If you have any questions regarding the leaderboard PM/VM me. If you have completed an achievement, written a smog article, or written a doubles RMT, VM/PM me.

Welcome to the Doubles Leaderboard thread! Here is where we keep track of and reward people for positive contributions to the tier. The leaderboard is split into two sections: the overall leaderboard, where all points for the generation are recorded, and the monthly leaderboard which only factors in points earned in the current month. This way, even if you're new you still have a chance to be high up on the leaderboard if you're actively contributing that month. There are many ways to earn leaderboard points, such as completing achievements, playing in minitours, posting well on the forums, or being active in IRC, so even if you feel like you aren't particularly strong in one area, dont fret, as you can still find many ways to help contribute to the tier.

This leadeboard isn't just for recording purposes though. Prizes can be awarded based on peoples contributions to the tier, such as status in #doubles or being featured in the Doubles Hub. It can even be used to consider potential badge candidates for all you pixel lovers out there. With the start of a new generation, there's no better time to get involved with Doubles. Achievements

A new addition to the leaderboard, there are now achievements listed that give you an opportunity to earn points by completing them. There are two catagories of achivements: one-time achievements which can only be done once by a user, and stackable achievements, which let you complete it multiple times and continue to earn points. PM me if you complete the requirements for a listed achievement with proof of its completion to be awarded points. If I think you're doing something dishonest to get achievements easier though (like forfeiting a bunch to get a certain amount of battles played) then I will deny you the points. List of achievements (more to be added):

• 
  First Taste (one-time) - If you've been thinking about playing a few Doubles games but never bothered to try it, this is the achievement for you! Earn this by playing 20 games on either XY Doubles ladder on a given alt. If you provide me with a screenshot of this then you can earn 2 points. In addition, if you were recommended to the tier by someone else, they can also earn a point as well.
• 
  Climbing Higher (continuous) - For the more dedicated ladderers, this is awarded after playing 100 battles on either XY Doubles ladder on a given alt. If you provide me with a screenshot of this then you can earn 5 points.
• 
  Top Dog (continuous) - Think you're the best of the best? Time to prove it! This achievement is earned by hitting first place on the leaderboard. Can be earned by playing on either the Pokebank Smogon Doubles or the Smogon Doubles ladder. If you provide me with a screenshot of this then you can earn 6 points.
• 
  Icebreaker (one-time) - Doubles has a close and friendly community on IRC (we don't bite, I swear). Unfortunately, not many people take advantage of this to get to know us more and have great discussions on the Doubles metagame. This achievement aims to encourage new users to join us :) All you have to do to earn it is swing by #doubles and chat. If it's your first time chatting there (or you're just new to the community, which will be decided at my discretion), you will earn 1 point.
• 
  Patent Pending (continuous) - Ever had a good idea for a project but weren't sure how to implement it? If so, this is the achievement for you! To earn this, simply message me with your idea and the details of it. If it is greenlighted and used, you'll receive 3 points. These ideas must be unique however, so don't just PM me saying we need a Doubles version of an existing forum project and expect to get points (although input is always welcome).
• 
  3x Your Mass (continuous) - One of the things that keeps a forum running is the projects within it. It often takes plenty of work to host a tournament or forum project, so we've decided such work should be recognized. To earn this achievement, you must host a Doubles tournament or forum project (for forum projects get approval from a Doubles leader first). For doing so, you can earn 2-3 points (exact totals can be decided at my discretion).
• 
  Refining Fire (continuous) - With the new XY metagame come many teams from players looking to improve. However, they often don't get any rates at all, and when they do the raters are usually not experienced in the metagame. However, if you perform a quality rate then you are eligible for points. Simply PM Pocket with your rate and he will decide if it was a quality one. If it was, look to earn 1 point. Continuously earning this achievement might even lead to consideration for the Team Rater badge! Rates can be from any time since XY started (October 12th) so don't feel as though they need to be new to be accepted.
  
