It's called "an alt" (or alternative account), which means an user who actually got an avatar on his main account, can transfer it to his other accounts as long as he connected once on his real account in the day.
My main account is "FFKz" which has custom avatars, I could decide to make an account called " Randomuser8686" but could still use the avatars on the account "FFKz", not sure if you understood everything I can try to explain better if you want.

Well thank for telling me this as I find it hard to get certain information about lesser know topic like this.

Dude there's probably browser extensions that are better suited for this- get one to block play.pokemonshowdown.com and you're done without the need for bans

you could probably use an antivirus/firewall or something to achieve the same effect as well

The problem is that you can just unblock it.

Whenever I access Showdown I get a "couldn't connect to server" message, tried both on computer and mobile.

I'm unsure why though, tried researching everywhere and couldn't find any solutions.

I was curious as to when the Mega Evolutions from PLZA will be added to Showdown. The main wrinkle looks to be that, unlike the Hisuian Pokémon, none of the new megas have different abilities coded in. We also have no idea if these megas will return in Gen 10, though I imagine we'll see them in Champions at least.

There's also the question of what to do with Mega Starmie, which has +140 stats like Mega Mawile and Mega Medicham. Will they be set to a base attack of 140 or 100?

There was a suspect test at the end of last year and the smogon dex is not up to date. Crit rate doesn't seem to be counted as stat and neither moves that have a less than 100% chance to boost stats like Ancient Power.

I just had the same thing happen to me. After a while without playing I came back and the site does not recognize my password even though its saved in my browser and I am 100% sure it is correct. And apparently there is nothing I can do. What a stupid way to lose a 10+ year account

No, its not. The engine doesn't support multiple ambiguous generational features (eg: dynamax, tera). It can cleanly handle megas + z moves + one of those because we just lock you into the appropriate gimmick per pokemon based on its item.

[Gen 8] Custom Game should support everything except Terastallisation (which as mentioned cannot be combined with Dynamax).

Some formats are challenge only, meaning you can't ladder them (find a random opponent) only challenge others to them privately.
