Alright, even though I already posted my picks throughout the playoffs, maybe I should just do week to week since I went 2-2 this past weekend -_-.
Titans vs Ravens
As much as I hate the Ravens, I think they will surprise alot of people with this win. Ravens solid run defense will neutralize Chris Johnson, which will force Kerry Collins to throw more often. When this happens, he will get out of his comfort zone and begin to make mistakes. I'm predicting at least 2 picks this weekend, one being by Ed Reed. I also think the Ravens will be able to mount a decent pass rush and perhaps cause a fumble or two. Ravens run game will put up enough yards to win the game. Although I'm worried about Flacco's horrid completion percentage should he have to make more throws...we'll see. Ravens win a close one here.
Chargers vs Steelers
As biased as I might be toward my team, I still have to go with them here. The defense finally got the week of rest it needed (perhaps 2 weeks if you count the Browns game lol) after that terrible stretch it had to endure. They'll be back to their old selves, which will continuously drop Sproles for losses. Gates, even though he caught alot of passes this week, still won't be nearly as good as he could be, making him much less of a threat against Pittsburgh's overwhelmingly top ranked Pass defense. Rivers will also toss a couple of picks. Steelers offense will be able to get back to the running they should have been doing all season, with Parker having a big day. Steelers win big here.
Panthers vs Cardinals
Though the Cards surprised me with their win last week, I just don't have any faith in them on the east coast. Their run defense will not be good enough to stop DeAngelo Williams, and Delhomme will also have lots of opportunities to move the ball through the air. Warner will probably throw the ball 55 times, but it just won't be enough to outscore the Panthers' far more balanced offense. Panthers win big here.
Giants vs Eagles
My toughest pick of the week. Though I'd much rather see the Eagles win this, I don't see them being able to stop Brandon Jacobs. They were fortunate that Minnesota had zero passing attack, because they still allowed Taylor and Peterson to combine for lots of yardage on the ground. Against the Giants, who have a decent receiving corps and a better QB than the Vikings had, the Eagles will not be able to contain. The Giants will also mount a fairly good pass rush, forcing McNabb to hurry and make some mistakes. Giants win a close one here.