• 
  Making History (continous) - In the flood of Doubles RMTs there are few good ones that stand out. Among those, there are even fewer worthy of being in the RMT archive. The RMT archive is a place where the evolution of the tier can be documented. Creating a team that gets put there often takes a good amount of skill and dedication, and those who do should be rewarded. Thus, if you create a Doubles team that gets put in the XY RMT Archive, you can earn 5 points.
• 
  Hat Trick (continuous)- While the ladder is all well and good, playing in a minitour usually exposes you to players of greater skill than if you just played around on the ladder. If you are able to win just one, then you're already in pretty good shape. However, if you manage to win 3 then you're likely a higher caliber of player that deserves to be recognized as such. Because of this, 5 points will be awarded to any user who PMs me with 3 Minitours that they won.
• 
  Mover and Shaker (continuous) - One of the main parts of a tier is suspect voting. It is here where capable players get a chance to influence the direction of a tier through deciding what is added/removed to the Doubles tier. Qualifying for a suspect test requires a good amount of effort and skill. As such, 2 points will be given to anyone who qualifies for a suspect test vote (suspect voting will also count towards a Tiering Contributor badge)
• 
  Flyswatter (continuous) - Right now XY is up and running on PS pretty well. However, PS isn't perfect. There may be some Doubles moves and mechanics which aren't implemented properly and need to be fixed. Oftentimes Singles players aren't particularly interested in these mechanics and don't notice these flaws. That's where you come in. Simply PM/VM me if you report a Doubles bug fix with a link to the post and you can be rewarded 1 point.
• 
  Raconteur (continuous) - With the advent of the replay, the art of making a good warstory is all but lost here on Smogon. While replays are more convenient to view however, warstories cannot be beaten for their insight into the mind of the player, view into a tier, and their entertainment value. We'd like to encourage the making of good warstories by offering 2-4 points for them. Simply PM/VM me with a link to your warstory and if it's good I'll give you points.   Ace Reporter (one-time) - One of the most important things to the life of a tier is having new players try it out. This is especially true for Doubles given the fact that it's a newer tier. However, the only way for people to try a tier out is if they know about it, making Smogon articles in The Smog very important. For writing Doubles articles in 3 separate issues of The Smog, you can earn 4 points. Just PM/VM me a link to all 3 of them for verification purposes.
• 
  Taking the Long Way (continuous) - For some of us, simply playing with a standard team brings no satisfaction. Having a challenge for yourself or trying out new set is much more rewarding when laddering. If this sounds like you, then this is probably your kind of achievement. First, PM me and I will tell you what the ladder challenge is for the month. Then, take a screenshot proving completion as well as the team you used to do it and look to earn 3 points after sending those to me.
• 
  Spreading the Knowledge (continuous) - Many new players look to guides published on Smogon's main page as a source of introductory knowledge to the world of competitive battling. These guides are not only important, but few are written and they require plenty of effort on the part of the writer as well as knowledge in the field at hand. Thus, if you write one and have it put onsite, expect something in the way of 8-10 points for your labors.

  Ponzi Scheme (continuous) - The best way to grow Doubles is to actively recruit people. Like any other tier, the users are the lifeblood of Doubles. Getting a user from a casual spectator to an active contributor to the tier can be hard work though, so those that help people make this transition deserve recognition. If someone got you to join Doubles and you end up with at least five points on the overall leaderboard, PM me their name. They get 1 point. You get the satisfaction of helping a friend.
• 
  Master of Ceremonies (continuous) - Smogcasts are a great way for peope to gain more knowledge on what's going on in a tier. However, it's not as easy as the participants make it look. Doing well in a live cast requires plenty of dedication, metagame knowledge, and charisma. Thus, appearing in a Doubles-related Smogcast will earn you 2-5 points. Earning this achievement multiple times could also lead to consideration for the Smogon Media badge.
• 
  Picasso in Training (one-time) - Art makes everything prettier, including our forum. While anyone could pick up a pencil, not any user can make a visual masterpiece for the site. For making 5 art pieces for Doubles projects or articles, you get 3 points on top of those you already earn. Note that continued art submissions can go towards an Artist badge.
• 
  Guru (continuous) - With the explosion of likes on Smogon's Facebook page, there are plenty of people being introduced to the site with little knowledge of competitive Pokemon, much less Doubles play. Even small things about the metagame that we take for granted could make a noticeable difference in the skill level of a new player. For every two Doubles-related trainer tips you submit to Smogon Facebook that end up being used, you can earn 1 point. You can submit trainer tips here.

Ok, since the last month ended I figured I'd post and say that the monthly leaderboard has been reset. Congrats to BlankZero, Darkmalice , Deoxymoron and lucariojr for being among the top 5 in the monthly leadeboard (and myself :) ). No awards will be given out this month since it was a shorter start and it's the first month, but be on the lookout for rewards for good performance to be announced here next month. To those who think they're too far behind to catch up to others, the monthly leaderboard always resets, so you can have a chance to be #1 every month. The overall leaderboard can also be a factor in being rewarded, so long-time contributors can also be rewarded. Good luck and happy posting!
