lol at all the above posts trying to make ATL sound better
for anybody who watched the game last night, you should be scared out of your mind last night of facing the celts in the first round, here ill explain:
The entire 4th quarter our lineup was
Sam Cassell
Tony Allen
James Posey
Glen Davis
PJ Brown
and ATL played their starters for most of the 4th quarter, subbing in with 7-8 min left, or playing the whole quarter, so for the majority of their lineup for the 4th quarter was their starting 5.
The score was tied at the beginning of the 4th quarter, ATL went on a small run, but then celts did like a 10-0 run with their BENCH. Our bench shut down the starters for a very long time, and sam cassell was getting hot on the other end. So our bench outplayed the ATL starters, therefor the statement i said in the above post.
Whats even scarier, two of our top 3 bench players were not in that lineup. Our best bench player is Leon Powe, then Eddie House & James Posey are the other nice bench players. Glen davis will barely see the court come the playoffs, and sam/PJ will be situational players to come in if we want to slow the game down or something like that. Tony Allen im not sure about, cause he's so inconsistent.
also to unceunce, its hard to compare player to player with the celtics, mostly because the biggest strength of our team is "team defense" which is something ATL doesnt even have close to boston's. Sure the individual matchups are decent, but it wont be a game of individual matchups at all when you face boston.
If i was an ATL fan, i'd be expecting a sweep of blowouts coming up.
