Challenge The Scramble Challenge - Mark 2

Two things I should mention then, to ease your confusion. Firstly, The miltank healing restriction is out of battle, only if you find that your way is easier, go ahead.

Secondly, the type dis/advantage restriction applies when Miltank is on the field, like the example above.

Does that answer any questions?

Alright, time for my first scramble challange. What could possibly go wrong?

Version: Crystal
Trade?: No
Difficulty: Easy (yes I'm a wuss ._.)
Anything else?: No legendaries please.

Current Team:

@drakon136: You get Wuss the Hoothoot. Its only restriction is that in every major battle in which it decides to participate (gym, E4, or rival), it can only use one move against one Pokémon. Upon doing so, it must switch out because it's such a wuss.

@drakon136 You Get Tasty the Magikarp
@drakon136 You Get Tasty the Magikarp
Tasty's afraid of being eaten by people, so to avoid looking meaty and delicous, he must always keep Splash as one of his moves. Tasty refuses to reside in the box, so he must be in your party at all times. Tasty is jelous of other Gyarados' because they never feared getting eaten ,so as a Gyarados, he must solo every Gyarados encountered. He also must solo (and maybe capture) the Red Gyarados at the Lake of Rage. In fear of being replaced, you may not use the Red Gyarados in any battle if you capture him.

[19:07] <BiGGiE> take a cyndaquil. name it Smoke. it must keep smokescreen. must solo 10 trainers to evolve, and 10 more to evolve again. it can erase smoke if you survive a SE attack and OHKO the opposing mon 3 times.

drakon136 & dinosaurdan both get Draw-2 the <Odd Egg Pokemon>.

Draw-2 can never evolve & can never leave the party. Each time you use an item while Draw-2 is in the party, you must do one of the following:

  • IN-BATTLE ONLY: Use another 2 items in the next 2 turns.
  • OUTSIDE OF BATTLE ONLY: Throw 2 Items out immediately
  • OUTSIDE OF BATTLE ONLY: Buy 2 Items immediately
Take Unknown the Unown.
This Unown, having been stuck in a weird ruin all its life, has so far lived in partial obscurity (to understate it a little). It wants to get out and be known! He would love that. As such, it must solo one Pokemon from every Gym Leader / Elite Four Battle not currently being competely soloed by some other Pokemon.

Sorry; the one word or phrase I see that sticks to my mind tends to be the same word off of which I base my "challenges."

Don't Worry, I won't tell. You said it was for them, and I respect that. I'm just saying its clever.

Also, if I'm right, then if ever you ask for a challenge, I know what I'm doing. I love those sorts of challenges.
One question though. What is an MEP?

A MEP is a Mono Electric Pachirisu. Just think of how annoying it is to have a Pachirisu who can only use Electric type attacks for the whole game.

FlipTimeX2 is based on Tsukuyomi, the Yu-Gi-Oh! card. It has 1100 attack and 1400 defense. When it is summoned, it flips 1 card facedown. It has more defense than attack, hence why it thinks of itself as a defensive 'mon. Also when it is summoned, it returns to its owner's hand at the end of the turn.

*Didn't think anyone would spell Tsukuyomi correctly*

I stand corrected, apparenlty people can spell better than i can. lol

So heres my Scramble:

Version: Crystal
Trade:No
Difficulty: Medium

Current team:
Ok, DDan, Redew, Take a Miltank. Name her TwoSides.

You see, TwoSides loves the world, and all its creatures. It wants to share this love with you, and your team, but sadly, like most of my challenges, there is a catch.
You see, TwoSides hates the world, and all its creatures. It wants to spread this hate with you, and your team, but luckily, like most of my challenges, there is a catch.

See the catch? No-one knows why, but This poor Miltank flips between opinions so frequently that it's up to you two to help her. Everything about her personality can change in seconds.

Just after you catch her, flip a coin. This will reflect on the mood she starts in. If heads, she loves the world, If tails, she hates it. Then follow the restrictions for the one it currently is.

LOVE:
Miltank believes that no-one should be inflicted with the burden of pain, Therefore She must learn Milk Drink, and if another team member is in yellow or red health while she has green health, she must Heal them out of battle with Milk Drink.

