@Senfroz, trade over a Hippopotas egg and name it Christmas. It must solo Byron without the use of Earthquake to evolve. Upon evolution it's only attacking moves can be Earthquake and Ice Fang(male)/Thunder Fang(female).

Edit: If you have a problem with the word Christmas, it must be named JewKiller.

EditEdit: I'm not entirely sure you're asking for a team. Hmmm.

@Senfroz: You must use a male Burmy named Terror. It cannot evolve until you determine its Hidden Power type without any tools, formulas, etc, and after evolving it cannot use any moves with a base power above 80.

@Senfroz, use Drifloon and name it Hindenburg. It can only evolve to Drifblim if it KOs all of Volkner's or Candice's Pokemon with Explosion (take your pick on the gym leader). Once it learns Explosion, it cannot forget it.

@senfroz
bring a Cranidos named "GlasKannin." It can only evolve inside of the 8th gym. It must know at least one special attacking moves at all times and it must be the only move of that type he(/she/it) knows.
Note: this was a challenge that went unused. I was too lazy to re-type.

@senfroz

take the riolu that riley gives you. if it is male, name it Fabio. it must be purely physical and may not know the move sword dance, E-Speed, or any move that is of 90 BP or higher. if it is female, name it Madeleine. it must be purely special. you may not SR for the riolu.

Awhile back, someone gave me an Eevee for my Leaf Green challenge. I ended up with a lonely nature, which meant a Jolteon. Unfortunately, neither Jolteon nor Eevee can learn Trick, as was specified in the challenge. Ergo, I need another move to replace Trick.

senfroz: Since you don't have a starter yet, I give you a Turtwig. It must, from the moment you catch your second Pokemon, be the lowest-levelled member of your party. To let it evolve to Grotle, you must discard 3 TMs that cannot be bought in the Veilstone Department Store, and to evolve it to Torterra, you must discard 5.

@doomvendingmachine:
sorry for the delay. I did mean gym leaders.

I assumed that is also what detroitlolcat meant, it certainly sounded like it. I however, did mean leaders. If he changed his to Pokemon in a gym and not leaders Pokemon--which it must have been, originally, or he would not have whined at me for overlapping with his--and you want to go back to the Mawile soloing Tate and Liza (which shouldn't be too bad 2 on 1 just because of the amazing type resistance) instead of half-ish of Wallace feel free.

Small update:

I beat Brock and my Rival above Cerulean City. I have a Squirtle, Mankey, Beedrill, and Rattata so far. Squirtle will stay that way until I get to at least Vermillion because I need to go back to Pallet Town in order to check its happiness (Daisy). Beedrill is SO WEAK MY GOD.

Spr_3f_007.png
Squirtle (Nicknamed Potter)
Level 16, Quiet nature
Tackle/Tail Whip/Bubble/Water Gun

I have no idea what its happiness is.

Spr_3f_056.png
Mankey (Nicknamed ROFLCHOPPR (full name wouldn't fit))
Level 15, Hasty nature
Scratch/Rock Tomb/Low Kick/Karate Chop

Critted Brock's Geodude with Low Kick and Brock's Onix with SCRATCH (I then proceeded to let Mankey die afterwards). Gave it Rock Tomb so I finally have something for Flying-type Pokemon.

Spr_3f_015.png
Beedrill (Nicknamed 9.9)
Level 15, Jolly Nature
Poison Sting/String Shot/Focus Energy/Fury Attack

Basically just using Focus Energy + Fury Attack right now. I can't wait for Twineedle so I can finally get rid of String Shot...

Spr_4h_019_m.png
Rattata (Nicknamed Ratz)
Level 15, Jolly Nature
Tackle/Tail Whip/Quick Attack/Hyper Fang

I love Hyper Fang. Good thing Shadow Ball is physical in this game, probably gonna give it that and maybe a HM.

Off to catch an Abra and HOPEFULLY it's female.

Stantler - Female, named BambisMom that must kill every fire pokemon a trainer sends out, and if it doesn't, it can't be used until it kills another fire pokemon of a trainer.

Slowpoke - Has to have two physical moves before it evolves and once it evolves it has to keep those moves

Wooper - Must solo Jasmine's Steelix to evolve.
If it is male, it cannot learn any water moves.
If it is female, it cannot learn any ground moves.
If its ability is Damp, it must learn Yawn.
If its ability is Water Absorb, it must learn Toxic.

Chikorita - Must solo Falkner as a Chikorita to evolve to Bayleef, Pryce as a Bayleef to evolve to Meganium, and your rival's Cyndaquil/Quilava/Typhlosion every time you fight him. No move restriction, and nickname it whatever you want.

Magmar - No Special attacks. It also must learn and keep Iron Tail as soon as you defeat Jasmine. In addition, it has to successfully land a hit with Iron Tail against Bruno's Onix.

Get the Eevee that Bills gives you and name it Flare. To evolve into Flareon it must know three stat up/down moves and one attacking move and must solo two of rival's pokemon. Moveset can change after.

Well, this is gonna be fun!

^Agreed with King Emerald. Some things do no really need to be discussed, imho. But anyways, back on topic.

Charizard. Damned Charizard. I get 2HKO'd by any self respecting Gyarados, and my only move that actually does decent damage is Aerial Ace, which is a 3HKO providing i don't roll too low on the RNG. Any help? Zard isn't exactly very TM-able. :(

Airslash bro. heart scale it up and get Air Slash on Zard so you can start pwning with a 75 BP move with STAB and 30% flinch rate (not to mention with 100 base speed and 100+ base special attack). since you probably have flamethrower already, just get some things to round out coverage like EQ, and perhaps D-claw from the move relearner or D-pulse for the awesome Dragon/Ground/Fire combo.

