Challenge The Scramble Challange

Not open for further replies.
Smiley, you take an Oddish. You can only evolve it to Belossom, after which it must forget any and all poison type moves.

If it's male call it Belle, female call it Bella.

@Phadunk: Take an Onix named "SolidSnake". It may only evolve after KOing 5 Pokemon with either Bind or Bind damage. After it evolves, it may not learn TM moves or level-up moves.

@Smiley: Take a Poliwag named "Frogger". Its ability must be Water Absorb. It must evolve into Poliwhirl immediately after learning Body Slam and into Poliwrath immediately after learning Hydro Pump. It must keep Hypnosis, Body Slam, and Hydro Pump forever.

EDIT: Just to be sure I've got it right:

Jigglypuff (Sprocket): Nicknamed "April" (Sprocket said Fluffypuff, but this IS Team Ninja Squirtle). Its moveset at Level 29 must be Sing, Pound, Rollout, and Rest. It must keep those moves forever, but you may replace Pound or Rollout with Double-Edge.

crystal team
sunflora(sunny) evolve sunkern inside the olivine city gym before jasmine returns to it.

Totodile.(needs nickname) It must remain a Totodile until your Sunkern evolves, and only becomes Feraligatr when you get to Blackthorn.

Red Gyarados.(Red smurf/smurfette)teach it Waterfall and Whirlpool once you have the HMs for them, cannot know any other Water moves.

need 3 more pokemon. would like 2 more before goldenrod

still need more pokemon

@Smiley, take a Gastly named Nebulak. No retrictions as a Gastly, but if it evolves to Haunter, it may only know Ghost and Poison type moves. You said no trades, but if the oppurtunity comes and you evolve it to Gengar, it can only know one attacking move. Will you keep it as a Gastly, or sacrifice versatility for power?

@Hydrattler, take a Heracross named Satoshi. It may only use moves that Ash's Heracross have used, according to Bulbapedia. You cannot edit Bulbapedia to get different moves, though there is a chance that Heracross will get a new move or two in the next couple weeks.

@Hydrattler: Take a Mareep. It must evolve into Flaaffy at Level 20 and into Ampharos at Level 35. It must learn Thunderpunch at some point and keep it forever. Its other moves must be the other two elemental punches and either Hidden Power, Zap Cannon, or Curse. It must keep these moves forever and must have learned them by the time you beat Clair.

Dummy, you know my moveset forces his Drowzee to know the three elemental punches and dynamic punch already, right? Seems a bit cruel to make him have 2 almost identical Pokemon.

@Smiley, take a Doduo with Early Bird and name it Kiwi. It must always know Rest and Pursuit, and it must solo a gym leader not named Erika without using items before evolving. It may hold an item for the battle, but no HP/status restore or stat boosting items.

Maybe this is better (Just a suggestion!)

Take a Drowzee, it can only learn and use attacking moves that have either -Punch or -Headbutt in the move name, there is no limitation to non-damaging moves.

I don't get it.. I give you guys 200+ Pokemon to choose from.. to make it really interesting, fun, etc.. and I get replies like Rattatas and Onixs [I liked the other suggestions btw]. Isn't the point of this thread to make games uniquely twisted to enjoy it on a different level?

I thought I gave you guys really good options and a canvas to start with.

Rule 6: If you don't like a pokemon, and refuse to use it, when you post the challange you HAVE to say what it is and to not let it on. If someone posts a pokemon and you don't like it, and you never said no to it, too bad.

So a Turtwig, Phanpy, and a Swinub?

Lol.. damn guys. Grounds. and btw, i dont plan on doing any of those posts.. sorry.

Maybe scramble isn't for you?

Sorry, forgot about that. Here's a different one:

Take a Mareep named Bo Peep. It must learn Thunderpunch by some method and keep it forever. Its other three moves must be any combination of Curse, Zap Cannon, Thunderbolt, Toxic, Iron Tail, Protect, Dynamicpunch, Return, and Hidden Power, and it must know those three by the time you beat Clair. It must keep them forever.

@Phadunk: Definitely, because KOing 5 Pokemon with Bind is something all players do. And no one ever teaches Steelix level-up moves or TM moves. Exactly.

You want creative? Fine. SolidSnake may never exceed level 40 and it must always be the highest-leveled Pokemon in your party. Also, if it faints to a physical attack three times you must release it and catch a new Onix. There, you happy now?