Miltank has never been one to take sides. In fact, she loves the opponent. Therefore She must learn and use Attract on every pokemon she faces

Miltank believes the best way to help her partners is to let them fight who they are strong against. Therefore If, while she is in battle, your opponent switches in a pokemon that is at a type disadvantage with one of your other members, She must be switched out to that pokemon.

HATE:
Miltank believes that everyone should be inflicted with the burden of pain, Therefore She must learn Milk Drink, But never use it, and if another team member is in yellow or red health while she has green health, you must not heal them at all. Not with items, not with Miltank, not at all.

Miltank has always been one to take sides. In fact, she hates her opponent. Therefore, She must learn and use A status move on every pokemon she faces

Miltank believes the best way to hurt her partners is to let them fight who they are weak against. Therefore If, while she is in battle, your opponent switches in a pokemon that is at a type advantage with one of your other members, She must be switched out to that pokemon.

See, she is a bit hard to use. And like I said, her mood can change. Her Trigger for change? If she faints.

TL;DrLing
Take a Miltank, Named Twosides.
Flip a coin after catching. If heads, follow the love restrictions, if tails, follow the hate restrictions
If She faints, switch restrictions

Basically, Her movepool must Be:
Milk Drink
Attract
A Status Move (not Attract)
Anything.
Have fun :)

dinosaurdan, take Vocalist the Lapras. Vocalist loves to sing, so it must always know Sing and Perish Song. Vocalist wants to spread its music throughout the world, so it must use one of the above moves in every battle it's in, and it can't attack until it has used said move. Vocalist is disappointed in Pokemon that gain Soundproof in Gen III, so it may not battle any Pokemon that have Soundproof in Gen III onwards. Eventually, Vocalist finds out that Team Rocket has taken over the Goldenrod Radio Tower, so it must solo every Executive in the Radio Tower.
Good luck!

Okay, take Gambles the Abra from the Goldenrod City Game Corner.
Having lived in the Game Corner all its life, it has developed an affinity for randomness and luck.

So, whenever it attacks, flip 2 coins.
HH: Pick whatever move you like
HT: Pick any move from the left column
TH: Pick any move from the right column
TT: Use your lowest BP move (yes, this includes 0BP moves like Teleport)

Also, whenever it has the opportunity to evolve, flip another 2 coins.
HH: Evolve!
HT: No evolution. You may try again at the very next opportunity Gambles has to evolve.
TH: No evolution. You may not try again until Gambles has soloed 7 wild Pokemon or 2 trainer-owned Pokemon, even if there is an earlier opportunity to evolve.
TT: No evolution. You may not try again until Gambles has gained 2 levels, even if there is an earlier opportunity to evolve.

Finally, roll a 6-sided die.
1: Solo 2 of Karen's Pokemon
2: Solo 3 of Will's Pokemon
3: Solo 4 of Lance's Pokemon
4: Solo Clair
5: Solo Bruno
6: Solo Cianwood Gym
^ If any of the above conflict with another challange, change the result for that roll to 'Roll again'

Good luck; Have fun!

drakon136 & dinosaurdan both get Draw-2 the <Odd Egg Pokemon>.

ADDED RESTRCTION FOR DINOSAURDAN ONLY

Draw-2 must solo a Gym Leader.
Alright Dinosaur, you want a crystal mon eh? Take Habanero the Chikorita.

Habanero is hot! And is under the impression that it is part fire type so it must learn any fire-type move (AKA, you have to teach it sunny day)

To evolve she must hold a Fire stone and advance five levels (the easiest firestone to find is with schoolboy Alan, after a phone call) She may evolve to meganium whenever she pleases.

Whenever Habanero is burnt he must afflict the enemy with some kind of status effect.

And you can't get solar beam. Also, you must solo chuck and Bruno.

