all of the other NFC South teams for that matter, really did not play well on the road at all (unless playing the Lions).

Throwing in my picks for next week...

Titans vs. Ravens
-This is mainly just a gut feeling I have. I think that the Ravens will pull out a very slim victory.

Chargers vs. Steelers
-My obvious pick (Steelers fan)....This game is going to be very close, but the Steelers will pull away in the 4th quarter.

Panthers vs. Cardinals
-I doubt that the Cardinals will be able to do the same they did last weekend.

Giants vs. Eagles
-Another gut feeling, this is going to be another very close game. The Eagles will be pumped and ready for this game after beating the Vikings.

Eh, might as well... Ravens / Steelers / Panthers / Eagles.

Some of this is just preference actually... I'm not a big Titans fan, never have been, but I like the Ravens, so I just hope for that mostly. They will all likely be very close games... except Panthers / Cardinals. That is likely to be fairly one-sided.