Phadunk doesn't like the Pokemon he's been given? Who Phadunk it?

By the way, anyone have an opening on their Scramble team? I promise it will be a creative, highly underused Pokemon, and it will be fun.

so if my Onix has to be released.. do i release my other pokemon as well? since Onix has to be the highest level pokemon on my team.. i would have to get lower level pokemon, right? or no? hmm.

i'm just going to say you're up S*** creek since best case scenario, you're fighting the E4 with a level 40 onix and 5 other level 39s.

should've just obeyed rule 6.

I'm feeling somewhat sorry for you, since that requirement would basically make your game unplayable. I'll drop that requirement and extend his level to 42 (it IS the answer to life, the universe, and everything, after all). Still, like Paradox said, you're probably done for. Good luck...

I'd also like to take this opportunity to repost my Scramble for XD: Gale of Darkness. I currently have a Flareon (only one Fire move) and a Mawile (Sing to sleep next Pokemon I catch, then drop Sing for a TM move). Only major rule is NO UNPURIFIABLE POKEMON.

hey, i'm going to do this on my fire red version. I cannot trade from outside of the game and (if possible) actually want something fun to do, I don't really want something normal ('standard') or ridiculously hard.

Obi/Tasha the Growlithe
-If its ability is Intimidate, it must know Substitute (via move tutor, no Overheat). If its ability is Flash Fire, it must know Overheat (no substitute).
-If it has a plus speed nature, it must know Agility. If it has a plus attack nature, it must know Extremespeed as Arcanine. If it has a plus defense nature, it must know Double Edge (move tutor). If it has a plus special defense nature, it must know Mimic (move tutor again). If it has a plus special attack nature, it must know Hidden Power. If it has a neutral nature, it must know Dig. I won't put any restrictions on moves you can't know there.
@WOW lol, that is out of the ordinary. That must've taken a lot of time to write up :\

Poliwag NN: Fogger
Its ability must be Water Absorb. It must evolve into Poliwhirl immediately after learning Body Slam and into Poliwrath immediately after learning Hydro Pump. It must keep Hypnosis, Body Slam, and Hydro Pump forever.
@Ahaha! Arcanine + Water Absorb :P

Nebulak the Ghastly
No retrictions as a Gastly, but if it evolves to Haunter, it may only know Ghost and Poison type moves. If the opportunity comes and you evolve it to Gengar, it can only know one attacking move.
@ oo I reckon I'll probably go for haunter :\

Kiwi the Doduo
It must always know Rest and Pursuit, and it must solo a gym leader not named Erika without using items before evolving. It may hold an item for the battle, but no HP/status restore or stat boosting items.
@ That sounds hard xD.

Smiley, i gave you an Oddish on the last page, though if you don't want it, fine.
sorry! >< didn't see that ><
Belle/Bella the Oddish
Can only evolve it to Belossom. To evolve, it must forget any and all poison type moves.

Need one more (not normal starter please xD)

I'm planning on doing another Pearl challenge after I'm done with my current one. No trades, and none of the Pokes I just used if you don't mind (Turtwig, Bibarel, Heracross, Medicham, Purugly, Abomasnow)

@Phadunk, I'd like you to give me one, please. Show us some of the creativity that would make this thread a better place. If I have 5 pokes, and Phadunk hasn't given me one yet, please refrain from giving me my sixth until Phadunk has at least responded.

@Chateau, take the first Bronzor you catch. If its ability is Heat Proof, it must know Sunny Day and Solar Beam. If its ability is Levitate, it must know Rain Dance. Name it Vain, or if it is shiny, LOLOLOLOL.

@Chateau: Take a Cranidos named Reptar. It may not evolve until it KOs 5 Pokemon with the help of Mold Breaker. Its moveset for the Elite Four must be identical to one of the Smogon Rampardos ones. It must solo either Aaron or Flint or you cannot use it for Lucian and Cynthia until all your other Pokemon have fainted.

If you can't get Cranidos, change it to Gible and keep all the requirements the same (including nickname). Obviously, ignore the Mold Breaker one.

@Phadunk I take back the rattata then -_-
(who in their right minds uses rattata unless its in nuzlocke or as a HM slave [or unless they want a hard challenge]:S)