All right D-dan, you've been pretty patient getting your Scramblemons, so you get Patient the Ledyba. As it's name implies, this Ledyba is very patient in battle and won't use direct-attack moves for the first three turns. Also, if it's not too hard, Ledyba wants to learn all its level-up moves before it evolves (last one is Double-Edge @ Lvl 50). If that's too hard, just reach Lvl 36, like a starter. Solo Will because it thinks the type advantage is all that matters in a battle.
Good luck, have fun

Chapters:

Prelouge:
Okay, finally got my Scramblemons set after waiting over a week, and making sure my Crystal saves still. Looking for my GBA player for my Gamecube, looking for the controller, and looking for my GBC in case I needed to continue the challenge somewhere other than my house. Being heartbroken about resetting my save Crystal game. Already missing my Magneton nicknamed Mustard. Finally starting my challenge.
Chapter One: (unfinished)
Started the game, grabbed my Chikorita (Habanero) and set out to the vast world within.

dinosaurdan, take Vocalist the Lapras. Vocalist loves to sing, so it must always know Sing and Perish Song. reserving for dinosaurdan.
(btw you know you can just update your original post and link to it right?)

Geez, it sure is difficult to give not-insane challanges.

Have fun you two. The merger between #scramble & #orangeislands is still being considered, btw. Opinions?

Chapter 1 of my Red Solo Frenzy is up!

By the way, I changed the title of it to Solo-Saturated Red Scramble, or SRS for short.

I know there's a lot to be worked on, but the thing that sticks out in my mind is the flow of it. Personally, I think it's because of the way I write. You see me go on describing things and then say I "went to the Gym without much trouble." With this in mind, perhaps if I toned down on the descriptiveness, focused more on the actions, or just did bullet-point updates, or even just a Team Summary telling how well the soloes went, how they are otherwise, etc. instead of prose. What do you guys think?

Reserving for redew I'll show you for overtaking me

You wanted a HM slave so bad you can have a HM Slave (Idc that you don't want one now)
Okay pal you can have have Chanstats the Krabby you must fill out his MP with 4HMs ASAP you cannot use non HM moves in battle until you do this
Everytime you solo a GLMP with HMs you can delete a HM
You can evolve after Whirl Islands but whenever another one of your mons use a HM out of battle in the Whirl Islandsnyou must solo that many E4 Pokemon and one last thing
Chanstats is always under the effects of Taunt or Torment you can choose

Alright Redew, here you go.

Take AllNatural the (whatever grass type you want). I'm so nice, aren't I?

AllNatural is a technophobe. It/She/He HATES machinery.

So no potions. Easy.
No TM/HMs. Easy.
No Pokemon Centre visits until it has fainted AND it is out of PP. Easy.
You must solo ALL steel-type Pokemon you happen across. AllNatural HATES machinery and MUST DISPOSE OF IT AHAHAHAHAHA *coff* sorry. Easy.
You must never fight any grass-types; AllNatural doesn't want to hurt nature. Easy. :D
No moves with base power above 60; AllNatural thinks that such strength is unnatural. Easy.
No Steel-type moves; so unnatural. Easy.
No evolution; AllNatural is a Creationist. Easy.
Rejecting this is so unnatural; if you reject this you may not use potions on two of your other team members. Easy, just don't reject.
Level 51 is a tool <3
That sounds rude to me. Here, have another restriction:
AllNatural will not stand for indiscriminate capture and hurt of Pokemon: every time you defeat a non-steel type wild Pokemon, toss out P500 worth of items.

I've given you 9 (+1) easy restrictions; this Challange should be easy! *snigger*

Good Luck; Have Fun! *snigger again*

btw, can someone start an insane-difficulty Scramble? I'd like to make my 51st post a Challange issued.

Solo Frenzy Scramble

Okay, I have been very busy & unable to keep up with scrambling, but with some spare time coming up post-exams, I'd figure I might try one of these "Solo Frenzy" Scrambles. You know, those scrambles where you go around basically soloing shit? Yeah, those things.

  • Fire Red Version (Post-Game covered)
  • No Trades
  • Medium Difficulty
  • 5 Pokemon + 1 Starter Pokemon
  • I reserve the right to reject challenges
  • All challenges are first come, first serve
  • No Placeholders/Reservations - I can tell if someone has done it through edit time
  • Keep it simple please - I don't want to have to remember a bajillion restrictions & randomly break one in forgetfulness
  • This is a Solo-Frenzy Scramble - Pokemon need to solo shit & all major battles need to be soloed. These are the major battles
Rival #1
Rival #2
Brock
Super Nerd Miguel (The Fossil Hoarder)
Rival #3
The Nugget Bridge
Misty
Rival #4
Lt. Surge
Erika

