Do you see the dancer spin clockwise or counter clockwise?

Apparently if you see the dancer spin clockwise you use the right brain more and if you see the dancer spin counter clockwise you use the left brain more.

I found this particularly cool because of the image because it's sort of amusing focusing to make the dancer go counterclockwise then clockwise and such

I see it spin clockwise, which apparently means I use the right side of the brain more, however I seem to match the discription of someone who uses the lift side more and I'm right handed.

I swear it changed directions when I was looking at it...or at least after I scrolled down to read the other posts. First time was counter-clockwise

edit: ok what the fuck i opened up another browser window and looked at this thread and they were going in different directions. HELP.

at first it was going Counter clockwise and then it changed directions o.o

edit: Dan Dan me have the same problem, and yay 400 posts. it changes directions for me randomly one second it goes clockwise the next counter clockwise.

I thought the right side was the "logical" one, not the left.

Well, I saw clockwise, but noticed the counter-clockwise after reading Tangerine's question.

EDT: Shit, she doesn't spin counter-clockwise anymore.

I think this test says more about the functioning of your computer than the functioning of your brain. Looking at the comments, I think computer slowdown makes it skip frames and so it starts looking counter-clockwise. :toast:

My friend who saw this a while back said if you look slightly above the image, it should change direction. I tried it and eventually it did. Does that mean I'm in control of my brain or that I'm just really bored?

The easiest way to make her change direction is to look at her feet and imagine it as a pendulum (so it swings the other way)

I cant see this going counter-clockwise at all, and I tried a few things that were described to see it.

Why does it say that most of us would see it going counter-clockwise when obviously, everyone here saw it going clockwise at least at first.

edit : ok Ive finally done it, by focusing outside the image. Once you've done it though, it is pretty easy to make her 'switch' directions, which I could eventually do at will. I can even stop her from spinning but making her do a pendulum like movement that doesnt allow her to make a full spin.

Saw this a while ago. At first, I saw it spinning counter-clockwise, then later it kept alternating from time to time. Now I see it going clockwise most of the time when I first stare at it and usually have a hard time getting it to spin counter-clockwise.

no posts about how you can see her nipple in one frame?
counter clockwise for me before i start thingking about it, assuming were looking down on her

EDIT; everytime i look at this thread it's different
1st time, clockwise

looked at it again to see decos post; counterclockwise

now it's clockwise again after checking m0nks post

wth guys

It keeps swapping for me. I've seen this 'illusion' before and I think if you focus on her standing foot you can make it change... Maybe.

Argh.. I cant make it go counter clockwise..

This is quite frustrating.

Wait her leg is lower when it passes in front (clockwise) it doesnt make sense for it to be the other way..

Have a nice day.

When I look at the reflexion I see it moving counter-clockwise, but I still see her going clockwise. If I cover the upper half I can achieve it.

i can only see her spinning counter-clockwise, I've tried everything mentioned and still can't see it going clockwise

edit: i figured out how to make it change directions for me. what i did was stare at the foot that is on the ground and pictured it being in the opposite position every rotation. it took a while but eventually she switched directions

haha, clockwise for me. It took me a second to see her spin counter-clockwise, lol. But now I can see it both ways.
