2-0 to the redmen! Everyone did their bit, supporters, players and rafa (the holy trinity, as shankly once said). 2 amazing late goals... let's go all the way =]

SBC out of interest, what team do you support?

edit: nvm, looked through thread. seems you are our resident manc ;l

It seems that I am a Utd fan

I saw the match yesterday though, from what I heard Materazzi was unlucky but you should really see the amount of shit he gets away with. Its quite obvious the only way Kuyt will score is a deflection but Gerrard's goal was pretty decent.

I think if Utd take any lead from Lyon, we'll go through easily.

I've met O Shea in real life (night before the Charity Shield match against Chelsea), he's a quite nice chap actually, although obviously I hate him when he steps onto the pitch against us. Hate with your heart - respect with your head.

I would love to watch the Utd. game unfortunately I'm at work tonight I want to see if they will play as good as they did on the weekend. They absoloutely demolished Arsenal, I would've loved to see more goals go in against the Gooners still..

On another note my football team are ever reaching towards the confrence 6 points clear, game in hand 12 games left. Our bigger games come towards the end so I'm sure we'll have nailed it this time, Don't want to lose in the playoffs like last time.

Go the Poppies!

Liverpool won 2-0! Finally something to cheer about after their utterly depressing form (wtf 2-1 loss to Barnsley) recently. Hopefully they'll be able prevent inter from scoring any more than one goal when playing away.

AC milan will be playing around 3 hours from now. I'm hoping they can take the gunners down, but then again, i have a feeling arsenal can win it despite the 4-0 thrashing by ManU.

That is good, Gerrard got me some points for our works Dream Team competition. I am shocked on Liverpool's victory. They never let Inter play, and when the Inter got the ball they would give it away too easily.

I am about to watch United Vs. Lyon then watch the highlights for Arsenal Vs. AC Milan.

Looks like we're going to lose 1-0. Ah well, as long as it's not 2-0 I fancy us at Old Trafford.

Actually, FUCKIN GET IN TEVEZ!

Feel abit gutted for Celtic, losing 3-2 to Barca at home, Gotta beat Barca by 2 clear goals unless they get a equaliser, alas way Barca are playing I doubt it

I support Celtic aswell as my local team, however in my younger days it was Utd. all they way, so you could say I still have a soft spot for them.

Was fucking nervous in the last minutes of Arsenal vs AC Milan, lucky for us we got them at the San Siro next :). I am also a Chelsea fan (can't decide between the two :D) but I haven't been upto date with their campaign this year for whatever reason.

Fuck, the mancs got a draw =[

saw the end of Arsenal/AC, Arsenal dominating but couldn't finish off their moves. Going to the San Siro with no advantage in the CL (AC are shit at home in the league iirc lol), Arsenal are going to be underdogs, but I still think they'll pull off a win if they play well.

Have a soft spot for Barca, when they beat us at Anfield last year (but we still went through on away goals) they sang YNWA with us.

We're favourites to win. Who could blame us? Lyon needs to score away from home while they do not concede to Man United, (this is a europeon game, 75,000 screaming on one of the best attacking sides in the game, good luck, Lyon).

I am sick of Celtic and their ventures in the Champions League. The sooner Barcalona put them out of their misery, the better.

Arsenal were thrashing Milan. However, they must play well against a side that's very experienced and incredibily dangerous at home. That won't be easy, taking into account Milan would like to retain their title.

In Football everything its possible, anyway I will place my bets on Milan, its a really solid team and in italy i think it will beat Arsenal very easily, and Fenerbache looks like it could be a black horse

black horse

You mean Dark Horse, right?

Last year, I said Lyon were the Dark Horse's of the Champions League. Very hard to do that this year as their team hasn't got any better. Let's not forget the task in hand, beating Man United away from home.

For this season, I would have to say Roma. If the Itialian side can do the buisness at Madrid (Roma already have the advantage), then they will be one of the favourites to win this years CL.

There is no way Roma will be any more favourites than the English clubs (assuming they get through). And even if they were, tbh they're not of the same standard. The mancs hammering them last year showed that.

Is that a reason to look past them? I would say no.

If they beat Real Madrid (something you may have missed), then their reputation will grow in the competition as a favourite (who were my Dark Horses to begin with). I'm sure they will be noted if they're to beat Real.

Enough about brit football, luck was on SL Benfica's side three days ago, after winning 1-0 home against 1. FC Nuremberg, SL Benfica was losing 2-0 away which would eliminate them from the UEFA cup, until minute 88, when, after a lucky as hell pass, Cardozo scores and reduces to 2-1, which would put SL Benfica in the lead (2-2 with the away goal advantage), minute 90, DiMaria scores again, which made the final result 2-2, SL Benfica passed with an aggregated score of 3-2, 2 goals in 2 minutes, lucky as hell.

Discuss.

I need to learn more about the Portugese league. I wonder who United will steal next from Lisbon.

Good win for United.

Get well soon, Eduardo.

Two goals in two minutes isn't necessarily lucky.

Speaking of the UEFA cup, Bolton knocking out Atletico Madrid was suprising. Bayern Munich will win it though.