Black Belt Koichi (Dojo Guy)
Giovanni #1
Rival #5
Rival #6
Giovanni #2
Koga
Sabrina
Blaine
Giovanni #3
Rival #7
Lorelei #1
Bruno #1
Agatha #1
Lance #1
Rival #8
Lorelei #2

Bruno #2
Agatha #2
Lance #2
Rival #9

  • Each Pokemon given must solo 5 of those encounters (No more, no less), and no solo overlapping.
  • No stupid shit.
That's about it, I guess. Hit me.
  • Dugtrio (ThreeFaced) - Things to solo: Lt. Surge (No Items), Erika (STAB only), Giovanni #1, Giovanni #2, & Koga. Must have Sand Veil, know Toxic, & cannot face mons with a Type Advantage against it after Erika (luigiowns)
  • Pikachu (Septimo) - Things to solo: Misty, Blaine, Rival #7, Lorelei #1, and Lorelei #2. (Pika25)
  • Tentacool (Man-o-War) - Things to solo: Blackbelt Koichi, Sabrina, Rival #6, Bruno #1, Bruno #2 (Naix)
  • TBA
  • TBA
  • TBA

Ok It's A Random, Take Threefaced the Dugtrio!

See, the Problem with having three bodies is having three minds. Therefore, each wants a restriction each, so...

Head One is the arrogant, Cocky type, never one to back down from a challenge.
Therefore Dugtrio must Solo Erika only using STAB moves.

Head Two is the Scared, Pessimistic type, hiding away from everything but the easiest challenges.
Therefore Dugtrio You must Solo Lt. Surge Without the use of items, and, after Erika, never face Pokemon with a type disadvantage.

Head Three is the Sly, Secretive type, preferring treachery and deceit.
Therefore Dugtrio must have Sand Veil as his ability, Solo Koga, and learn Toxic.

However, there is one thing all three heads agree on, and that is they must be
better than the Ultimate Ground Trainer
Therefore Dugtrio must Solo Giovanni #1 and #2, as I've already nicked 3 Gym Leaders.

Is this good enough?

Yeah, that's alright...Erika... >_>
Nevertheless, accepted.

Random, take Pikachu the Septaphiliac. It believes that 7 is its lucky number, so its favorite numbers have at least one of the following criteria:
  • After as many even divisions by 2 as possible, has a remainder of 7 upon further division by 8 (e.g. 15);
  • Has a remainder of 7 upon division by 9 (e.g. 25, its Pokédex number);
  • Is a multiple of 7 (e.g. 35);
  • Contains a 7 (e.g. 75).
It may only use moves with at least one of the following equal to one of its favorite numbers:
  • Base power;
  • Base pp (by this I mean no pp ups applied);
  • Base accuracy (treat --% as 100, which satisfies none of the criteria).
It may not evolve unless its level is equal to one of its favorite numbers, and it may not accept an item in battle unless its quantity is one of its favorite numbers. Also, it must solo your seventh gym leader (which should be Blaine if you do the gyms in the intended order), your seventh overall boss (Misty), your seventh rival fight, and Lorelei twice.
Okay, to facilitate the mathematical complication involved in this challenge, I will provide these spoiler tags, one of which contains the levels between 1 and 100 at which Septaphiliac (which won't even fit due to the ten character limit) can evolve and the other of which contains the moves that it is allowed to use.
7, 14, 15, 16, 17, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30, 31, 34, 35, 37, 39, 42, 43, 46, 47, 49, 52, 55, 56, 57, 60, 61, 62, 63, 67, 70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, 84, 87, 88, 91, 92, 94, 95, 97, 98
Thundershock, Tail Whip, Quick Attack, Double Team, Slam, Thunderbolt, Agility, Thunder, Light Screen, Hidden Power, Iron Tail, Dig, Brick Break, Shock Wave, Façade, Secret Power, Attract, Strength, Flash, Rock Smash, Mega Kick, Double-edge
Whether you view these or not is up to you; I'm just saying, I had quite a time with those criteria, especially the first one.

E: Shortcut, you may nickname it Seven or Septimo if you wish. KS' brother also has this nickname choice.

Reserving for Random and Skyshayde. Will edit later today when I have ideas and I'm not focused on coming up with hilarious cameos for my next Ruby update.