Rodan is doing another race with me. Both of us were alloted 1 pokemon of our own choosing for this one, no legendaries or starters for that choice though.

MY TEAM:

Pinsir named WEEVIL can not learn tms or hms
castform named AL must know rain dance, and use it in all gym battles
chimecho named DING-DONG must have a +def nature
blaziken named KURRGAN must take out all of roxannes gym trainers before combusken, must defeat all of wallaces gym trainers to evolve to blaziken
cradily named AUDREY must only know one attack move until it evolves, then you can have 2
Zangoose.

HIS TEAM:

um... I forget what I assigned him. Here's what I remember.

SURSKIT named "(don't remember)". Must not have a STAB attack above Bubble.
SLAKOTH named "HerpaDerpa". Must not know Return or Hyper Beam, and may be Vigoroth for exactly one level.
HARYAMA (his choice).
MAGNEMITE that cannot evolved named "FUCKMAGNET", and can't have non-attacking moves.
LUVDISK named "(don't remember)" that cannot know surf.
SHELGON that must be male and cannot evolve into Salamence, and may not have physical moves. Named "IWbtG".

EDIT: Remembered another restriction on Shelgon

FINALLY I DID IT!!!

I've just won against Lance and therefore I finished the challenge. Btw can I change my pokes now to what I want? Like evolving gastly or teaching water moves to quagsire, etc.

Team:

Nhanhoso, Lv. 43 (Female Quagsire)
Serious, Wide Lens (for Blizzard)

-Headbutt
-Amnesia
-EQ
-Blizzard

The MVP! This thing was awesome. It was my best deffensive pokemon and, with the help of some hyper potions, it defeated all of Lance's Dragonites.

Braseiro, Lv. 48 (Male Flareon)
Lonely, Charcoal

-Fire Fang
-Quick Attack
-Fire Blast
-Bite

Wow! It went from being my most useless poke (when it only had quick attack and bite at Lv. 40) to being the second best. It destroyed Will and Koga almost by itself (excluding slowbro and muk).

Gasosa, Lv. 43 (Female Gastly)
Modest, Choice Scarf (Gasosa had both zoom lens and scarf when battling the E4 but against Lance I wanted him to outspeed and OHKO Gyarados and revenge kill zard so I gave him scarf)

-Hypnosis
-Shadow Ball
-Thunderbolt
-Dream Eater

It was the second best till the E4 but here it disappointed a bit. It failed to OHKO Gyarados with T-bolt (but paralyzed it, got parahax and managed to 2HKO without being hit) and failed to revenge kill Lv. 49 nite when it had less than 20% Hp left which almost cost me the match.

Bolinha, Lv. 44 (Male Qwilfish)
Bashful, Shell Bell (it had scarf till Lance)

-Revenge
-Waterfall
-Brine
-Rollout

Humm, what should I say about bolinha? Well, it almost soloed Bruno with waterfall thanks to scarf and swagger boost and revenge killed Karen's Gengar when all my remaining pokes would be easily finished by it. It wasn't a great poke but it sure helped against fighting types (it also almost soloed Chuck).

Reltnats, Lv. 38 (Female Stantler)
Careful, King's Rock

-Confuse Ray
-Zen Headbutt (Astonish)
-Hypnosis
-Stomp

Flinch and confusion is awesome! But it was too hard to train and only learned zen headbutt on the final battle against my rival. It helped by soloing Machamp and Intimidating Lance's Nites.

Folhinhas, Lv. 46 (Male Meganium)
Bold, Miracle Seed

-Light Screen
-Synthesis
-Frenzy Plant (it had magical leaf till E4)
-Safeguard

Who the hell said starters are strong??? It was hard to train, it wasn't an offensive threat to anything but geodudes, gravelers, golems and onixes and it couldn't even do its defensive job well!!! All in all, the LVP of this Challenge.

So I'll start my platinum challenge in a few days.

Edit: Wow, this was my bigger post ever...

While I'm working on my Emerald challenge, my brother (not on Smogon, call him Loxel) wants to try this in his Ruby game. No trades and they must have nicknames.

Loxel, take a Koffing named Buster. It must always know Selfdestruct or Explosion, and must use it against every gym leader from Flannery on, against Steven, and any time someone watches you play for more then 5 seconds (yes, I will be watching you play a lot :P). Also, it can't use any Poison moves.

Loxel, take a Wailmer. It must have Rollout all the time and in order to evolve, it must finish a battle with any trainer (minimum 3 Pokemon) with only one use of Rollout. As a Wailord, in addition to Rollout, it must have Water Spout.

Loxel, take a Seedot named Woody. Its only Grass move must be Bullet Seed. Before it can evolve into Nuzleaf it must hit Brawly's Makuhita 5 times with one use of Bullet Seed. Before it can evolve into Shiftry it must do the same to Magma Admin Tabitha's Numel (No retrying. There are 3 opportunities to do this.)

Loxel, take Torchic as your starter. If you want to evolve it, it cannot know STAB moves with higher than 60 Base Power, nor non-STAB moves higher than 90 Base Power (once evolved, it can never learn said moves either). It cannot learn Flying type moves. If it's male, nickname it Tweety. If it's female, nickname it Granny.

Loxel catch a wingul name it flappy. Its gotta solo a team magma (not grunt) member without water moves before evolving.

@Loxel:Bring a Camerupt named PurdyMouth (it must be female). It may know Fire moves or Ground Moves but never both at the same time. Also, it must solo Steven's Metagross (I realize this was oddly specific concerning limitations)

Loxel, take a Ralts. It must be caught where Wally get's his, in that same patch of grass. It must be Kirlia when it gets to Lv. 30, and then it can only evolve to Gardevoir if you've reached Ever Grande. Also, must know Psychic asap.

EDIT: Damn, Vratix you post too fast!
