We've been linked a ridiculous amount with Veloso. £20m or something for an average central midfielder when we've got Anderson, Scholes, Carrick, Hargreaves and Fletcher which is £54m worth of players considering Scholes and Fletch came through the academy.

Ronaldinho was another like Ronaldo with Liverpool. We had agreed to a deal with his team, a price was set and agreed to. Later on, our chairman were fucking with the price and eventually Barca decided to swoop in with an offer that got him instead of Man United signing him. I think he may have already been signed, as I know people were celebrating the night before to see the news the next day claiming Ronaldinho had signed with Barca.

If you're talking about Liverpool, yes, we won the two games, 1-0 first hand, 2-0 second, though, honestly, by the way we played, they were fair victories. Luisão's header was a bit late, on 85th minute or so, but the free kick was rehearsed, so it was intended for him to score that header, and the 2-0 score was just built sooner, that amazing goal from Simão didn't leave Reina a chance, and that late goal just put the confirmations on the table. :p

No, Benfica knocked Utd out in 2005 of the group stages when Ronaldo swore at the Benfica fans. Benfica knocked Liverpool out of the second round (that shut them up) in 2006, not the group stages.

Man Utd however, in poll position for the league. Fuck Arsenal's pretend youngsters when you've got Rooney, Anderson, Nani, Tevez and Ronaldo all under 24. In next 5-10 years at most we'll have overtaken your league titles
