OMFG that game was absolutely sick, barring the ending.

Why did the Spurs have to win, and how the fuck did Nash hit that three? That was an absolutely incredible shot.

Bah, dumb Amare fouling out like that. He should have attempted a jump shot or a pass. It was an incredible game however!

I don't really support the Suns, and watch them. But I love Nash and Shaq.. and I just despise the Spurs, for being old, boring, and just.. gay.

But I give props to the Spurs for being fucking clutch, and disciplined.

The Mavericks nearly every drive did something incredibly wrong, and what is most incredible about that game is that we were still winning 52-40 at halftime despite that. In the third game, New Orleans stopped shooting poorly, so of course we lost since we never stopped playing so discombobulated. What the hell was that game.

The T being called on Dirk and the other guy was ridiculous. The guy STARTED IT, Dirk never did anything really, and then the other guy touches his fucking face...and both get a T? Really? (Remember - with that T against just New Orleans we have a higher, albeit still slim, chance to come back)

I'm so glad my Hornets are playing effectively this year, and so far in the playoffs. Mavericks, you always find a way to fail don't you?

Anyways, McGrady.. I love you and all.. but seriously, win a series.

Utah and Spurs are probably the most boring teams to watch.. I don't want to see them in another series, thanks.

There was definately some extremely questionable referee actions there...I swear, they were one of the primary reasons the Suns lost, in addition to fucking Ginobili and even damn Duncan, who somehow shot a 3.

Yes, once again, Spurs prove they can cheat and get away with it. Hopefully not next game.

the mavs got owned. also the rockets played like shit they better step it up. they were also the only team to lose at home.

also jackal and goofball posted late predictions but I guess i'll let them in. but that's it, no more.

I'm a bit nervous about the Toronto/Orlando series. As much as I'd love to disagree with about three quarters of the media, I don't think the Raptors will be able to 'turn it on', as soon as the series starts. They've struggled hitting jump shots, and 3's over the last two months (although they remain second in the league..). Bosh might average 30/10 per game, but Ford/Caldreon combination will have to control the game to stand a chance.

Hedo/Rashard will be a huge issue for Toronto. Parker is a solid defender, even against taller competition, but he'll only be able to cover one.. and is by no means a lock down defender. If Bosh is trying to help with Lewis, he might get into foul trouble.. likewise if he tries to play on Howard more. (of course, the exact same thing can be said in reverse.. with Lewis/Howard not being able to stop Bosh..)

Magic in a competitive seven game series of young, athletic teams. Although, if the Raptors have a chance to close it out at home, I wouldn't count them out.

Good start to the season yesterday. ^_^

Spurs 'not deserving to win' because they 'are boring' is stupid. If winning is stupid, then so be it. Simply put, every time it's Spurs vs Suns in playoffs, the main reason is cause Mike D gets outcoached by Pop in every sense of the meaning. Plus, there's a reason why people say Spurs are fundamental, the real way you play. So shut your bitching because you want to watch entertainment and not basketball, go pick up wrestling if you want to see your 'favs always win'.

Amen.

Hate the Spurs (Warriors and Raptors fan), but this is the truth. I would take a slow, predictable, but unstoppable style over the fast paced run, run, run. Championships before anything else, people.

I'll also agree with him here. Yeah, I hate the Spurs because of how they play unexciting, very defensive basketball, but saying that they 'don't deserve to win' is a false statement. They also draw low ratings when they are not playing an exciting team like the Suns, but again, you can't say they don't deserve to win. That's why in the last 8 years, before the playoffs start, many of the top experts pick the Spurs to win it all.

I just learned from an ESPN article that Kevin Pittsnogle played for the D League in Austin this year O_O How did his career go so wrongly?

I never thought I would hear that name again. West Virginia in the house, haha!! Last time I heard of him was on the NBA draft two years ago. It was the only draft that I have ever watched, because both Pittsnogle and Mike Gansey, the team captain for WVU, were projected to get drafted, and the ESPN NBA draft analysis projected that Gansey was going to go 15th overall, and Pittsnogle early in 2nd round. Neither one of them got drafted, and at the end of the draft, where they listed the top players available, both Gansey and PIttsnogle were at the top 2. Gansey unfortunately got the STAF infection and grew too weak to be able to play. Pittsnogle did get a 2 year contract with the Celtics after the draft, but obviously, he was cut shortly afterwards.

Sixers are the only team I was afraid of in the first round and they proved it tonight.

Saunders better let loose on the team, can't lose at home in the playoffs.

bleh. nuggets lost agaisnt lakers.
suns lost to spur at last second. duncan with his 3 pointer....:pirate:

oh well, series is 7 matches

go caps

i'm fucking embarrased right now

honestly this team needs to be blown up; the "big three" needs to be dismantled and arenas needs to take his one-man circlejerk somewhere else

fuck this shit

/more rational

Here's the thing.

The Wizards are like a bad pokemon team.

On paper, it looks really solid, and there are a lot of pokemon teams in Stark that look solid on paper.

But when it actually comes time to play, you find out that it...just...doesn't...work on a consistent basis. There's little synergy, there's not enough balance, etc, etc - you don't have a clear weakness to anything in particular, but you just find yourself losing a lot of 2-0 and 1-0 matches.

That's the Wizards.

Too many jump-shooters, not enough defense and rebounding, not enough strategy to overcome this.

In short, they are an inferior version of the Nuggets.

The Wizards and Cavaliers are both bad teams. Good teams do not have negative point differentials, ever, I am sorry. The Cavaliers are not beating anyone in the second round.

The only way the Cavaliers would face the Magic is if the Magic upset the Pistons (or steamrolled a 76ers team, who knows) and the Cavaliers the Celtics, so I highly doubt that will come to fruition :P

Mavericks versus Hornets and Suns versus Spurs tonight, so it should be another great day of basketball :)

Yup. Suns ftw.
What u think about the shaq-marion,banks trade? Paying off for suns?
Definetly not for heat. Coz marions injured. So is wade.

F

That is the format? 1v8 v 4v5 and 2v7 v 3v6!

I see that the Shaq trade paid off in the Suns not having the toughness to close out a win that should have been theirs over and over.
