Say I have a Japanese and an Amercian version of D/P. If I traded a Pokemon with a TM attached from the Japanese version to the American version, will the TM and the Pokemon's info such as nature, ability, moves, etc. be english?

Fortunately, I've been preparing to play through a Japanese version of Pokemon Diamond. The Turtwig, Starly, and Shinx that I transferred to my US version of Diamond for training retained only their Japanese name and their Japanese OT. Moves, Abilities, Natures, all of those were English.

Entertainingly enough, when the pokemon evolved, their names transformed into English (probably because I went with the default name, heh.)

Now, I assume the TMs / items will revert to their English name upon transfer but I'll admit I haven't tried it, yet.

Is there a way to give Smeargle the move Baton Pass in DP?

go into a double battle and bring a pokemon with smeargle that knows the move. smeargle should be slower if not attach an iron ball. let the pokemon with the desired move use baton pass then let smeargle sketch

yea it is complicated, i had to do something similar for my novelty surfer smeargle
the items should revert to english, i have taken japanese pokes of the GTS with items and they were in english

I was almost going to post a new topic about the following but did not have time to organize all the links. Today is May 12, 2008 and is supposed to be the date that Pokemon Ranch comes out in North America. I have yet to go onto the wii to check but am wondering if others have attempted to download Pokemon Ranch. From what I understand, it is worth 1000 wii points and can store up to 1000 pokemon. What I don't know is whether it really is available today for sure and whether I could store it on more than one memory card in the event I have over 1000 different pokemon that I want to store separately. I've tried google searching for news and come up with nothing new to my dismay. So if anybody has any updates I'd appreciate it very much.

I'm afraid it isn't even on the launch list for WiiWare, I'd expect in the next few weeks though.

I guess if America isn't getting today the european release must be way off.

Nintendo will be adding new games to the service each Monday, just like Virtual Console releases.

This is certainly a bummer as it prolongs my having cramped boxes of pokemon I don't want to release. Hopefully it'll be the next Monday at the best.

The FAQ says:

I used to use DestinySpikes before Omastar covered my Spiking needs. She really does benefit from the hail, as any Ice team would tell you. Does nicely in Trick Room as well, not so well with Choice Scarf as far as I've tested. If you think she'll go down, Destiny Bond, if you think someone will switch into her, Spikes. Usually does it for me.

Not so much a fan of the WaveRay, only because I like to Toxic Spike.

I saw the 6 titles announced today, but Ranch wasn't one of them and I can't find a new release date for it anyone know what the deal is?

According to what I searched today, only 6 titles became available with WiiWare's launch today. I expect Pokemon Ranch to be available in the US either next Monday or the Monday following. What I don't particularly like is how Nintendo has kept us in the dark on details about Pokemon Ranch. Once it does come out, all I really care about is one thing: storage. I don't care if it gets critiqued for something that is was not meant to be.

Hopefully the same or better features that Pokemon Box allowed me to do with the advanced games. That would defeat the purpose if it only gets associated with a game that is doomed to get restarted.

I have seen people say over and over that you cannot. I am inclined to believe them. However, the point you've raised about being unable to use EPR in place of having two DSes does illustrate a huge shortcoming in the game.

Wikipedia says that May 20th is the launch date for WiiWare in Europe. However, given that Ranch isn't available here in the US today (on the US WiiWare launch date) that date is an "earliest possible" date at best. It is quite possible you will see it later than that.

Now.. I'm seeing if anyone knows a good spread, or has worked with one of these before. Yes I've looked at the Smogon Analysis and all, but that was mostly about passing speed. Does anyone have a certain EV Spread, or just go with the Analysis?

I'm kind of upset that there's a limit of 20 transfers per day, I hope that goes up as you unlock stuff.

So I was using BellyZard on PBR and it has a 30 IV stat in HP which is what the Smogon analysis said to put. But when I did the Sub and then used Belly Drum, it didn't activate. Is this b/c it only works with Charizard at lvl 100 or what?(PBR sets it to lvl 50)
